I’ve never played any of these games but they definitely seem very interesting
If you have an Xbox you can play them all with the Xbox Game Pass.
Gears 1 Remake, Gears 4 and Gears 5 are also available on PC, and you can use the PC Game Pass for them.
If you like FPS games with chainsaws and occasional giant monsters, then you will like the Gears of War series.
Please do some Crisis lore and morphology like the nano suits or the ceph (obviously)
I asked him if he could do that months ago he says that he is working on it so be patient I guess
Firelord 0 now I wonder if the leeches could affect the nanosuit but then again probably not.
An excellent choice for lore and morphology. A race so technologically advanced that the only thing they don't know and can't create is the evolution of life on other planets. Which is why they would hibernate over millions of years to record their findings, and go so far as to alter and experiment their very bodies to adapt to it.
For me, the first Crysis had the coolest aliens in terms of mechanics. They were so vastly different in movement/tactics from humans that they stood out to me as very unique and terrifying to fight. The Core mission is still impressive by how unnerving and difficult it is to navigate a zero-G environment with no waypoint and nothing but your wits to fall back on. The game forces you to improvise fighting Ceph in their natural environment, which was an excellent twist to put a super-soldier to the test. While the Ceph may have adapted to earth-like fighting and tactics in the latter games, I wish there were moments where the player was put in such a challenging position again.
I guess that explains why Del says "Leeches" like he's seen them before and why no one freaks out about them.
Because that was months after we first saw them; they're more established in the COG as a specific Swarm variant.
"Maybe the light mass bomb hit them harder than we thought, or maybe something else is going down in the hollow. I don't know."
- Marcus Fenix
Being half way through Gears 5, I can confidently say that you steered clear of ALL stpry spoilers aside from the Flocks reveal, and I appreciate you for that.
I'm trying to remember but I think the shark fish mentioned in the video are called "remoras"
AnimeShinigami13 yes, also they don't stick *around* the shark, a lot of them time they stick *to* the shark with a suction pad on their head and back
Remora are actually classed as sharks themselves but he great thing is they clean the shark and the shark is clean and happy boi
Hey Roanoke, what if you tried to do some videos on the Zerg from the StarCraft series. I think you would have a blast with it.
@@vBurnedWins They get us all scaroused. Just look at Queen of Blades Kerrigan!
@@RoyalStarlord Not to mention Abathur, Stukov, or any of the others, the Zerg is just terrifying, and that's why I love them... and because of their ability to infest and take things.
@@Lakthul Imagine them getting their claws on the telepathic pitcher plant in Star Trek: Voyager! D:
Should work although he's going to require some accompanying book material. this one has a novel called Gears of War ascendance
If you look towards the end of GOW 4, a Pouncer throws needles at a Shepard and it attacks JD. Maybe it's something that some more intelligent members of the Swarm innately have but just don't get a chance to do it.
I cant believe you spoiled how Leeches work for me after I veat the game. I was looking forward to the Leech DLC that would explain it all.
Could that mean that a faraday cage armour would effectively make you invisible against the Heart Leech Flock? Also, could they pick up brain activity? I don't know how much electricity goes in the brain vs the heart.
That’s an interesting idea. I don’t know enough about stuff like that to say if it would work or not, but that certainly seems like a logical conclusion doesn’t it?
Niiiice! Honestly, at this point, the idea of a purely biological alien swarm overrunning things and infesting them may be a tad over used, but I *ALWAYS* love it!
Same. Besides the context makes sense considering the Scions need to rebuild their numbers
@@GameTavern2224 Yeah, and one of my favourite examples of an entirely biology based alien swarm is the Zerg.
Another great video, man
Ayyyyy thanks man! This gears feels like a return to the originals and I love it as well!
Still interested to see a swarm corpser or swarm Theron guard
Professor Games pretty sure that hive guardian at the end of gears 4 was a corpser, check out its legs, they look just like a corpsers’ outer ones
@@ericslaughter7178 im not sure it would've mutated that much though. Brumaks are for the most part covered in crystals but still look the same
Professor Games true but we did see a change in size with the drones as well when they became scions and the pouncers eventually grow into snatchers I just see enough similarities in the hive guardian that it might not be too far fetched for it to have been a corpser previously
when you see the leaches your heart will start to pump faster so they would be abel to find you easier
Great video! Do you think you could do a video explaining the Swarm about their morphology and evolution from their origin of the Locust?
