Just Christmas - Gemmy Knockoff Singing & Dancing Santa Trio With Reindeer (4ft) 2007

- I cannot find a lot of information about this particular item, the only thing I can remember and find was it was released in 2006 or 2007 in local, temporary Christmas shops and was distributed by Just Christmas? I am assuming this is a knockoff of the Gemmy Singing & Dancing Santa Trio with Reindeer. Unlike a lot of knockoffs, I think is rather cute.
With this item being over 10 years old or more, the mechanisms inside are rather loud, also, Santa's arm with the microphone no longer moves nor the left reindeer's mouth. These require busting open the stitching to replace the rubber belt, which I don't want to do!

Makes me wonder if they're overvolted. It sure sounds like those motors aren't meant for running continuously at that speed.

It’s really rare
Just looked into the back of one of the reindeer. Both arms broken, lips move just a fraction and it doesn't dance anymore. You just about have to destroy all stitching to do repairs. The motor is working, but not driving the mechanism. A couple of years ago I lent this to a friend and Santa broke (can't remember what failed exactly), and he repaired it with timber. A stronger fix than the original. Santa is easier to fix than the reindeer as you can just drop his pants.

I saw it at a vintage market and it didn't say gemmy anywhere on it and I didn't know it it was rare or what. Now I'm sure it was a damn knockoff.

Apparently this was sold in JcPennys Australia for the Christmas season of 2006. No wonder it sounds like its saying "Santa: Has anyone seen snow? Reindeer: No!".

Aaron's Magic Yikes, is it the entire motherboard or some worn out capacitors? If it’s just a bad capacitor you might be able to find a replacement.
