Just picked this up on a Fathers Day sale for $390 with tax and shipping. Crazy deal. Hell of a pistol. Excited about it. All my other carries are 9mm, happy to add a .45 to the rotation.
That’s a good deal ! Did you get the gear up package with 6 mags ? Also do you shoot better with .45 or 9mm ?
@@coloradoguns umm no it wasn’t the gear up package no. I think it was the gun, and only two mags. It’s still in the mail so I’m not sure yet. And the deal was so good I just bought it without reading the details 😂. Oops. As far as shooting one better over the other, I’d say I have more practice with 9 (since it’s way way cheaper to shoot) then I do with .45. 9mm has way less recoil so a bit easier to shoot but I love both rounds.
@@coloradoguns - do you use underwood ammo? If so what grain with this gun? Thanks
@@M1Ascoutsquad45 I’m leaning towards buffalo bore +P however I did see some underwood +P penetrators on buds guns shop. Do you have any recommendations?
This personal review was very good, as well as being genuine. I have a few 45ACP pistols, some are 1911s and one is a Ruger American which I like a lot. This was my 1st Springfield pistol purchase, and I agree with your comments and conclusions. Since I reload for this caliber, including two different Lehigh bullets, your content regarding the use of premium ammunition is interesting. Please consider follow up videos about your experience with the 45ACP Elite Compact. P.S. There are quite a few so-called "internet expert firearm reviewers" whose videos you put to shame: good job!

I have the Springfield Armory XD-M Elite 3.8 osp in 9mm., mine came withe 5 magazines and I paid roughly $624.89I dollars for mine. I absolutely love this pistol, and use it as my EDC. It is my first Striker fire pistol. as I mostly shoot hammer fire (1911’s). The trigger is awesome. I have all three different optic plates, but I am running a Foxarmy in RMR footprint and have had no issues.

Got one but it's 10mm, great guns
I picked this one up for $435 with tax included today. Now im having a gunsmith to change out the trigger and tune the gun.

incredible. for a 45 it shoots like its suppressed. hard to miss target too. 500 rounds in no issues or jams. @@coloradoguns

Love it. I just picked mine up today. I got the 6 mags with mine. $469 +shipping, tax and transfer from Gunbroker. I have the big brother 10mm of this as well. Great shooter. Expect the same from the 45. Will you put a red dot on it. I will most likely go with a vortex venom or defender.
Great review, just bought mine from Buds yesterday, but i got the dragonfly red dot and not the extra mags....i needed a 45 other than my 1911 and i was either going with a PPQ, P320 or this and well, I chose this compact version....
Good choice! Try some Nosler 185 Grain JHP
540+ 40 for the transfer so 580$ plus six magazine, however it also takes 13rd magazines and even a 25 round extended magazine from promag

Well have u tried the echelon? I got that a few months ago. I am a Springfield fanboy lol. I got sig lights holsun red dots on all my guns.
I would say get u some talon grips
@@ernestholloway9436 I have not tried it yet but seen a lot of good videos about it. I’m looking into a full size handgun and was leaning towards the G19x. However if I see a echelon in a shop I definitely might grab it