You mean the Scions? Because the rest of the Swarm's connection to the Locust is dubious at best.
Wow brow dedication! Games only been out what a week or so and you have content for us already! Thanks.
You know, I thought gears 5 was gunna be terrible but after playing a bit of it it’s actually pretty awesome!
Professor Games I only doubted it because gears 4 was only good for multiplayer
Professor Games the start I liked a lot, where it goes into the past and explains the war, that was really good
@@imn0tacannibal734 it made me really wanna play a gears game around the pendulum wars. Pluse i really liked all the new stuff going on in sera after the war
Is it weird that i just finished watching all his Gears of War 3 videos in a playlist and this was just put up?
Brilliant stuff as always 👍
Really enjoyed this, you should do more gears lore especially the Swarm
Been here since 13 subs, believe it or not, glad to see you come a long way. ❤️ 1 day you’ll have 1 million subs.
It's also shown in Gears 4 that the Pouncer quills are able to corrupt electronic systems. Like Jinn's robot she uses to communicate with on the field without having to leave New Ephyra. And I always thought it was bio-electric thing that a lot of Swarm seem to be capable of doing. The ones that aren't Drones and Juvies anyway
I kinda forgot about that capability of the pouncers.. I don't think Gears 5 really revisited that
Y e s I’ve been waiting for some gears content from you 🥰
Great video
Thank you for another dope video ro ive been curious about the leeches for a while
My buddy and I JUST fought the flock at New Hope I’m Insane. Your timely ness is on point, Ro
Awesome I was hopeing you would do more Gears of war lore! Gears 5 is a really epic game, Super excited to see more!
oh yes more gears stuff , love your videos
Roanoke I got dying light because of this channel and I'm having a blast
Glad yall thought so highly of the videos to get the games! You wont be disappointed!
@@neme9906 oh I have that entire trilogy I seriously can't get enough of it. Dead Space 2 is my favorite game of all time
@@RoanokeGaming I binge your videos all the time you post. There's nothing I enjoy more than a scientific breakdown of creatures that hunt my nightmares
Someone please like this so that Roanoke would make one for the Lost planets Akrids XD
Amazing and informative
This is the type of content I expected to be released within 2-3 years of the game itself already out, seeing this type of content out so early makes me so happy. Thank you.
not that It's not normal but people like you care enough to dive in and do research so early and I really appreciate content like this
Yes Iv been waiting for this lmao I seen these and thought wonder how long it would take for you to do a video. Haha 👍🏻
Yes!
Pls do more video's on Gears 5
I don't see how all of these creatures could have existed before the swarm when they all have such similar (to each other) and different (from the old locust used creatures) features.
oH mY GoSh tHE sPoILeRS!!! Great video though. Love these types of videos. Especially on how you scientifically explain in detail about the necromorphs
I'm nit going to watch the video since i don't want any spoilers, but i'm here so i can give you one more view and like. Keep up the great work Roa,cheers from Brazil !
@Roanoke Gaming if you do the Lore and Morphology of The Swarm Pouncer please Say Swarm Doggo.
The leeches are pretty intense. Great explaination on how the leeches could grow in number. By the way, there aren't too many ads.
Great video I loved gears 5
Keep up the gears 5 stuff R-Gaming this is good,
I avoided this video until I finished Gears 5. I finished it a few days ago but have been busy playing Greedfall. Great video as always.
1:54 they need to fix the helmets I swear that's not a longshot
10:20 you’re like a wildlife explorer, in the face of danger you still analyze and observe
Hey Roanoke I've been subbed since 200 subscribers and I love your videos keep it up dude and can you do the morphology and biology of the leviathan in dead space
What happen a pure locust from Mt.kadar experiment meets the swarm hive?
Can you please go over the ecology and morphology of the different monsters in monster hunter world.
