One thing about Joon, he doesn't half ass anything. This exceeded my expectations. IT IS BREATHTAKING. He clearly has given this album so much of himself. So much care. A lyrical genius and an amazing man.
I loved Jack n the Box and Astronaut but somehow I knew Indigo was gonna be so very especially ICONIC and it is! Our Leader did it for sure OT7 💜 x7

RM is the poet who kills me softly with his words. And Youjeen's vocals are a raw and powerful complement to RM's flow and message.

Can we talk about Youjeen's voice?? Like the song overall is amazing but her powerful vocals add so much emotion like I feel chills while listening to the chorus.

He's truly a poet. In order to sing these lyrics he probably cried a lot. These are emotional words. No telling how long he dwelled on the lyrics in order to sing them and record this video. I'm spent. Still crying. All his rapping and lyrics brought him this far and now even his own country which he has lifted up across the world and given himself to causes... have pressed BTS with the entitlement from the old SK regime. There is an empty feeling I'm sure of being spent, fried. He's tired of them telling him what he can and can't do... as he is growing up. The man has literally led BTS to success. I love the man.

I just listened to the entire album and wow, now I need to listen to it again with the lyrics. And Wild Flower made me cry and Lonely was probably my favorite. I'm so proud of RM and Indigo is a masterpiece.

If u listen to RM album its not kind of kpop artist album...his whole album i listen is very westerner esp those beat and sounds and feelings ,, I like his album my fave are Forg_tful, closer, lonely, hectic, wildflower, No.2 .. This are my taste love to listen while driving.

He put his heart and soul into it. He started writing some of the songs in 2016. If you want to understand more about how and why he wrote those songs with those meanings, he did a video describing each song and why he chose each artist to collab with. If it wasn't for that, I wouldn't have understood this song as much.
I'm just proud of how they are gradually showing us their true selves. And I'm here for it.

I'm still in tears, I listened to Mono, and the Indigo after each other and as someone in their early 20's finding BTS in October 2021, and becoming Army..then really diving into KPOP soon after, might I say I LOVE IT HERE. Already so many songs in my playlist, 286 to be exact lol still a long way to go, but Mono and Indigo will be here to help me transition through my 20's easier. Very emotional, humane, artistic, sorrowful, and beautiful work. I'll be here when they get back, and I hope Army has a great night lol. Tears for days over here. Proud to be gang. Like one of the BTS members said "Don't feel bad for not being with us in the beginning, the moment you found us was the moment we debuted for you". I'll always kept that quote close to my heart. 💜
Yes 1000%, I'm 25 and words can't even express how relevant their music and their messaging has been in my life the past couple years since I found them. They have such a unique ability to discuss the seemingly simple "small" things we all face at some point in our lives, and it really makes you feel understood on a deep level. I'll always appreciate their honesty and vulnerability in their music. It has definitely helped me in figuring out who I am and who I want to be. Mono really helped me sit with my depression and held my hand, and Indigo is giving me a sense of healing and release. They are truly special in this world, and I'm so glad we have them and army 💜🫂

RM is a poet that knows how to touch your very soul. He made me feel his pain, his sense of losing himself, I just want to give him a hug. The music and youjeen, the visuals and the contrasting throughout...just amazing.
Putting this in context with comments from the past couple of years, I remember RM saying that once the Dynamite/English songs era started, he felt like he was forgetting what he was, what BTS was -- they weren't being true to themselves, even as it propelled them to the absolute greatest world fame of any group pretty much ever...that sense of loss and nothingness struck me so hard at the time and I can so easily imagine him finally being able to breathe again, connect with nature again, and *start* to figure out who he is now and what he wants...the lines "I'm barely anything","I can't go to the stars again, I can't", "I be gone" make me sad though because of course we don't want him to suffer as he goes on that journey of discovery, before he returns...

