The most fun you will have is on a scooter. Light means more fun and safer to handle. You never need to shift in a turn or will be in the wrong gear. Always smooth like a carnival ride. You won't impress anyone on the road but you will love it and that's what really counts.

Thats one of the biggest misconceptions people have when getting a motorcycle is thinking people care about what motorcycle your on, most people are probably bitching at us while we think we are cool. lol and the people that say bikes get you girls are fools women dont care about nothing but themselves. The only bike that got me compliments was my honda grom and people only did that because it was so tiny
Yeah most people could care less. Actually, a scooter could get you a girl. Some women think scooters are cute and may start talking to you. Many women see bikers as d-bags. lol However, the Ducati XDiavel S I owned got me a chick that said she would like to throw a leg over the back of my bike. She was hot too!

I only choose transport that is important to me and my needs, even if girls care or not I wouldnt care one bit either way lol.
My brother was a Harley rider for years but had to transition to a Super Scooter, the Suzuki Burgman 650, for medical reasons. That scoot can keep up with most motorcycles in most circumstances. The only negative about scoots for me are the small wheels. You just have to be a lot more mindful of road conditions on a scoot, because of the smaller wheels.
Too bad they don't sell the X-ADV 750 here, not only is fast but it has bigger wheels and can go off-road.
I've been riding since I was 8. I had a Honda elite 125 for a couple of months back in the 80s. That thing was fun to ride!
I started out on a 50cc genuine roughhouse scooter for getting to highschool and work. Now I have a bunch of vintage motorcycles that I restore, all from that scooter giving me the bug!
One huge plus about the scooter I don't think you mentioned is the practicality of storage with the seat container and floor board. Not to mention that registration and no M license or insurance (at least for 50cc in MA) makes it dirt cheap!

Ivan P. I started on a scooter because the guys at work had scooters. It was about not walking so much while on the base. I wasn't sure at the time if I was going to like it (scooters don't require riders to wear gear, but the military does) A lot of people don't realize it is a lifestyle to wear the gear and learn how to be a good rider. After 5 months I felt like getting a "real" bike. I bought a 950cc cruiser got my endorsement and never looked back. For a time I had both but I sold it, it still was my scooter experience what sparked the love for mototcycles. I also learned a lot in the first 6 months riding that scooter in Hawaii traffic. That scooter was modified, it could go 50 mph which is fast enough to mess you up if you crash.

I have both and it’s pure happiness whenever i ride em. When i’m in hooligan mode i use my mt09. When i like to chill and roam around the urban traffic i ride a 155cc scoot.

I have a big sport-touring bike that can break every speed limit in 2nd gear -- lot of fun, but wants to get you in trouble. A few months ago I picked up a used Honda PCX 150 scooter, and that thing is a ton of fun! I can wring it out and not get arrested! That little thing will do over 60 mph, and is a lot of fun around town and on back roads or even rural state highways. I'm sure I look silly on it, but who cares, it's such a hoot to ride!
Hey man, I recommend looking at a vespa gts 300. It’s a perfect size bike. Not too small, not too big. Good power, very classy good looks, and under seat storage makes it very usable. The new gts can even be optioned with a tft display dash, and blue tooth.
Depends on why you want to ride. If you're just looking for joyrides/cruising/adrenaline rush fix, go for the motorcycle. If you want transportation/utility get a scooter, particularly one with a flat floor. They can carry a ton of gear better than the average motorcycle. I haul ten gallons of water on mine like it isn't even there.
Absolutely agree! I’ve got a Kymco Downtown 300cc, And I’ve got my Yamaha XT Dual Sport. I honestly love them both! They both serve their purpose, and the Kymco actually has plenty of power to have a blast. It’s also great in the twisties. It’s awesome to have the choice what type of ridding you want to do that day. Now a days some of the new models of maxi-scooters coming out look pretty badass in my opinion. The new Kymco AK550 is pretty sick actually. Definitely having the best of both worlds, and diversifying your stable is the way to go! I’ve got my lady in the streets, and my freak in the dirt. 👌🏻😅

@@CycleCruza Yea, I know I’ve had my eye on that ADV750 for awhile. Wish they would bring it over too. I’ve seen the ADV150 a couple times around here, and it’s actually pretty rad. So I can’t even imagine how awesome the 750 would be.
Have Honda CTX700 DCT and love it. Auto shift is especially nice commuting.
Bought my first ever motorized vehicle in January this year. An electric 45 km/h scooter. Man i LOVE that thing. It has sparked an interest in riding anything with two wheels, and for that reason, I'm so getting a motorcycle one day too, but I will always keep this scooter. It is so amazing.
My wife and I rented scooters when we went to Vegas... It was so fun

I ride a Yamaha Zuma 125 and have so much fun on it. I have always felt that if you hadn’t bought a mainland Chinese scooter that you would still be riding a working scooter today. 🛵💨
Especially 50cc 2stroke that was my first bike it feels crazy going 65mph on a small scooter. Still have it and it's a lot of fun especially when you tune them.😅

Had a Genuine Hooligan 170i last year, got in a wreck w/an SUV, I was going straight through a light, and lady didn't wait for me to go through she claimed she didn't see me, it got totaled. I had all gear on, but I ended up in ER and physical therapy for months. It was fun while it lasted though. Now I have a 20' Iron 883 Sporty, still wear all the gear. But I learned to ride on that scooter though.
Own 2. Benelli zafferano and used tmax just picked up. They are a blast , good mileage and I can pick up groceries.
I have a Supermoto and a Yamaha SMax with a Corbin seat. My favorite ride is the SMax. Twist and go.

