Katana Skeletor approves, despite me literally making a script for a fun goofy Katana Guide LITERALLY YESTERDAY!!! (Little note I started writing this at like 11:30 PM cst on the 8th so when I said yesterday I mean the 7th) Like literally I had an entire Powerpuff Girl themed skit made up in my head for the intro, and a little montage making fun of the kids that use the Katana but don't move at all using a dumb song. I was going to put a graph in about dashing and everything. Well might as well make it a movement guide then because I feel more at home with movement. Also, little something I found out you can do. If you want to be a cheeky little bastard before the match starts and you are able to move, you can climb on the ground. Also, when he said, "but now a days all you get is speed" YOU SHOULD HAVE CUT THE MUSIC THAT WOULD HAVE BEEN SUPER FUNNY!!!
But also let me add some stuff that wasn't mentioned.
YOU DON'T HAVE TO SWING THE KATANA LIKE A WAB NAB!!! Literally just tap someone with it and they are dead, like you could be moving 1 mile per hour and just tap them on the head, they are dead.
If you want to get specific 2 handed increases the damage of the Katana by about 40%
Proper Damage numbers
One Handed Legs: 94
One Handed Chest: 125
One Handed Head: 150
Two Handed Legs: 132
Two Handed Chest:175
Two Handed Head: 211
Just as a reminder Character HP is 200.
Katana Spirit increases your speed by 30%
If you no longer need spirit and want to conserve it, you can disable it by doing the same thing you did to enable it.
I would like to say the damage intervals in between hits, but I am not that smart. I will test it out one of these days.
You have a gun ... is it generally useless? Yes. Is it good for a last-ditch effort if you somehow run out of jet pack in an engagement? Yes.
Another method of using the Katana, the quick draw method, literally when I use the Katana literally about half the time, I am not even holding it but instead using both hands to climb, only pulling it out when killing. If there is one thing I like doing on Club in that one hallway with just a bunch of pillars, just bouncing between them and the wall every now and then alternating between the walls. Not to mention it also works both arms out instead of only one.
Also, if I want to say one simple thing to those Katana haters that are constantly like "Katana is broken". One, unless you are trying to juke the Katana player, stop moving forward against a Katana player their goal is to get in. Two, stop talking people can hear where you are thanks to proximity chat. Three you can hear when a Katana user using spirit is near you because it will make that shing sound. Four, get gud.
You know might as well make an in-depth Katana guide.
(Also yes, I am editing this as I think of more things don't judge me)
And sorry for being an absolute critic, but when using the Katana, mobility should have been mentioned first, literally I don't care what kind of damage I can do, if I can't get to them what is the point of even discussing damage at all? I like to say this whenever I think of my speeches in the shower.
"If the Katana player never gets close to you, he never hits you, if he never hits you, then you don't die, if you don't die you are still living, if you are still living you are able to shoot, and if you are able to shoot then you are able to chip away at the Katana user's health and eventually kill him."
Mobility is a prerequisite to using the Katana.
I use the katana and pistole it just works a lot for me. I use the pistole to lower someone health then I slice the head it’s a good strat

when i play with katana (i only use katana, so all the time), i just use my jetstream sam impression and tell everyone "LETS DANCE" or "SHOW ME A GOOD TIME JACK"

Did you know that if you press Y/B you can change the mode to old spirit and is called slash it has a red trail not like the green trail by spirit

I choose minigun, it gives me rocket launcher, I choose katana and it gives me shotgun, etc. how do I get it to work? I really want to use katana but no matter what I choose it doesn’t give me katana

Use the knife with the katana
that's what I do, you run faster, it's easier to manage than 2 handing the katana, and if you dash into their head with both weapons it's basically a 1 hit kill
Stull trying to figure out why it takes me around 8 hits to kill someone but everyone 1 hits me even with overshield.
Playing in Hardcore mode will eliminate your frustrations

Slash makes u slower and stronger. Spirit makes you faster and gives regen.

Probably due to how with katana it's really hard to focus on more than one target due to having to get so close to your opponent

This one in here is a top player who was on my team for the tournament and we placed 3rd. The people we were playing against are not pros. Join some of the tournaments sometime they are a lot of fun. They usually give out Raider Coins.
