We bought two of these, paid a handyman to put two together. He had it done in 2 days. We have had them almost a year and they have held up well. This is also through very high winds. Highly recommend.
Hi, What was the price to assemble the two greenhouses?
Just curious do you know how they set up the foundation part
Every time we had an issue from the instructions that stumped us, this video made the task much easier to understand! Thanks!
For those curious about what type of base to use: we cut out existing sod to expose the dirt. We used a layer of 5/8 minus gravel to level the ground as best as possible and hand tamped it in. Then we used 1/2 inch layer of paver sand screeted to level and Brock brand paver pads on top. We layed our pavers on top in a 10x10 square to leave patio space all around the greenhouse. Lotsa work but worth it!
The greenhouse took us 3 easy going days to build. We built the walls in the garage on level ground before standing them up on the pad.
Other then my wife assisting in holding up the front and back walls while attached the side I was able to do all of this myself - and I'm 61! One small error when I was installing the lower shelves so had to do a little disassembly and reinstall but past that this video is a huge help. All I got left is to install the door which will happen tomorrow.
I think what took the most time was unpacking the whole thing and taping up the panels - trying to get the sticky stuff exposed is not easy with big fingers - overall looks like a quality product and well engineered - AND - wife is happy - which means I am happy :)
That's very reassuring, thank you!
We're waiting for the rain to stop (eventually) before attempting assembly. Must admit, I'm nervous.
May I just ask what kind of screws you used?
@@heidihein8662 I used the screws that were supplied with the kit. I also built a level base with 4x6 treated timbers, then made a truss floor out of 2x4s and got some cedar planks for the floor - looks great and wife loves it!
@@paulkinderis1000 thanks for taking the time to reply. I opened the boxes this morning and saw that the screws were included.
I found it really helpful to put a piece of painter's tape on the UV side of the panels as I was pulling off the green film. Way easier than keeping track of a little notch.
Another tip: you can put a strip of tarp under the hinge when installing to help keep it from leaking inside the greenhouse - just make sure it has a little extra in the middle for when the hinge bends.
I had some issues with alignment on everything and had to do adjustments once it was upright and mostly put together. The poly panels, although I had stored them inside until I was ready to install them, and put the tape on as directed, had internal condensation after a few days after putting them into place. This was probably the most frustrating part of the whole project. I didn't feel like ripping the whole thing apart to try to remedy it, so now I guess I'll just have steamy windows...
I also had a lot of trouble with a bowed piece in the back wall and one side of the roof was wracked and the roof panels wouldn't go in right because of that. I'm going back out tomorrow, taking some screws out, and seeing if I can get that side straightened out, The other side was perfect. Putting this together mostly by myself with the occasional help of a second person. It's taken 3 days so far, 4 with the base installation, and I should be done with it tomorrow - if the roof cooperates.
If you need any replacement parts reach out to Yardistry Customer Experience at 1-888-509-4382
Update: I was able to get the roof straightened out enough to get the panels in - it wasn't perfect like the other side, but it's functional and looks good. I think most of my alignment issues had to do with me assembling solo and not having a hard, level surface to work on. I don't have a garage, so I had to assemble everything on a tarp on the ground. It still went together in a few days and looks great! I recommend having two drills - one for the drill bit and one for the screw bit.
Great Video! It was really helpful to go back and forth from the manual to the video. It took me about 28 hours over 5 days to build it.
I did 95% by myself. It was a very easy build. Most of the parts fit the way described.
I did need to buy more silicone caulk to fill in the gaps.
I found having and rubber mallet, furniture clamps and a ratchet strap was very helpful.
Some of the wood wasn't straight but it worked out anyway. I would recommend staining all the parts before constructing.
It would look better and have better coverage.
I did put chicken wire on the inside of the roof vent to keep out any animals.
Overall We are very happy with the greenhouse.
We are building ours now and I fully agree with the need for mallet and clamps or straps! We also didn't completely install the screws for each assembly until we ensured it was all properly aligned and square.
Finished mine. It took about 8 days part time completing. Well-engineered and we love it. Some feedback: not enough silicon caulk, missing #10 x 1-1/4”
Pan Screw (Black) about 20 shy. Roof vent door was bowed, but we made it work.
