No gray is a awesome song, I had just finish teaching Bible study on Wednesday night, heading home and turn on the radio and this song came on.and it was the same thing that I was teaching on.God is good.
Change is hard especially when it's God that's doing the changing and he's changing you.. Because when God is changing you to be what he created you to be(Jeremiah 29:11), he's going to break you all the way down, stripping you of everything that is not of him. This type of change will be painful because you will not understand WHY, lonely because sometimes God has to sit you by yourself so that you can SEE his purpose, and difficult especially when your FIGHTING against his will. BUT EVENTUALLY I GOT TIRED OF FIGHTING
Frankie Dankie. I think you hit the nail on the head. Change is hard when God is doing the changing and you are fighting Him.
When Jesus called us He said:
"Come unto me, all ye that labour and are heavy laden, AND I WILL GIVE YOU REST.
29 "Take my yoke upon you, and learn of me; for I am meek and lowly in heart: AND YE SHALL FIND REST unto your souls.
30 For my yoke is easy, and my burden is light" (Matthew 11:28-30).
If we are truly convinced that God is good and His plans for us are to give a future and a hope (Jeremiah 29:11) in this life and beyond, then it makes it easier for us to submit to Him IN FAITH.
If we are not fully convinced of this, then we'll resist Him to our detriment.
Whenever I see myself in a place of resistance to what God is telling me to do, I tell Him. I don't hide it. Then I ask Him to "cause me to walk in Your ways by the power of Your Holy Spirit, in spite of my flesh and my mind's objections in the Name of Jesus."
