How Michael Penix Jr. could make things 'awkward' for Kirk Cousins | Dan Patrick Show | NBC Sports

It's not the Penix pick. It's the 180 million dollars for Cousins AND the pick. This is all about opportunity cost. The Falcons decided that insurance for the future was more important than winning now.
So glad, the Falcons did not let, Bill Belichick, come in and mess things up. They managed that, their own.
Atlanta just blew $100 Million! Why would they sign the guy, and turn around and pick a 1st Round QB!
Cousins is injury prone so badly, who’s to say he won’t get hurt 5 games into the season?? Then the pick makes sense but not really still lol
Kirk ain't been hurt his 13 yrs of playing 🤔
@@Keith_No_Sweat WHY did he have surgery then?
I'm glad the Falcons did this move! Cousins is 35 or 36 y/o coming off achilles surgery & a pocket QB who had major injuries! A whole lot of money spent!
Then why did they sign Cousins?
@@alexamerling79I think they signed Kirk as a smokescreen to get Penix because if they didn't have a veteran qb a lot of teams would have been looking to draft up to get Penix. None of the other teams below Atlanta who needed a qb expected the Falcons to make that move because they have Cousins. Why they signed him for so much money though idk
The bucs and saints are going to run the nfc South for years to come. There is just to much dysfunction in the brass of the falcons and Panthers.
Falcons have 2 QBs Now💪🏾 it time for yall to set funeral arrangements 😂😂
Paying Cousins was the mistake. Not drafting Penix. And if you do pay Cousins, don’t lie to him and tell him he is your future.
There was no guarantee a top tier QB would be available in the draft. Reports say the falcons tried trading up to the top three picks, but no teams bit.
If I was KC, I could careless! I am getting fucking paid regardless if I play or not. He is going to take his time getting back to QB shape . . . See what happens!
Cluster F franchise
Arthur "Shooting Blanks"
imagine the falcons missing the playoffs the next 2 years with cousins, then starts penix and he tears his acl a 3rd time, while being docked 1st round draft picks in the next two drafts...
This dudes a joke
The Cousins contract was the mistake.