What did you do for foundation?
@@bobbyjj5080 Maybelline
I ran out of black pan screws too. I ended up spray painting the bronze ones. And I ran out of caulk too but because one of my exploded after one panel
2 day build for us. Not enough window tape with 4 roof windows to install and ran out. Carton was damaged during shipping and the door window had a dent in it. Customer service was great. Some pieces would just not line up perfectly do to warping. We ran an underground conduit under the gravel packed pad beforehand for lighting etc. Will add an exhaust fan and/or misting fan later. We also used 4x4 treated lumber for shed to sit on top of, and will fill in with more gravel and pavers. Nice shed for the money. Check the price at your local Costco first, as it may be on sale!
Only feedback is more spacers like others said, and by the time I was putting up the door I ran out of black pan screws so I spray painted the bronze ones 😅. Otherwise great instructions, great companion CZcams video. My wife is in love. (With the greenhouse not me 😂).
It took me about 30-35 hours completely by myself over a few days. It is possible to do some of the multi-person parts of the instructions. For instance I propped up the roof pieces on saw horses from the outside so I could lift them up from the inside. But squaring the unit by myself was the most difficult part.
This is clearly one of the best instructional demo videos I have seen. Great detail and simple and clear. Thank you.
Thank you ! We are very happy to hear you found helpful.
Looking forwarding to picking mine up in a few weeks.
Great video! Clear and helpful.
Seems a great Greenhouse?
I bought two a week or so ago, and have just finished building it. (Took 3 days) I combined the two into one large 7ft x 15ft-ish Greenhouse. Changed the sill in both back walls, so they could then sit flush, and bolted and sealed them together. Joining them also messes up the internal lower shelving, but you can use your imagination and adapt.
They were on a Deal at my local Costco. I had previously bought one of the Yardistry Pavilions, so understood how they work. They seem a little rickety, and fragile, as individual pieces of wood, but they come together at the end, and are solid and good-looking when you are finished.
Hello, I would love to see pics of what you did with the 2 greenhouses! Is there any way you can share a link or pics? Thank you
@@tonyaparks9977 I don’t know if it is the same person but someone posted pictures of this in the reviews on the yardistry website.
Not a bad project , like everyone else "not enough tape " , also my vent door was warped slightly & does not lay flat in the vent opening. The taping of windows is a major time killer ! But the folks at Yardistry were a great help when I called !
The Anti- Dust tape is important to help prevent condensation on the polycarbonate. If you need additional tape please contact Yardistry Customer Support at 1-888-509-4382
This is a very valuable video. It took me two days to complete greehhouse using two people and it was actually pretty fun. I'm dissapointed in the leaking hinge and will apply more silicone when it stops raining. The greenhouse also is absorbing water and the base or bottom is wet inside and the plywood floor is wet. Haven't applied stain yet as it has not been warm enough and not sure that will address the problem.
You should have a chain setup for room vent for wind protection, allowing safety from being ripped off if wind gets strong.
Something I see numerous owners speak of.
Done ours in about 3 days, watched video several times, Some beams warped and twisted, so had to clamp them straight, in fact i used clamps a lot, didn't have 3 people, The roof hinge leaks, apparently by design, that's just bad design, I will come up with a better solution. The wife absolutely loves it, so great, just a bit better quality control in China needed especially at $2000 aussie dollars, I also needed a fourth tube of silicone. Cheers
They are a Canadian company.
Did you apply sealant on the hinge as described on page 62 of the instructions (not mentioned in the video)?
@@POlesiuk Sure did, Cheers
@@POlesiuk Mine leaks too and I applied sealant
@@enfelice Well, have you been to Vancouver lately? ;)
What is the point of background music? I am watching this video to learn how to install the greenhouse. Not for entertainment.
Thanks for your video! I’m thinking of ordering one from you !
Loved everything about Yardisty, greenhouse, video, and customer service. Only question I had was how to get caulk that got on plexiglass off.
We had many warped boards and it was difficult to get the main ceiling beam to align into the spaces. This took over 5 days to build.
