It's not just father/son and best father's friend doing math, it's the classic family scene. So I don't know what to think at this point. On one hand, I would like Buddie to be a canon, on the other hand, it's an extremely slow burn, and probably it would be a little bit strange, considering the fact that we didn't get a hint for 6 seasons that Eddie or Buck might be bisexual. At least, I hope that writers wouldn't add some straight love interest for Eddie or Buck. They have a perfect family already, and even if Buddie wouldn't be a thing romantically, let it be a platonic perfect family without any female interference.
There is literally nothing sexually suggestive about this at all. Buck has a special friendship with Eddie's son and at this point he's like his uncle. The fans just like to play along but this is not queer baiting at all.
