The host unit at Eglin is the 96th Test Wing, the test and evaluation center for Air Force air-delivered weapons, navigation and guidance systems, Command and Control systems, and Air Force Special Operations Command systems. Eglin Air Force Base, along with Hurlburt Field, provides Okaloosa County with 78,757 jobs and has an economic impact of $9.388 billion dollars. The total statewide economic impact of Florida’s military installations totals $94.9 billion dollars!
