I'm actually quite impressed with how much effort the devs have put in to streamlining their game and adding new features throughout the years. Respect for their dedication
It’s genuinely amazing and kinda terrifying how Josh doesn’t have to work hard to find bugs in games
It's the sign of a true master to make their hard work look effortless.
see you miss understand. he's just using simple problem solving. He asks the question "Can i do this?" then when the answer is 'Yes' he just takes it to the Nth degree to see what the limit is. while having fun. Then when his CPU cries in protest in the shear number of objects he produced. He determines that it's limitless then goes to the next thing.
It's a lot of work to try taking like 50 different mechanics to the Nth degree, and testing just one can take hours. He only shows the most interesting things he finds though, so it looks like half the things he tries work or break in an entertaining manner, but he's actually doing much more work and just cutting vast majority that isn't very funny.

I love how no one asked Josh to test Hydroneer for bugs yet he does so for the sole purpose of entertaining himself and his viewers. Plus the amount of patience he puts in this game is both fascinating and terrifying
I love that this video begins with the phrase "The only game I know of where there is a wanted sign for my immediate capture!" and that it includes "I know of" since I think it is a pretty safe bet they exist in games he just hasn't found yet. This is how you know you are doing good work.

I can pretty much guarantee that's exactly what's happening. I am an indie game dev (Black Forest is the game, over on Steam) and I constantly look for people streaming or posting videos of the game, because that's the absolute best bug reports I can possibly get. I will see by myself what exactly happened. Doing this has helped me find and fix maybe a hundred bugs.

It's great that he's spent so little time digging in this game that he didn't know you could create an infinite amount of dirt. Or he waited until he could use it for a good joke. Either way, nice job.
You gotta give it to him, the amount of labor he puts into it is far beyond what anyone with sanity would do.