Alright, ive managed to put 5K miles on a Ruckus and it's that time to get my moto lisc and that first ride. Torn between the tw200 and adv150 which will get used mon thru fri for commuting (year round! ) and trails on the weekend (think Mt blue state park) , sometimes with the wifey. New school vs old and they come in pretty much the same price new. Thoughts? No highway use. Maine roads are 50-60 max. To moto or stay the scootabro?

I considered the Zuma 150 scooter, it doesn't have much suspension travel though. An xt 250 looks like fun with its longer travel suspension. The roads are rough here. The added fees over MSRP are really bad.

When my wife and I vacationed in Hawaii in 2016 we rented scooters for a day. Scooters are very popular over there. When I returned home to Texas I bought a cheep Chinese scooter; brand Yungfoo. December that year I bought my first motorcycle, 2015 Honda CTX 700 ND. March 2018 I bought 2018 Honda Goldwing. It all started with those scooters we rented.

I'm not much into scooters, but I do want one of the new Honda Trail 125's. Pretty close to a scooter, but a little more capable. If I were to buy a scooter I would have to look at the Honda ADV 150. I would want one that can do 55 at least. Rode one at the beach once that only did 35 and it was scary when you had cars backing up behind you.
CycleCruza like what I was telling you for YEARS about the FZ09/MT09 and you finally got one years later. lol Get a Kawasaki Z125 or a Honda Grom instead of a scooter. It's way worth the money. They go about 65-70 mph. I have a 2016 FZ09 and a 2017 Kawasaki Z125, I love them.

2 years I own it no issue made well.
I have a DRZ400SM with 30k miles!!! and discovered MAXI SCOOTERS am going to buy a Yamaha XMAX, Also I just built my Honda Ruckus Stretched never had so much fun in a bike before Honda ruckus Scooter. This is why I want a bigger scooter for the convenience and just overall daily convenience. I cant find any TMAX so XMAX is next best thing for me.

Don’t know what size you’re looking for, but I had the same dilemma when looking for a T-Max. The Honda PCX150 and ADV-150 are both pretty nice, and have a bit more power than your average 150cc. Definitely check out Kymco if you’ve never researched them before. They have some awesome options in 250-300cc. As well as a couple 500-550cc that are sick! I’ve got a Kymco Downtown 300cc. That performs like a much higher cc. It’s got enough power for highway, but is still fairly lightweight and agile. You can’t go wrong with the XMAX either though.

I love my 150cc ruckus stretch and fatty mount it can do 67mph all day and it's an attention machine gets so many looks and complement's..leaves Harley guys baffled!!!!but am wanting more of the big boy scooter life now even while I wheelie my DRZ and hooligan on it ALL DAY. I still want a bigger scooter.
If you can find a tmax omg.... Also check out Kymco AK 550 (52.7hp and 41lb-ft) is no Tmax but next best thing ain't that expensive either and I hear good things about Kymco latley.

If someone is thinking of getting one, check out Mitch's Scooter Stuff. I've had the Ex's 50cc two stroke down to the crankshaft in my bedroom on a fold down 4'x18" hobby table, not hard yank the back end out to work on compared to a motorcycle. Might be the gateway drug to more two wheel fun.
Genuine roughhouse scooter is 2000 dollars new and couple mods it will do between 60-70 mph
Kymco is pronounced 'Kimco' CycleCruza -please :) Anyhow, I learned off of scooters. I had 2 Suzuki Burgmans (the 400 & the 650) and a Kymco Xciting 500 that I bought brand new. They are cool & fun. I wanted my first motorcycles to be scooters because I was confident that I could learn better starting on those. Only bad thing was that the depreciation on that Kymco was a hard hit and the Burgmans were old and had some issues. Anyhow I wouldn't mind getting a Burgman 650 again! - that Maxi-scooter was AWESOME -see ya
I made the mistake of buying a bike with no experience, long story short, I let someone ride it, they crashed it and I just recently sold it. Now I really want a yamaha zuma 125 just because my parents hate bikes and getting a zuma 125 will get my foot into the door in the world of motorcycles. Then I could use that to get my motorcycle license and eventually move up to a dual sport, supermoto, or maybe an MT-07 or any other bike. I could've just done that earlier this year and I would've saved so much more money and could've been riding something at least, but 2021 will be a year to finally do things that I missed out on this year.

