Glimpses of Chogyam Trungpa Rinpoche's Life and Legacy in Tibet

Extraordinary dharma teacher. Author. Poet. Terton. Holder of the profound lineages of mahamudra and dzogchen. Leader of a major Buddhist organization. Invigorating the ancient tradition of Shambhala. Knower of the exceedingly direct, and difficult, path of crazy wisdom.
These are among the accomplishments of Chögyam Trungpa Rinpoche known to his students in the West. Yet all of these qualities were already present during his time in Tibet, even though he was then quite young.
Chögyam Trungpa Rinpoche is still much revered, and missed, by those in Tibet and in the West who knew him or were affected by him.
This 2011 video, previously only available as a DVD from Konchok Foundation, was uploaded to the internet in 2017 as part of the commemoration of the thirtieth anniversary of Chögyam Trungpa Rinpoche's parinirvana. It was recorded by Lyndon Comstock, Jon Ransohoff and Surmang Khenpo, incorporating interviews with Trungpa Rinpoche's brother and several other people who knew him before 1959, when he left Tibet.

I incarnated in the West the same month and year Rinpoche liberated past the Chinese lack of attainment from Tibet into India. Honored immeasurably by His lifelong efforts, teaching and blessing always . . even creating Dharma foundations in Colorado in dedication to and in honor of . . . .(unspoken) . . . .
It is in His Crazy Wisdom (to always be himself no matter what foundations were laid by Buddha before) that He truly honors the Mahasiddha . . .
