I didn't see one horse fail. Saw a lot of people fails. If your horse jumps over a fence to get away from you, you may want to stop and do some self evaluation instead of having a temper tantrum.
Friendly reminder that if a horse rears while you are riding it, please try to move with the horse! You can do this by: Standing up in your stirrups Lightly holding onto their mane Please don't hold on to the reins or yank of them for balence as it could cause the horse to flip ❤️ Edit: And also if your horse spooks or if you fall off, DO NOT HOLD ON TO THE REINS!!! Unless you are not in an enclosed space or where your horse would not get lost, don't try to hang onto the reins or it will hurt the horses mouth and it could spook them and make them freak out even more Remember horses are Fight or Flight animals They _will_ run if they have to
While I hope that none of the riders were seriously injured, some of them need better basic training on their seating before trying jumps. And most of the horses need saddle checks to check for pinching or pressure, and need their backs and stomachs checked. If a horse tries desperately to get rid of the weight on its back, it's mostly pain, not malicious intent.
i’m not saying the horses were bad, but not all of it is the riders fault. some horses refused the jump and the rider went over the horses head, or the horse was bucking and or bolting and the rider was trying to stay on. i’m also not saying that it’s all the horses fault, some were from the rider too.
@@vivianolivo6604 most of the ones when the horse refused they wernt set up well (striding, straightness, rider position, using the right muscles, etc, etc) which all comes down the the rider not necessarily that they did a bad job it just means they need to work on something with there horse and everyone has something to work on, Often when horses buck it’s a pain related/boredom/confusion or a learned habit and a lot of these would be pain related as most of these saddles didn’t fit which would make pressure points/sit behind T18
Oh the good old days, I met the Barn up and personal I have more flying lessons than any seasoned pilot. And the aches and pains to prove it,a chiropractors dream😂
In 70 yeats work as educated equastrian I saw 99,9 % badly riders, breeders, coachmen, farmers and wonnabe trainers as horses as well. Bad or dangerous horses are extemly rare. Mostly humans are guilty for this.
Their is bad horses I've rode one and it bucked like crazy my really really experienced trainer even had the horse almost rear with her their are some bad horses.
I’ve encountered a couple of bad horses though I’ll concede that one of them turned out to have a brain tumor. The other was a TB that was absolutely spoiled rotten as a foal since his mother died from foaling complications & he had to be hand raised because they couldn’t get a nurse mare. He was incorrigible & didn’t settle into any career. Didn’t want to race so they tried him as a hunter/jumper but he’d run full speed toward the fence then slam on the brakes so the riders would go over his head & into the fence. They finally sold him to a rancher in AZ who was hoping to train him to work cattle. Don’t know if that worked out.
Its instincts to hold on to the horse if you are about to fall of, i been riding for 11 years i still hold on to my horse mostly because she will stop when she can fell when im on her neck
If a horse want you off their back, they will do whatever tickles their fancy to get you off. And by the looks of it, there are as many ways to do that as there are horses. 😂
There's no fancy to tickle in any of these videos. There's always a reason a rider gets dumped and it's not because the horse decides to get the rider off.
A friend of mine got bucked off a few weeks ago and her back and hips were one huge black and blue bruise and she's lost a lot of confidence. You don't bounce back that easily after being slammed into the ground, particularly if you're older.
True. And most of these horses should be turned out more. Horses do nit stop for no reason. Aside from their natural spookiness, horses are never " bad" unless taught to be so. Every ride is a training ride, right?
2:242:45 here are the three moments where I laughed the most: 2:24 at 2:45 = the pony became a top 🌀😵💫/ 2:59 at 3:05 = the girl not understanding what has just happened and rejecting all hope of finding the horse one day…🤷♂️. / 4:09 at 4:14 = poor little baby ….. 😢 / 4:32 at 4:52 = this rider has a lot more attitude than me on horseback (he had to do a lot of getting into the saddle....)😅😅
Please, people, think about the horse. These horses are throwing their riders on purpose. They want that human OFF their back. This can be for many reasons......first and foremost is pain. Often their backs hurt. Always, with a metal bit, their mouth is hurt. Spurs hurt. These riders are using spurs and bits and most carry whips and how many have had their horse's backs, legs, and all other body parts checked? Another reason is the horse is rebelling after being forced to do something he does not want to do. My horses, when loose grazing in the pasture and they see me approach with my riding halter, run to me, hoping to be chosen as the one I ride. But this, this arena stuff, repetition, bits and spurs, is not fun for a horse. Sadly, they have learned they have to do it or humans will hurt them. There is NO such thing as a horse fail! ALL the failures are due to humans.
I dont see horse fails, i see people/rider fails. And i hardly seen any of these horses actually care about their rider and vice versa. If a horse is approaching a jump not acting right, don't push it. Those horses were telling these people something wasnt right
If you fall let go of the reins cause if you keep pulling you’re gonna hurt their mouth. My lesson pony now has to be ridden in a hackamore because someone fell of her and now she spooks whenever you get a bit near her mouth😢❤
A lot of the horses seemed to start bucking because the reins were pulled too tight, it’s weird that none of the riders seemed to care enough to loosen them ://
They could be, but unless you know the horse/rider and have all the details, it’s impossible to say. There are a million reasons horses act the way they do

Some of these falls were so avoidable. Buuuttt… You have to fall to learn to stay on! 🤷🏻♀️ The nature of the beast! I probably fell 100 times in my 35 years of riding before I was able to get a 13 year “no fall” streak under my belt. She just stopped immediately *after* the jump. Put her head to the ground -she knew the move- and as I slid down her neck bc of the momentum from the jump I thought, “You’ll save it. You don’t fall. Uh, save it… You don’t fall. I’m falling. I’m falling off!” I then decided that instead of just plopping on the ground I’d swing my body over and land on my feet. Problem was that I was already most of the way down her neck, so I was a foot or two off the ground. I swung my body over and BOOM! Slammed onto my back! I jumped right up and laughed in disbelief, “She got me! I fell off!” I put my foot in the stirrup and got back on. I kept my stirrups for the second go! Unfortunately for me I was a trainer at the time, so the fall happened in front of a full arena. My ego was bruised the most, but everyone falls. The best and the worst of us fall! It was a humbling experience and it reminded me that a little adjustment may be the difference between staying on and falling off!) Wow, that turned into story time! 😂
