Headcanon: Bowser suddenly appearing at the end was an early attempt of his to travel back in time for his plan to capture the seven Star Children in Yoshi's Island DS.
That makes sense considering Mario's appearance at the end.

World 1-4: Throw an egg onto one of the 3 buckets to drop a bomb on Kamek 3 times.
World 2-4: Shoot Kamek onto the celling 3 times with multi-colored columns.
World 3-4: Pop balloons with eggs and drop 3 bombs on Kamek.
World 4-4: Spin the spike flip platforms to attack Kamek 3 times by hitting the exclamation mark blocks.
World 5-4: Throw an egg onto the correct arrow path to hit Kamek 3 times.
World 6-4: Throw eggs onto the stone blocks to break them and drop Kamek onto a waterfall 3 times.

As surprising as Bowser "Traveling Threw Time" just to stop his past self from getting rekt, at the end of the game, was Mario that moving pipe all along? Did he also find a way to travel too? And most of all, how come he didn't HELP Yoshi, and how come he was hiding in that pipe?

If Mario had shown himself to Yoshi and the younger version of himself, it would have caused too much confusion to the two characters, leaving Mario to waste time trying to explain this event. Another reason is paradoxes. Whatever happens in the past will soon effect the future. That would mean that if Mario were to appear in front of Yoshi and baby Mario, it could really screw up his future. Who knows, Yoshi could have freaked out and left Mario forever, or Mario could've had a confusing memory where, as his younger self, he remembered seeing the older version of himself. Heck, it could've even prevented his future from happening!
When I just found out that Bowser (who was from the future) was in this game, I was really surprised 😮

Half of these bosses are just Kamek, and even though his boss fights offer a little bit of creativity, it all boils down to hitting the boss three times.
There aren't any bosses that you have to defeat by squashing them into smaller enemies and then clearing the screen. There aren't any bosses that you have to push off of a cliff as it tries to stop you. There aren't any bosses that eat you and you have to beat them from the inside. They're all 3 hit wonders, following the generic Mario format that Nintendo has been sticking with for way too long.
Also, the music is lackluster compared to the original.

Sincerely, this game I liked from the beginning, continuing with the ending of my childhood. This time only Mario and not have to change baby annoyingly. What disappointed me a little is that there were not so many bosses, being that Kamek repeated himself in each mid castle. But the final good one disappointment ... I knew that it was again giant Baby Bowser, but nothing made any sense, neither the vortex, nor the platforms that went up and down without doing anything really, nor the trips in the time of Bowser. ..

The goal of the bosses was not to be difficult, just to prevent you from getting a score of 100. That is something that the developers of this game did not understand.

Why does Big Beanie’s fight seem to have had more effort put into it compared to the rest of the bosses?
It’s the only boss that seems to fight outside of the castle, and it’s quite disappointing, they should’ve make at least one more world.
It’s like they just gave up midway through development.

Yes this is the weakest in all 4 of the Yoshi platformers. Yes the person who decided to use a kazoo as the main instrument should be demoted to toilet scrubber. And YES, The final boss is complete GARBAGE! But just becasue of these flaws, it doesn't mean you have to despise the game. At its core, its more Yoshis island! One of the most beloved platformers of all time! And even if you don't like this one, you still have Wooly World, Ds, and the fantastic original to fall back on!
