@@tokyowiz No ads. Originally, I was only going to sub to Premium during Oct 2020 to avoid all the political ads. But once you go Premium, you never want to go back. I tried, and quickly found myself back with Premium.
CZcams is mostly a lot of distracting, fluff, attention sapping content tho. Doesn't give you the same satisfaction as watching an actual well written series from beginning to end does. I mostly just use CZcams to learn things.
That rant in the middle was incredible. Thanks for the angry yet motivational rant.

I totally agree with your opinion about Gujohachiman being a fantastic place to visit. I spent three days there and it was one of the most rewarding and awe-inspiring trips in my entire life. The restaurants are top notch and I particularly loved the water streams running down the streets and the beautiful shrines. Highly recommended! That new gimble has made a huge difference too. Well done.

Some of the most interesting morning walks in Tokyo is in Shinjuku on Saturday and Sunday mornings when people are stumbling out of clubs after a long night.

I love that there are many videos available. I may not be able to visit Japan due to my health. So, I can visit through your streaming & videos. I love your camping ones! A few years back, I had a fantastic opportunity to do a book tour in Japan & S. Korea. But my publisher went out of business. And I had no idea who the publishers were who were collaborating. I do hope I can get my novels republished soon so maybe, the book tour can happen. I want to go to Japan & especially to Hokkaido as we’ve been invited by Elders of the Ainu.

This was actually a fun little venture of what Japan is like for locals. I don't really mind the backstreets and alleyways of Japan at all. Here in Las Vegas, there's side streets, but you can't really go through the backside areas of casinos unless you're an employee or someone that's picking up a family member that works there. At times, there are incidents where tourists accidentally stumbled upon employee walkways but the casino security are usually on top of things. To be honest, life outside of the Las Vegas Strip is a whole lot better.
Christmas in Tokyo is really an experience!!!

@Holly Wallace If you pin the middle of the street where he starts (have to use businesses as guides) and use the measuring tool, you can trace the path he takes. Not sure if that's creepy (trying not to be), but doing that allowed me to understand the locations of the two shrines he showed in previous videos that he visited today.
I feel like I know the area so well now. 😁 It's like driving the streets of a town you move to so you know where everything is.

I wish I'd been able to catch this live. Just turned on the notification bell to make sure I don't miss out in the future...something I should've done *ages* ago. And I think this is the best advertisement possible for the gimbal you're using...probably going to order one here soon. On a note perhaps more related to the video...if I lived in Tokyo, I'd have a very hard time *not* being a morning person...would be too enamored with doing exactly this, just walking backstreets and exploring.

early morning in tokyo seems so peaceful, i guess it's also because it's at the backstreets. still, i loved watching this. the vibe and the rain makes it somewhat cosy

People who disparage anyone for posting too much, too little, demand content that only meets their interest, may have limited interest or lack the confidence to put themselves out there with their own expressions of the world. The comment I enjoyed the most was encouraging others to talk to strangers when they travel. It really does make a trip more memorable. But it all comes back to the more we allow ourselves to experience new things, the more we grow and learn.
I wish I could have made the live but I was at work. Thank you for sharing the backstreets.

I was just gotten back from going out grocery shopping when you started this stream and am sad I missed it but I'm so glad that these stay up online (unlike most Twitch streams) so that people like myself can still watch the stream hours later. Hopefully I can catch the next one.
Showed my best friend the 3-ish minutes with the shrine pony and she called it out as a Shetland just as I was looking it up on Google, where the first article mentions her breed.
At least 1 bare cement or brick wall is a nice visual look, even if just a wallpaper for the effect, since it's the same as having 1 wall not white.
I think I've been in that exact Excelsior cafe! I have a photo somewhere looking out that glass window...

Thank you for taking us on this walk with you. Such a lovely experience. Edit: miniature horses are also guide animals. They might be training them to acclimatize them to the city.

Some of these alleys look straight from a haunted movie or apocalyptic due to the lack of people xD its fascinating seeing locations on off times :> keep it up!
As an aspiring photographer and cinematographer, I might have to give that gimbal a look.

When I went to Japan google maps emded up taking me on a thirty minute walk through rural/ the backstreets of Tokyo and it was so conflicting- was it ominous and like a ghost town or was it liminal and hauntingly peaceful? I dont know. But I loved it.
This is so serene and relaxing. Also, some people have emotional support miniature horses, that's definitely a thing.
