  • The drivers side window in White Lightnin, my 1962 Chevy C10 was jamming on the way down and wouldn't go all the way up as it left about a 3/8" gap at the top. I found that one of the regulator rollers was out of track! But that didn't fix the entire problem.. Then I found out that one of the rivets in a pivot point had been replaced by an Allen bolt and was sloppy. So I replaced that with a flange nut welded in place to take up the slop. AND then I found a bent linkage as well! So I straightened that out and lubricated everything and it works like a champ!
This is a knee knocker 1960 through 1963 truck but should apply to 1964 through 1966 versions as well.

Everytime I touch a car I lose knuckle skin. Mortske I'm impressed with absolutely every video.

CrossThreader 2000!! 😂 funny I went looking for a video about a 1963 Chevy truck window problem, and came full circle right back to my old favorite Mortski, thanks man!

A bit of white lithium grease on the tension spring would have alleviated the popping noise of the spring rubbing against itself . . but you already knew that, didn't you. Great channel, keep up the good work.

Great video as always and love the comedy.
I have a 63 C10 and my passenger side window spring is weak where the window don’t move when cranked but I can slide it up and down easy and it stays wherever I want.
I bought a new regulator setup to swap it.
Do I need to do all your steps or can I leave the triangle window in place to take out the glass to swap the regulator?
    Thanks!!!

This pickup, White Lightnin, has a 3 speed overdrive, which would have been a factory option. My 1966, Rex, in the radiator video I posted a while back, has an NV3500 that I removed from a 1993 S10 with a 4.3. Pretty straight forward swap. Converted the pickup to a hydraulic clutch, built a crossmember, made a new driveshaft, drilled a different hole in the transmission tunnel. Drives WAY better than the old 4 speed! Thanks for watching!

What's the fun in that?!? They're really not that bad and I haven't had good luck with offshore replacement parts as of recent. Thanks for watching!
