Trossard has been immense so I'm not that upset we didn't get him. I'll probably be upset in a few years though, there's no denying this kid has scary potential. I wish him the best, seems like a good guy.
Appreciate this comment. Trossard has been nothing short of exceptional since signing for you, but people already writing Mudryk off, calling him a flop e.g. is ridiculous. Already shown glimpses of quality.

Im 100% sure the guy got pressured to move to chelsea by the Shaktar Bosses and was to frail to really push for his own Interests. Shaktars People scared him of not beeing able to leave the ukraine with his family. He wanted to go to Arsenal but more than that he needed to bring his family into a place that isnt a warzone. Im Glad Arsenal got Trossard instead, Trossard is probably the better choice to win the PL Title in the current season. But man that 8 Year contract is really bad. Theres very few scenarios were signing a 8 year contract is not a massive downside for a potentially Worldclass Player.
What do you mean an 8 year deal is a downside for him? If he sucks he gets paid pretty well for crazy long. If he becomes world-class they will give him a raise. That is always how it works.

BLUE 💙 Perfectly said 👏
Very good play
🙏🏾🙏🏾💙💙
Look, as an Arsenal fan....we all wanted him and it was gutting he went elsewhere, but, the fact is this:
Arsenal offered bonuses that Shaktar didnt think were realistic....Chelsea did!
As a selling club, Shaktar did what was best for them. As a selling club its their right to look out for their best interests and no one else.
Chelsea not only wanted to pay what Shaktar asked...they flew over personally to persuade the lad and took him back that same day on a plane, it had already been confirmed Arsenal were done with the transfer and pulled out the day before all this happened (based on what shaktar's CEO has said).
REALITY IS CHELSEA REALLY WANTED THE DEAL MORE THAN ARSENAL AND DID WHAT WAS NECESSARY TO GET IT DONE!
When Mudryk apparrantly asked Shaktar would Arsenal be improving their terms he was told "NO, THEY HAVE WALKED AWAY"
Now, At this point the lad can't wait around forever....SHAKTAR TOLD HIM MOVE NOW, WITH CHELSEA, OR WAIT TIL THE SUMMER!" the shaktar CEO said as much.
You have to weigh up that in this moment, Mudryk has a really big choice to make. If he stayed then a lot can happen until the summer, he could get injured, lose form, or his price could rise even higher also....all of which hinder his chances of a dream premier league move. Plus no guarantee Arsenal would come back in for him.
SO THE LAD TOOK THE CHANCE TO GO WHILE HE HAD IT. Not to mention it got him out of a country currently at war.
He was gunna get 48k-50k a year on a 5 year Arsenal deal.....n his agent, being smart, probably used the "he really wants arsenal so change his mind" line.... n went n got him a deal double that of 8 n half years at 100k a week.
Its just good business sense from the agent and players point of view and with all considered, who can really blame Mudryk in all of this? He always said he wanted the premier league...he could hardly pass it up.
As it stands, we got Trossard instead....and he has been brilliant.
Despite him being a "BLUE" I wish Mudryk all the best...however, he really has a lot to do to get to reach his full potential.
Preferably the longer he struggles the better, being a gooner. But i think once he does get going he will be a nightmare.
If it doesn't work out at Chelsea, who knows....could he still even end up a Gunner? Stranger things and stranger transfers have happened in football. You can never say never.
But for now we simply have to move on from coming accross being salty about it, when for now...at least....we have ended up better off.
Damn👏🏽
Not all strictly true, its been confirmed he's only on 5-10k per week more at Chelsea than he would've been at Arsenal, all be it on a longer contract.
In reality arsenal doesn’t have the pull Chelsea does . Chelsea is a European heavyweight
Facts
@@ollyeke9534 European Heavyweight? Hardly. Dont come at me with that b*ll*cks.
You will always have a player leave Chelsea if the likes of Real Madrid, Barcelona, Juventus, Bayern Munich or yes... even Manchester UTD.... want them.....because those are considered the real heavyweight clubs around Europe. That is just keeping it real! I'm sure that will annoy a few blues....but truth hurts.
All that current Chelsea squad would leave right now if one of the above mentioned came knocking for them.
The likes of Chelsea and City will always be a club that have to overpay in transfer fees and wages to get the players to come in or to stay....thats it. No one is envious of their history spanning back only 20-25 years or so, which was clearly bought, not earned, for consistantly being a winning club throughout the ages since they began.
Chelsea were an FA cup team at best before the money dripping Abramovich player churning machine came along....and Chelsea only ever won Europe, or anything else for that matter after he arrived, coz of his open cheque book.
Their whole fan base was praying when he got forced to leave because they knew how much trouble the club would be in without him sustaining them.
No other team could just consistently buy world class players and then just discard them, like they didnt exist (that list is endless by the way) by sending them out on loan if they simply didnt work.
Chelsea just fell lucky all the sanctions werent in place back then like they are now. Like city are going through.
Proper Euro heavyweights had to build that over decades and stay consistant....spending what they earned through winning. Not have some billionaire come in like it was his brand new toy that he bought coz he got bored....and just spend, spend, spend til he found the right formula that worked.
Even after they won those trophies...it didnt cover the losses on the overall spend to achieve it did it? Hell...they didnt brake even either.
Listen, had it been Arsenal...i wouldn't have grumbled either, buying everyone under the sun to win.... Let them spend away.
But their is no harm in being humble in admitting how you got to the top.
And Chelsea fans are so arrogant in feeling they deserve respect from every other team out there as the biggest club in the world, or that their club has earned the right to boast to be as big as anyone, but the reality is your still not considered as big as the other clubs mentioned above to players around world football.
If Madrid, Barca, Bayern ect will pay them 100k a week, Chelsea would have to offer 250k a week to even tempt them to turn their head from the others interested and would still probably turn Chelsea down for a bigger shirt.
Come up with any argument you want, but only Chelsea fans will respond to this annoyed. Every other fan in football knows i'm right.
For many a fan it never really hurts seeing a team like PSG, Chelsea or Man City winning their league...or like when Chelsea won Europe the CL, it was just expected after spending billions to get you to a winning level.
I just find it laughable you all want the credit for being this massive club when you only got it via means no other club could at the time. For such a heavy weight Chelsea also sit 10th right now after no points penalties or sanctions, unlike Juve, but even they still seem to rise up the ranks....ya know, like a true heavyweight does!
We gooners dont regret your decision as well mate 😅 but all the best for your career bro 💯
