Well, this was very nice. I enjoyed my (mid) morning coffee and oats while listening to you. It was just like having a nice breakfast with a friend in a very nice garden. (Medical stuff and eating oats don't mix, but that's a matter of taste, I suppose :-) ) You radiate joy and enthusiasm about what you're talking about. More Dark Circus please!

I VERY much hope you can do a video of your spooky department on campus at some point. I'm so excited that you're still thinking about it!
There was a museum a few hours from where I live located in Whites City (in the Carlsbad area of NM) that would have been 1,000% up your alley, as it was mine. It's gone now and was a total tourist trap, but it was called The Million Dollar Museum and there was no rhyme or reason to it other than it had a collection of the weirdest, oldest, most random curiosities and objects you can imagine. Everything from an intact Model-T to a ball gown from the mid-1800's to wet specimens of two-headed turtles to the mummy of a (possibly Navajo or Acoma) Native American. It was bizarre but it stands as the best museum I ever went to (re: and I've been to the Smithsonian amongst many others) just because it was such a weird and humble catch-all of everything that makes my black little heart happy.
It's pretty great that you've done photography. Manual or digital (or both)? Photography was my focus along with illustration for my art degree. I loved black and white manual the best but graduated a while before digital really took off. I could probably still set up and break down a photo lab, if I wanted. While it's hot and sunny, I've been busy at work doing cyanotyping this summer along with using this product called Inkodye which works the exact same as cyanotype (only it's in other colors besides blue when UV activated). It's been 20+ years since I graduated but the photo bug never leaves!

I've had a wonderful time visiting with you in the back yard. I loved the birdsong in the background. My last few classes at college I always sat on the front row. I was very engaged with the material being presented by the professor. I always got straight A's. I'm also interested in herbalism and natural medicine. What an amazing place to work if one is into oddities and curiosities as many darkly inclined people are. I don't have any tattoos either. As a teen and in my early 20s I played with temporary tattoos. I've always wanted to try henna on my hands but have never found an artist to draw the beautiful and delicate designs that I desire. I'd love a part two if you are so inclined to make another video like this one. Thank you so much.

Sharon- You'd do really well in my lectures. A++. I was fearful that visiting my backyard would be something that no one would want to see, I was wrong. Several comments so far proved me wrong. I will do more out-and-about videos in the future. Herbalism- fun huh? Love them. friend of mine removed all her grass and planted a full front yard of herbs- she proclaimed " Now I can eat my front yard"! - I will look at making part two, but in another location, I am back home again. Good to hear from you!

Louisaustinallen- I had spent some time on Soundcloud listening to your music. That's what professors do, we investigate. I wanted to share some things with you the first thing is my dad's name is also Louis spelled exactly like yours. Secondly in your catalog of songs my favorite one was 'I met you in a dream', and the reason is that the lyrics were very meaningful. Your song 'Into the Fire' your voice is very Bowie-esqe. And I love David Bowie. I listen to 'The Alchemist' also, and your latest one 'Latina Vampira' the lyrics 'slide your tongue so you can taste'- caught my attention. I wanted to share that since we are similar ages, I envy you for getting behind a microphone and singing. I envy all singers. I want you to scroll down to one of my videos it's called the Elder goth makeup tutorial, it's when you put on the face and as I say, it's like coming home. its here: czcams.com/video/vj34Q6iQmmQ/video.html

Thank you for the inspiration even if it was the first video. I was once told, the smallest question can lead to the very ends of the universe to find an answer, meaning your video ripped to create a new one. Also, the response on this one, was positive enough to ensure I will make another just relaxed 'talk' non- lecture style video again. EMT! We have that dept. at our university! My best kids are EMTs! They are sharp and focused. When I just started working there the EMT dept had a hallway of those plastic bodies/torsos with the eyes closed-- and I had to walk through that hallway at night with a flashlight-- ohhhhh my Goth, in daylight ok, at night the dept became like something other-worldly. Good to hear from you Gellybean- more to come! Thank you again^^

Thank you so much for your content. I just found your channel a few weeks ago and I'm going through your videos, I'm enjoying your content a lot. I wanted to tell you how much influence you had on me so far. I have always liked the goth aesthetic, music, literature and movies. I wore black all my life but I never went forward with dressing in a more gothic way. A way that I really liked. But you professor, in your 50's, looking that good? and lifting too? Heck yeah! So, I'm going to get my wardrobe to be what I like in my heart of hearts, regardless of others opinions. I started with some rings that I really like, steel and silver, that alone made my black clothing look way more gothic. Now I'm fully leaning into it, I like the military/corp goth mood, so I'm moving in that direction. Leather and wool, suits and boots. Please keep publishing about everything and anything. And maybe some more about your bodybuilding too? Stay buff, stay dark!

Vinccenzzo- I realized I got double messages from you- delightful. 50s yes, bodybuilder, yes, and I will say to you- indulge and go out and really really enjoy the military corp look- because enjoying yourself, and finding the freedom to feel good and just forget what others think about it- you enjoy you. You go and build the wardrobe of your dreams. Slowly, it takes time- it took me 20 years to amass what I have. But that slow collecting, makes you love each piece. I would like to share more about my bodybuilder world too who knows what new videos I can make of that--- Welcome to the channel brother!

Like when I put up one of the greenhouses a few years ago I found 2 pieces of the cauldron people used here for cooking when they still cooked over open fire with no stove. Ie the kind of cauldron that have 3 legs. ( Note greenhouses in pluralis... yes I am a garden nutt. )
