Wwe looks so so so much better. Graphics and moves look way smoother. Aew looks like a remastered version of wrestlemania2000 on n64

I'm really happy that fans of the arcade game style are getting what they love. I've always preferred more realism but having a good competition always pays off.
I’m convinced fight forever was made for the switch and they just ported it to next gen. It’s so small
I like wwe2k23 more and I think the graphics ar better but the matches in aew fight forever is the most insane

The ladder matches are fun I like being able to jump out of the ring, ladder to ladder w/ moves and dropping the opponent on the weapons looks cool too so definitely for weapons and just beating tf outta your opponent AEW for that
And I like how you can change the colors and patterns of all the weapons

2k wind hands down, finishers just feel more authentic.
Now if you want simulation/realism then buy WWE, if you want an arcady feel then buy AEW. At the end of the day it's all down to personal preferences.

Nah, if you want arcadey, literally any of the Smackdown vs Raw games, HCTP, buy some damn wrestling action figures and play with them because those are all far better options than AEW. Both of these games suck and you people only keep buying them because you have no other options. You could play the MDickie games, the ones that AEW:FF rips off heavily, but those are mainly mobile or on the computer. Still far better options.

I don't like how in AEW FF your opponent seems to get up almost immediately even after a finisher, does this happen often? I hated that in the earlier Smackdown games.

Nah, you just gotta save and use the finisher with their HP momentum is low, if you hit em while there not to bad off then yeah they are gonna walk it off like some wrestlers in WWE after they take like two or three finishers.

One of the old WWE games figured in the weight classes, and certain people could not lift others up for slams.

i personally enjoy AEWs controls more... they both have their bugs but i haven't been able to finish a WWE career / campaign in this or last years release...
AEWs goal was "easy to pickup and play" but still be fun. While buggy...it did accomplish that. I Have fun playing this game w/my wife and 2 kids weekly. It wasn't as doable with WWE and the QTE are EXTREMELY annoying.
Because 2K company is using motion capture on making those moves.
I have both and for a wrestling fan you gotta get both. Because Aew reminds me of the wcw/nWo revenge days. And well wwe 2k is well wwe 2k. But aew has men vs women, the women also bleed. And if you got 5 belts you come out with 5 belts. Can't wait to see what both games do next

Some of thr moves in 2K do come off soft. I think it's interesting that thr combination of thr animation and th mat sound make a move look devastating or not.
Interestingly enough, some of 2K's moves look more impactful (if not more dramatic) than those in FF

The games are basically the same 😂😂 except for the roaters. Yukes code hasn't left wwe games. The only thing 2k added is their glitchy unpolished code
7:25 The moment 2K became a certain past wrestling arcade game. Not even Lex Luger in his prime was going to do this, and Yoko had his OH NO! spot of being finally lifted and slammed by him.
Fun though to see in a virtual arcade like experience for the funzies though. Why this game was featuring Cena instead of Undertaker for the box art and story though just feels in bad timing. With Undertaker retiring just during the time of the last game, this felt like it was the moment for the true send off of the best phenomenon wrestling has ever known in an iconic character, and the true end of an age.
I also notice that the ref actions feel like they're getting lazier and lazier. If the tapping was going for that long, why the hell wouldn't they act like they need to get involved or at least shout at the other wrestler? Was it really that much more to ask instead of having them stand there staring out to nowhere after finishing their blatant match called animation ?
I expect that from an indie tittle, not a formally licensed WWE tittle born out of a company that pushes such visuals as the appeal. Feels like a simple ad to point them toward the wrestler or looking back realizing they're still tapping longer than some garage band's drum solo.

the release of this after getting last year's game and realizing the money grubbing tactics that is the expectation of starting over after every single year, often by the time you get a chance to get to the last game you bought finally, is just unreal.
If AEW does a better job with their character creator, rather go with a game that respects it's buyers and maybe puts one out only after every few years with real reasons why if not simply giving us what other games can. And that's just simply fair continued support that doesn't ask us to start over for such barely incremental changes like slightly prettier and barely noticeable visual changes and match types that should've been DLC.