I've talked to a bunch of guys riding scooters who have said they got them because they got DUI's driving their cars. With the 50cc ones you do not need a license in Florida.

I used to have a Burgman 400 scooter. Great bike - really comfortable, pretty good torque too actually. Not quite fast enough for the interstate though (topped out around 80), which is why unless you live in an urban environment it's usually better to have a motorcycle in the USA; too frequently you'll want/need to get on the highway to get anywhere.
My wife and I were also having a blast squidding in Key West during our honeymoon on a 50cc scooter in 2015. That was what introduced me to riding actually. I ended up trading the burgman 400 in for an SV650. A Burgman 650 would probably be powerful enough for the Interstate though. I'd definitely add a little scooter to the quiver if I ended up moving somewhere like Key West, which could well happen.

My wife and I rented scooters when we went to Bermuda in 2016 and it was a blast. I might add that gasoline was $10 a gallon.... lol

Went from a suzuki SV 650 to a Yamaha a Xmax300 scooter. I dont think I will ever go back to motorcycles if I do it wil be ifor a toy but being a daily commuter a scooter is so nimble, storage is amazing can go into work no helment and jacket and I can do some amazing shopping, great low end torque, phone charger and you get the smoothest freeway rides.
You need a proper bike with comfort and luggage storage. Like a Versys 650
@@ascerta No..I can get extra storage if needed by I have enough and the size of the Xmax is so perfect becasuse I am in Cali and I can lane splite and I cant get into spots motorcycles cant. I dont like the big high feeling of the Versys. Each bike has to fit what a person likes and I like the manuerverability of midsize to smaller bikes.
I like both; but I have to admit I've been eyeing these new Maxi-Scooters which are awfully nice.
The X max is where it's at. Unless you can find a bergman 400. Man they are expensive tho. I've been looking for a,small bike and I think I'm just going to get the CB300r...is the T max even for sale in the USA? I've never seen one

I had a scooter for a while it was fun 49ccs fun just to cruise around town on nothing wrong with scooters at all
I started riding on a scooter back when I was 12,but then switched to a motorcycle when I grew up. Scooters are good for commuting around town (they have good fuel economy, a lot of luggage space under the seat,they can have a top case,some have a small compartment under the handlebars, and they're fairly comfortable),which is why here in Europe they are popular with people who just want a cheap transport from point A to point B but don't consider themselves a part of the biker community,but in my opinion they're just not as fun to ride as motorcycles. They are more fun than not riding anything though,one of my friends injured his leg in a bike crash and he can't shift gears anymore,he can't afford an automatic motorcycle like Aprilia Mana or an electric bike,so he rides a scooter since then.
Check out the Honda X-ADV 750 hybrid scooter, so sick but they don't sell it in the US. Scooters are fun to mess around on, like people love the little Honda Grom.

I Ride a Scccootaahhh ! .. when i was 17 i had a little 50 cc i rode everywhere on that little scooter 🛵.. 😂 i brought a suzuki mine goes up to 100 I love the bike its a joy to ride .... i had to really work up the courage to get back to riding but honestly its the best thing i ever did ! 😀😀😀
BMW 650gt was one if the most awesome bike I ever road. But short wheelbase and high center of weight make the vespa a little too dangerous for my squid body
When I was 16 I was squid riding a moped and I got it to bout 40mph and drove over some gravel and lowsided the bike slid a bit and I had zero rash I thought that was crazy

Would be cool and different if you got a TMax to collection. Here in Spain Valencia there are a lot of them and the BMW equivalent which is a 650. I prefer and street cred is still the TMax power upgrade and a few things exhaust add a sweet note. You would probably get more subscribers.... No but back in the day I had wanted to get a cbr250rr. I think those are cool little bikes.
Only thing is NEVER get anything that can't keep up with the traffic speeds of where you live. If you live in a slow speed town centre area a low power scooter is king whereas if all the roads are 40mph or above then you need something a little faster
They have bigger scooters, check out the Tmax. That crappy chinese 175cc scooter topped out at 55 mph, did fine around town but I never went on the highway.

I have a hand full of motorbikes but I also own a Honda forza 300. I actually ride it a lot. Storage and great for cruising. Fun taking it through the twisties and blowing past sport bikes. The shame. Haha

@@Adrenalean767 haha naturally. When I say blow past I put the scooter to its limits and the motor bike is probably cruising and taking it easy. But still, seeing a scooter blow past you when the vast majority of people disrespect them would be disliked by the motorbike rider.

I love my Honda silverwing scooter but working on it is just the worst. It’s awful. It’s a blast to ride and with 600cc it is very versatile. The only thing it won’t do is off road.
I have a scooter, amongst a few bikes. Friends do judge but I believe only for banter. I really enjoy the scooter and the banter. To be honest anyone who thinks they a too cool are people that are the complete opposite and I would hate to live such a shallow life where you a confined by other people’s opinions.

In Asia and Europe people use motorcycles to work. In North America motorcycles are used to have fun. That is why electric motorcycles don't sell in North America.
