In this video, we are going to cover the North York area; it's buzzing with great dining, beautiful trails, and many things to do. Whether you live in this area or if you are gathering information to move here, watch this video and contact me for more information on this fantastic community.
    Where is North York?
North York is one of the six cities that make up the Greater Toronto Area (GTA). It's located in the northern part of Toronto. Roughly bounded by the Humber River to the west, Steeles Avenue to the North, Victoria Park Avenue to the East, and the southern boundary is roughly around Lawrence.
North York is a diverse and international-oriented neighborhood and one of the fastest growing parts of the region due to its proximity to Old Toronto. It became a city in 1979; on Valentine‘s Day, its corporate slogan was "The City with Heart". North York has been attracting high-density residences, rapid transit, and several corporate headquarters in the North York City Centre.
Is North York a good place to live?
Known as Toronto's “Second Downtown,” there are many reasons to live in North York.
One of the reasons why North York is such a great place to live is because it's close to downtown Toronto. It's also home to some of the best schools in Canada, making it an attractive area for families with school-aged children. The North York area is also growing quickly and has many new developments in the plan. There are plenty of job opportunities in the area as well, with many companies moving their offices here because of its proximity to Toronto's downtown core.
North York City Centre is the central business district of North York, located along Yonge Street between Sheppard and Finch Avenue. This place has an abundance of tall residential condominiums, office towers, banks, Canada Service Center, restaurants, coffee shops, and many shops.
North York is a beautiful and diverse neighborhood. It offers all of the amenities that you might need, including grocery stores, parks, schools, as well as public transit options. It is home to two subway lines, Yonge - University Subway line that goes north of Finch Subway Station, and another subway line from Yonge St, across Sheppard Ave East to Don Mills station. Transportation is another reason that North York is an attractive place to live and work.
    New Condos in North York
You have probably noticed that many of the shopping malls, including, Yorkdale, Centre point mall, and Bayview village, are converting their parking lots into residential towers to utilize space and bring in more business into the commercial units. North York is a name for the area north of Toronto that includes many neighborhoods. Bridle Path in North York is Toronto’s most expensive neighborhood. Some of the other following luxury neighborhoods in North York are Hogg's Hollow, Willowdale, Banbury-Don Mills, and Hogg's Hollow.
North York is one of Canada’s most appealing areas today to residents of all kinds. Today the city is home to over 800 condo sites, with many new condo projects coming soon. Contact me to find out more about the upcoming developments and investment opportunities in this area. North York has many traits that make it so appealing to homebuyers and businesses. Its growing economy and high employment rate are the main contributing factors to its growth over the years. About 28% of the population of the city of Toronto resides in the area. Due to the demand for North York houses, property values have risen by over 40% in the last 3 years, making it an excellent place to invest in the Greater Toronto Area real estate.
It has many amenities and attractions that are worth checking out. North York is home to Ontario Science Centre, the Aga Khan Museum, Sprawling Downsview Park, and Edwards Gardens.

I grew up in North York right near Yonge and Steeles. It used to be an awesome place to live, now it is way too crowded. House prices are ridiculous also. We sold our family 3000 sq ft home in 1986 for $190k, now its worth over 2 million....NUTS!!

    • @ahmedzakikhan7639

Made a big mistake selling !! More crowd = more demand = and more demand means more price.

Looks like the only walkable neighbourhood in North York is on Yonge Street. Everywhere else is shopping centres connected by arterial road that are neither safe or inviting for pedestrians and cyclists. I live 2km from Shoppes in Don Mills and it's a challenge to get there without a car.
North York needs separated and protected bike lanes.

North York is diverse, but not in the same way Markham is. You will likely find different ethnicities in just about every corner in North York, but in Markham its different. Unionville is mostly Chinese, whereas the area east of McCowan and south of 14th is mostly Indian. Go north to Elgin mills it's mostly Caucasians living close to the farms. The only truly diverse area in Markham is Cornell, where lots of new developments are taking place.