I don’t think they’ve ever said they didn’t feel that they were being true to themselves, more like that kind of sudden worldwide fame makes you not understand yourself anymore. You are still one small person in the world but your life has become oversized. It’s enough for an existential crisis. The hard time Namjoon was experiencing that he writes about here you can see starting on MOTS and then was made exponentially worse by the pandemic and how much they lost by not being able to perform. That was a big part of their identity that was keeping them from going insane through all the fame, and then it was taken away. It was never that they felt like they sold themselves out or weren’t being true to themselves

This song broke my heart in a million pieces with its beauty. I think that once he's done with his promotion plans he'll be enlisting too, and that's what that one lyric made me feel.
I felt this same emotion. My heart is overwhelmed and broken and the same time with the beauty and the sadness I get from it.
Yeah, this song... If there was one word I could put to how it feels, it would be bittersweet. There is so much raw emotion in this, the song, the lyrics, the video. It just, hits a certain part of my soul that wants to cry.
Specifically, the "No shame, I'm on my grave" and "when your own heart underestimates you" and "when your dreams devour you" lyrics gave me chills.
What you were talking about with the flowers makes a lot of sense too. It's like seeing beauty turn into pain. Like, this song just feels painful in a way I can't fully explain.
I feel the same. It strikes an emotional chord that is hard to explain. Somewhere between melancholy, healing, and heartache. The way he uses simple terms and concepts to explain a complex idea has always blown my mind. He's a true poet before anything else.
OMG...I am in tears. This song has such long range eras taking us from the Rap Monster in his youth, RM in his growth, and To Nam-joon in his maturity. All these phases leads to the man he is now. This song put me to tears. He is expressing how he truly feels. Theres a down side of being as famous as he is and alot of pressure. Didn’t expect namjoon to say what he said. Its heartbreaking. As an army i wish all the members happiness . Slowly we will get to see who bts really is. None the less. This song is so meaningful and raw. The visuals are beautiful

I listened to the song on spotify first while driving to uni. I cried. I didn't understand what he was singing about, but I cried. It was just so overwhelmingly beautiful. When I came home I watched the MV with subtitles and I cried even harder. RM portrays the thoughts and feelings of so many people in this song alone and I'm so proud of him to tell his story and how he felt inside over the last few years.
I think Namjoon is truly showing us his heart and how the road to success has affected him. Beautiful song. Beautiful video. Well done Namjoon.💜

Thank you for your thoughts and reactions! 💜 In 2021’s Amazon Music interview, RM said at 24:10, that BTS is in the eye of the hurricane so it’s kind of hard to tell the extent of their impact or popularity. Maybe in time, when the storm passes and the dust settles will we know the full effect. I’m happy that he and the members can slowly reveal, in their own way, the different sides to themselves and all that they’ve learned and how they’ve grown over the years!
This is easily one of the best songs I’ve heard this year. And it gets better every time I hear it.

As I listened to this song and watched the video, what came to my mind was how sometimes a field has to burn down to return healthy and even more beautiful. He’s been very honest about the struggles but has also made it a point that he, all the members, will be back.
It's a song that strikes deep, I know it hit me in the same way. He's lived a life in his 20s that many will never relate to or have the opportunity to experience yet everything he has to say resonates so universally. He's genuinely a very very special person. If I can make one recommendation per your decision on tiny desk (and I know everyone enjoys music in their own way), Namjoon mentioned he hoped fans could listen through the album as is, in order, for the full experience. As a longtime army, it's one of my most memorable full album sit throughs I've ever experienced. I'm sure you're eager to get to tiny desk, I just wanted to offer my experienceThe beginning of the video and when youjeen sings the hook reminds me of RM and Jimin on American Hustle Life watching the fireworks and being in amazement of them. It brings a warm and fuzzy feeling to me. I love this album and it has a really good vibe where you can listen and reflect on your own life or just chill and enjoy the eclectic group of songs on the album. EDIT: . I really love Indigo, it's one of the best album of the year. I love the fact that RM seems free, emotional and dark, but wise and peaceful at the same time. He is truly a great artist, an amazing poet and rapper (and singer too).

He internalizes the song with the meaning of the lyrics. Basically he went deeper inside himself into the darkness and pulled out every emotion he's been feeling over the years in the industry. Like he says "I have no name..." So basically he doesn't know who he really is because he's been in the industry so long his name is just a brand name. He wants to pull off the mask and show who he really is. But can't because he's still trying to find out who he is. "I will come back.." Means that when he comes back he will be more happy because he found his true self and will be able to share with the world who he really is. Flowers blossom but when they die the wind comes and scatters the seeds so more will grow. That's how "flowers work flowerworks".
Among 3 of them as rappers always RM is my fave,, I love not just his song writing the lyrical but also his vocal , more to sing of him is what I like and also the way he rap is not just a fliptop rap but he put an emotion and sometimes the way he rap is sounds like his singing the flow of his rap add the emotion of its meaning....