Only finished the game last night btw you should make a vid on more of the creatures of the hollow or more swarm
You did not fail to deliver when I asked if you were making a new video. Any plans to look at other newer items/return to old topics based on the new information? Would be interesting to get your take on the Kraken. Also have you played the multiplayer map Exhibit? I highly recommend it because I have a theory about the Kraken from there.
You should do more Lore videos on the swarm your gears of war videos are the most interesting 😉👍
Yaaaas new vid
In reality, they are just the red bird things from that movie "The Croods"
Thanks bro
Dude you should do a morphology video about ALL Lambent forms. Also continue with morphology of the Swarm, but leave a note in the title saying it’s a work in progress.
I don’t even know this game but I enjoy listening to his voice while drawing
Omg roanoke you spoiled EVERYTHING for me
Now we need the morphology and everything about the swarm about the swarm from resistance 2
This is gonna make me sound like a Weaboo, but you seem like you’d have the best idea about it on CZcams even though you’re focused on video games.
Could you do a video on what the hell Ghouls are physically and how they work from Tokyo Ghoul?
I'd love to see you do videos on the monster hunter series
person: * exists *
heart: *DinNer Is HErE*
I've probably said it before, but if not (and even if I did), you NEED to cover the Monsters of the *_Monster Hunter_* series. They're some of the coolest AND most biologically well thought-out creatures around, and I'd love to see you cover them. Each creature is essentially a video unto itself, and you'd have a field day covering the existing biological explanations.
Someone else has probably mentioned it but in gears 4 a needle from a pouncer Jack's jinns mech and makes it attack JD
I always wondered what happened to the Kryll :D now I know!
Fascinating, Yet *Terrifying!*
Thanks for the spoilers Roanoke!
If u can explain the origins of all the swarm I will sub cause I’m not readin a book to find out
You should analize all the locust races and how they would interact based on real life animals
The Locust are like regulation. You can push them down as much as you want, but they will come back up.
Roanoke badass
this is pretty cool and well thought out but i'd question the latter half about how they are taking over DB's. There is one scene in gears 4 where you see Jinn's robot hit by pouncer barbs and that seems to take it over too.
Do a video on the deadly weather. Please
After watching so many of your necromorph lore vids, I noticed there were some still missing. If possible, perhaps you may want to do one on the Urchin and the Spider. Of all those lore vids, I don't think I've seen any from the Dead Space Extraction game....
The flock of leeches reminds me of how to machines swarm together in the Matrix trilogy.
Please make a Video on the mutants of S.T.A.L.K.E.R
My favorite swarm creature the leech
Didnt know you made a video about highschoolers, dude!
6:30 wait, where did that video there come from? Its really interesting.
"Fluttering intensifies"
A more terrifying subtitle doesn't exist.
No one:
8:55 subtitles: *FLUTTERING INTENSIFIES*
hope to see a swarm corpser in gears 6
It's Curious that a lot of the Swarms specialist troops like the blow up like the pouncers, snatchers and leeches. Maybe a defense mechanism designed to prevent the C.O.G from dissecting them and learning how they tick.
Just found out that snatchers are adult pouncers..so I wonder how pouncers came to existence
Where did you get the footage of the scenes at 3:09 I don’t remember a mission during the final moments after Adam activated his machine that destroys imulsion
Reanon Should do a video on the Anatomy and Morphology of the Space Marines ( A.K.A Adeptus Astartes )
In gears 4 JD, Del, and Kait did talk about how the pouncer spikes made Jinns robot body attack basically the same concept I would guess
Hay love your stuff can you do some Warhammer 40k stuff
That DB part with them controlling it is ridiculous. There's no way it emits or can transfer enough electricity to overwhelm the mechs and even if it did there's no way it would understand how to control, move, target, or do anything to the robots but maybe overwhelm their circuitry for a few seconds or maybe overwhelming it entirely to disable it. Other than that it seems like a cool interesting enemy.