Good video, Thank You
I had plenty of caulk left! The dispensing cone that screws onto the tub beads a perfect thin line of caulk that easily smooths into the gap. DON’T cut or make tube any wider. There’s no need and you waste caulk.
I hate it when people waste caulk
This Video is very helpful!
Glad you think so!
What is the best method of removing oil based wood deck stain from the uv coated poly carbonate panels on my Yardistry greenhouse? I've searched online & haven't found any information on how to do so.
I've already shelled out $$ for the product!
It's beyond annoying that this video is monetized and I'm being hit with commercials over and over while trying to put together my greenhouse!
Other than that. Good stuff.
I plan to put this on an existing concrete pad. Can I build it directly onto the ground without making an additional foundation? Should it be anchored to the concrete?
This is up to your own discretion. No Anchoring is included although we do always recommend it.
How many screws to secure walls to base? The drawing page 47 doesn't make it clear which of the dots are screws.
This would be up to your discretion as we do not include this hardware to secure to the base of your choice.
What foundation or base do you recommend for this greenhouse? Thanks!
The instructions call for a 92” by 75 1/2” concrete base. I am using a treated timber base using 4x6 Timbers. I used 94” x 77 1/2” base dimensions. This will provide an additional one inch on all sides which should help with alignment issues. Hope this helps.
@@JT-by8tz thanks! I ended up using a gravel foundation with 4x4s for the base, and it ended up working well since I installed a misting system so whatever water excess that I end up with it gets drained by the gravel.
I installed a stone wall perimeter for leveling and packed gravel. Works great, easy to secure greenhouse and offer great drainage.
I used a tamped limestone base with a 4x4s foundation on top of that to sit the greenhouse on. The 4x4s are a perfect fit.
How much snow does it hold? What is for the basic?
The Structure has been tested with 36 pounds per square foot of roof loading.**Because snow can be heavier or lighter depending on the amount of humidity in the air, rain that has fallen afterwards turning snow into ice, etc., we are recommending that any “Accumulated snow must be removed from roof” in the instruction manual (on page 2 under Important Safety Notice!)
What if it rains and it’s warm weather? Can you close the window in the roof yourself?
This is a temperature regulated window opener.
What is the “closed” position of the cylinder?

Any idea the amount of gravel needed for the base of this green house?
That would be up to your discretion, as long as it is a level surface to build Greenhouse on.
@@YardistryStructures THANK YOU
is this the same greenhouse as the Aoodor?
This is the Yardistry Greenhouse
Do we put silicone in the pivot joints of the continuous hinge?
The directions say to do so but the video doesn’t address it.
Ahhhh!!! Why not address this?
It seems odd to put silicone in a hinge.
Hopefully someone knows what I’m talking about
Yes please follow the instructions and apply silicone caulking on the top of the
Continuous Hinge so the silicone completely
covers the pivot joints.
Door warped. Top vent warped won’t open.

Ive called Costcos in 4 different states and cant find one anywhere :(
I got mine in Avon, IN
Costco has them on line now.
Which state are you in?
@@danjankowski3762 Sadly for $400 more but still. This looks super nice.
I called daily for a month to check on restock. They go so quick!
We had a lot of trouble getting the roof panels right. The 2 spacers given were horrible. They were warped and cracked in half. There should be more than 2. As soon as we would tighten one side, the other side would be off bc there wasn’t a spacer. It has just been a wry frustrating build.
Please reach out to Yardistry Customer Experience 1-888-509-4382 to assist with replacement parts if needed.
Clamps are important to achieving accurate angles and measurements. No instructions on final bracing to a foundation? No instructions on the corner brackets which are mounted throughout panel zones. Was this an after thought?
We are building ours now. The detailed instruction manual describes where and when to install the corner braces. This video just covers some key steps - it is not a replacement for using the installation manual.
“Make sure each roof rafter overhangs the left and right post by inch and a half”… as they show you the people measuring it using a metric ruler at 4cm!!! 😂😂 come on yardistry, at least try to pretend like you’re being accurate with the narration & images. Like you couldn’t have used an imperial tape measure. This is a US product is it not, where the hell do u even buy metric tape measures in the US. Don’t say inches in narration if you’re gonna show a metric tape
