Have you had the problem of a vent hanging from the ceiling because there is nothing to screw the vent to except the drywall? Drywall is not enough to hold the register cover!
I always wonder if I won't find what I'm looking for on CZcams and I was sure, this was it. And again, CZcams proves me wrong. THANK YOU for taking the time to share your knowledge. I have this same issue and now I can fix it MYSELF. 🙏🏾💜🙏🏾
Thank you! I was just facing this same problem and I decided to search CZcams University (as I like to call it…lol) for a solution and here you are. You just saved me a lot of grief. 🇨🇦❤️🇨🇦
I know this is a little excessive but could you go in attic and install some wood blocking around the register connecting to the attic joists ,then your screw will have something to actually go into in the ceiling
That's definitely easier if the hole is not too close to the edge of drywall but in my case that wasn't an option. Thanks for mentioning it. That could work for some people.
One could try gluing a piece of wood with the right thickness to use for the screw on the side that the aluminum was used on. I like the aluminum idea, too.

Just tried this after watching your video...works great!! I had no idea what to do before this...thanks for the save!!
Great idea. I had some aluminum flashing and tape. Works great.
That is such an ingenious idea. Good job with this idea!
Thank you, 🙏 that’s a wonderful fix 😊
Great suggestion. Easy DIY hack that worked great. Thanks for the tip.

So simple but brilliant.
Great idea!
Thanks guy! Big help!
You are very cute and so is your accent. Thank you for the video!
thank you so much🙂
Brilliant
Brilliant!
Where did you purchase the docked sheet?
Genius
Why not just use a drywall anchor with screw instead of the folded aluminum?

@@babsy9912 Thank you and nice video, sir
很聪明的好办法!👍
That’s what I’m going through right now 🙄I don’t have a drill😏
If you have a sheet metal screw you don't need to pre drill the hole. It has a sharp tip and will make the hole while you drive it in.
@@babsy9912 so that's sheet metal i'm willing to try anything you get that at home depot
I bought one and OMG! Every woman should have one if they dont have a guy to fix things.
Not a good fix when you don’t have a week to make all this stuff. Anyone else know a product you can buy and do this?!