The Lightmass Missiles may have gotten many Kryll destroyed, even destroyed their breeding ground as said in Gears of War 2 First Collectible in Act 1 Tip of the Spear, Chapter 1 Welcome to Delta, when you select the Option do Training with Ben Carmine you will find the Very First Collectible of the game The Eagle Newspaper, it says on the last Article The bomb's most important effect was the elimination of Kryll breeding grounds, but they did not get them extinct, they only got them endangered because in Gears of War 2 when first revisiting the New Hollows in Act 2 You see some Kryll, and in Act 3, chapter 5 in that Cavern before fighting Locusts, gunboats, and even one of their Levithans, you'll see some Kryll there on the way to the Theron Guard you encounter, before you get on platform, and on a gunboat. But they do not Have enough Kyrll in their Pack to Attack Marcus and Dom, all they do is literally just fly away, I can show each of you video evidence of the Leftover Kryll cameos Appearances in Geard of War 2, not even the real sequel number to the 3 Prequels, GOW 1 Judgement, GOW 2 Tactics, and Raam's Shadow, Gears of War 2 is actually Gears of War 5, but anyway, some of the leftover Kryll in Jacinto's Underground Tunnels must have escaped the island of Jacinto before the City and The Hollow got the flood, afterwards they've continued hiding until Adam Fenix activated the Imulsion Contermeasure, It got every Lambent Killed, Locust default bodies Killed, but not their life sources, they only cleared the Locust of Lambent Parasitic cells out of them, Including any remaining Krylls, then you know the rest, Locust were reborn into Swarm started to Evolve, and including remaining, after 20 Or 25 Years of being a Crystalized Cocoon Coma that was making them evolve, they gotten Strong Carriers, Snatchers, quick shooting jumping Pouncers, tough Scions, Strong and Durable Hardened Swarm infected Brumaks called Swarmaks, and those new nemacysts that come out of the Carriers, and Reborn Kryll that are more Dangerous that can attack without needing Nemacysts to use ink to block out sun light, nor need to just strike at night time when IT'S PITCH BLACK. Get It? Because in Sci Fi Horror Movie PITCH BLACK Featuring Vin Diesel, the Flying Infant Bio Raptors And Big Bio Raptors attacked every 22 Years when Planet 6,117 own 3 Suns goes into a solar eclipse, and In Fact when the Creators made the First Gears of War Game, they got the designs of the Kryll from Pitch Black Bio Raptors Designs, so they mostly look like the flying Swarm of infant Bio Raptors, It's a Really Great Movie, anyway, so when the Kryll got Reborn Swarmified into New Flocks of Kryll, they must have became so evolved that they don't need a mating partner to reproduce, there are some animals in the World that can reproduce Without mating, so that's why New Swarmified Flock got so many Kryll, AR harder enemies, but on the bright side, now they're easier to kill kinda, don't just need Hammer of Dawn, and Lightmass Missiles, we can use any Ranged Weapons
Liking strictly for the ending threat 🤘
So happy to see gears 5 lore, pls do an update (SPOILERS) to the origins of the locust and the new hope research centers.
In addition to their amupullae of lorenzini, sharks also use other methods for locating things. They have an extremely sensitive lateral line along the top of their body, from tip to tip, that acts like an extended eardrum picking up small vibrations. They also have a fantastic sense of smell and can detect the smallest amount of blood in the water, even from a distance. Also, they have pretty good eyesight in most waters.
Also, whale sharks are the biggest gentle Giants, and they're pure filter feeders. Tiny fish, shrimp, and plankton. No shark eats it's pilot fish. They have a symbiotic relationship with each other, and are one of if not the oldest evolving creature on Earth. They don't eat their pilot fish.
Hey roanoke how have you been doing I loved the vid and i was wondering if seara was the only human home world what about earth? And ive got good news I've been accepted into a auto body repair class so yay.
Been well man! Glad to hear you got into that class! I dont know if earth is in that universe or not, seems they evolved to be like us but on a different world!
And also what about the brain it's got alot more electrical activity than the heart?
I ain't no Roa, but I think the reason they go for heart is because heart beats have kinda of easy, recognizable pattern. I figure if you hunt by electrolocation alone, there'll be tons of static and you do have to get good at identifying sure snacks and so.. maybe the heart's beat is just the most rewarding signal of electricity to go after?
Yeesss gears stuff
The planet of Sera is like Australia if it was a planet
Hello there

LOL
You mean burnt?
