@Yuri_The_Cat there is a saying, "to take the road less traveled", which means to choose a path different from what is normally taken in life. It might not be as easy but the rewards and lessons might be greater. "Toad less traveled" is the pun because they're frog people

Fernie is Sid the sloth
MAD respect for Damien throughout all of this, but one callout -- when Chanse said "We are not trespassers, we've been greeted by the Greeter of Gates, Rompom." -- that's a persuasion role if ever there should have been one. Distraction or SOMETHING as a result of that insanely clever reaction appealing to their societal rules.

This is my first true exposure to D&D and while, to my understanding, it may not be the most standard representation, I’m having an absolute blast so far, and feel like I might join in with a local group I’m aware of. Props to this crew for inspiring more interest in this ❤

@@justforcommenting96it’s could be accurate but I definitely wouldn’t go into a game expecting this level of polish and skill. These guys are trained actors/comedians who are doing this as a job. Most people aren’t as good at improvising and interacting with what the DM says.

Dolores’ eldritch blasts are probably my favorite descriptions of the spell ever! I love how creative everyone is with their characters and how far they’ve come
i always imagined eldritch blast like a big chunk of fire coming from above the player and hitting enemies. It's fun to see how in different DnD parties people have different ideas and imagination about how the spells look like

This series made me realize how important acting is to DnD. I tried the game ages ago for the first time and didn't think it was fun. But, I can tell with the right people, character, and embodiment that it could be quite fun.
@AJ-ht3kf yeah my main party has people who are willing to get in character. But I've been in groups where everyone just talks like themselves and it's much less enjoyable lol
@@AJ-ht3kf Yeah, it all depends on finding a group who want the same thing from the game that you do. If you like the story, roleplay, and characters, but end up in a group that focuses mostly on mechanics and combat, you won't have fun. But if you find a group -- and a DM -- that's also into the roleplay, you can tell some *amazing* stories.

I like the idea of the crew being shocked and disturbed by the death of the Bullywogs, that their immediate solution is to tear one in half themselves
