      But they do tho. Not in the literal sense obviously. But culture surrounding certain garments and tradition yea you can say certain garments were created for this gender or the other. People at gucci and Loui vuitton make clothes for men and for women. Meaning designed for a women to wear or a man to wear. That does not mean that a man cant choose to wear a garment initially made to attract the buying eye of a women consumer. If a man wants to wear that peice of clothing that is totally up to him and the makers of those clothes have no qualms over it. The reality of it though is that a designer had the vision of a women wearing that dress not a man. Today's dress makers aremt really making sundresses or ball gowns for men. Same way they arent making underpants women like they would make men. Let's say things for how they are we dont need to twist what's truth to push a progressive agenda. Clothes are made with gender in mind that is a fact. People can wear whatever they please as long as it covers them appropriately in public. If some people see it as weird and unmanly charachter for other men to wear a prom dress then that is completely normal and I'm ok with that. Now if they were to harass or harm him for wearing that then that's where I would have an issue.

    • @bigtherat
      @bigtherat Před 3 lety +11

      @@get_woke8518 But they don't though. That's also the entire point, that society determined that "this clothing garment is for women" just based on sexism. Men wore pants so they could carry all their tools because they were the workers while women wore pretty dresses as a trophy for the man. So by saying dresses are "for women", you are just upholding the roots of a sexist tradition for no reason other than "that's how it's always been". You are also arguing a false point. Nobody is saying clothing is made without gender in mind. In fact that's literally the problem, in that it shouldn't. Besides men and women needing different sizes due to body differences, there is literally no need for the design of clothing to be made for a specific gender. It's also some weird toxic masculinity as women dressing in clothing for men is not only accepted but often sexualized. It's nice we've at least come to a point in society where most people agree to not harass men who want to wear a dress. But that's quite a low bar, the fact that there are many people who would call them less of a man because of it show that there isn't true acceptance. It's like when people say "it's fine if you want to be gay, but I don't agree with it". You aren't actually accepting it you just aren't actively shaming people for it.

As a women in this society i’ve been fighting to change the paradigma of what femininity means and what the role of women in society is and how we as females Can change that for the better, but i’ve come to understand that as long as there is no conversation and willingness to work on whats negative about masculinity from the men in this society there is a limit for this change. I think is really good for such influential males to start and continue the conversation.

Second of all, he also said that if a man sat infront of him while wearing a dress, he WILL treat the man as a normal human being and he will NEVER hate on the guy. BUT, if the guy with the dress ask George "Isit manly for a man to wear a dress?" GEORGE CAN SAY WHATEVER OPINIONS HE WANTS! He can say it is not manly or wht ever! If he has his own opinions, it doesn't mean that he's against it. Yall attacking George without watching the whole thing. HE'S NOT AGAINST MEN WEARING DRESSES! Clothing and fashion do not change a mans personal characteristics, it expresses themselves on what they want to wear.
      2. No one is pushing other males to wear a dress, quite frankly it’s the opposite, this country restricts certain items because they aren’t “socially” correct, i thought America was the country of freedom but now it’s not the same if a man wears a dress. Your point and statement is invalid and next time, don’t make a statement on feelings, take the time to learn how cultural and fashion do not explain ones personal qualities instead of commenting some bullshit.

      @plantyyy Plant yes but a dress doesn't define "having periods, having a baby, or produce milk". Many women can't do that.... Would you stop them from wearing dresses because they don't go through these things too? Dresses and skirts weren't necessarily designed for women... Historically they were easy to move in during combat and made working easier, so many men would wear them. Dresses aren't feminine, it's just a social construct. And the topic of babies and periods had nothing to do with this.... It's an invalid argument because it isn't relevant
