When Elena said “who are you?” I felt that.. And the way she plays with her ring is dangerous.. and the fact that all Sully could say is I’m sorry. Oufff so many feels.
This entire scene is *_masterful_* - it is really incredible. To think it's form a videogame, too! I love all the obvious and less obvious details - namely: - Sam's body language - especially after the reveal of his lie, it makes full sense how uncomfortable he really is here. - Elena toying with her ring - Nate calling Sully by his full surname, *_Sullivan_* This is such an emotional scene on multiple fronts and it is masterfully crafted
I bet Emily (voice actress for Elena), is so completely used to saying Nathan all the time in so many different ways...Considering she not only did this game series but also Haven, in which her love interest was also called Nathan XD
Nate: "Look it's gonna sound crazy" Elena: "Try me" Shit just hit the fan for Nate. He's scared now.... Amazing chars and char development and just mesmerizing chemistry and mesmerizing Elena. She is the perfect woman/wife tbh.
This might be hella out of character but I deadass wanted Sully to slap Nate and then be like, “God dammit I’ve watched you for years Nate and in all your years you have never found a treasure more valuable than that woman right there. She is the best thing that has ever happened to you. Go get her”
This scene alone is the main reason why A Thief’s End is my favorite installment in the franchise. Naughty Dog really drove home the heart of the cast of characters, as well as the connection between gamers and the characters. Such a satisfying end to an amazing adventure.
I think the part that made me want to punch Nate the most was at the end when Elena was about to walk out the door and she says "I have a plane to catch" and you can see a tear running down her face. :(
Wow, someone doesn't get the gravity of this lie. He lied to her and went off on a dangerous adventure where he might end up dead and his body never found. If you had a wife or husband that did that, lied to you FOR WEEKS, pretending they were on a job in Paris when they were actually almost getting killed or worse in some desert in Iraq, what would you feel? Stop trying to act like some edgelord with "no feelings" for a moment and think how that would actually feel. People act like Elena was wrong to feel this way, when she was very much in the right. When you grow up, you'll get it.
i agree with Rohan Kishibe, also if youve played the other uncharted games, this scene has a bit more of an impact cause elena had been putting up with nate's shit for awhile, this was her last straw.
This scene did a great job showing how Elena felt betrayed by Nate not finding fulfillment in their home life. And I feel the tables we’re turned brilliantly later when Elena saw she was taking Nate away from his true passion. The compromise they struck in the end was testament to how much she actually cares about him.
I've seen nobody talk about this and I agree so much! I'd also add that at this point Elena realises that she's also hurt because she's not involved in this adventure, which means that she misses that life too and she too was lying to herself before
The flashback episode with the breaking-in the mansion if you were actually exploring for the notes, what's written on them was pretty much what could have happened to Nate and Elena.
@@redaxer2908the old lady that was in that house during the flashbacks was like Nate. She loved adventure and travelling. She had a loving husband and child but wasn't enough. They broke it off and the their child wanted NOTHING to do with her. She was pretty much gonna die alone.
I had a small feeling that they were going to kill off Sully after how he treated Sully. Like the last thing he said was horrible and that can't be changed. Thankfully not because they have teased his death one too many times! xD
i love when nathan says "i don't even care about the treasure" and they do that push in on elena's face and you can see the tears in her eyes and she says "the look on your face when you walked in here... if you're done lying to me then you should stop lying to yourself" and then the look on nathan's face he knew she was right
This scene made me want to give up the whole treasure hunt and just go with Elena and make everything better. Funny how only Naughty Dog games mess with me like this.
I was honestly surprised Elena turned up there it was great to see her involved in the hunt for the treasure too she saves Nate later and they patch up beautifully later 🥰❤
This part made me realize how much the story brought me into the game because one minute you’re having a blast explosions and shooting everywhere then this unexpected scene. we all felt like it was us and felt guilty about it lol
Elena is the perfect woman and perfect wife. Any man would be lucky to have a woman like Elena and she cares about him and loves him so deeply and he knows he messed up. The acting, dialogs, movements, silence where nothing is said but so much is conveyed. I was engrossed, amazed, intrigued, scared, moved, involved at this point. What a game, what amazing cutscenes and what amazing woman who voiced this - she is truly sublime, a beauty and a perfect woman imo. A man would do anything to be with her always.
It was actually pretty clever though! In a couple of scenes beforehand, Rafe tells Nathan that his phone has GPS, leading to how Rafe found out about their location. If Rafe could see their GPS, so could Elena!
This scene hits harder because right before this was an insanely dangerous chase sequence that Nate could have been easily killed at any moment, and like Elena said she would probably never know about it.
I got married not too long ago and at the time this scene wasn’t that effective. I understand why it’s a powerful scene. If I had lied to my wife about what I was doing without being honest with her, it would be hard for her to forgive me.
when he walked into the room she was looking at the map not at him and by the time she turned around he knew he fucked up so how did she know the look on his face?
Fuckn women... they know EVERYTHING about that one man in their life. Like my gf.. she doesnt need to see my face, if she found out i was lying and i said something like “oh yea that treasures as good as ourssshit.” she could jus tell by the stutter in my damn voice or the way my eyebrows raise when im tryna come up wit a lie. MEN WE GOTTA FACE THIS FACT: Theres no lying to our women.😪
This was the scene that confirmed how much I loved the uncharted series, however, the emotional depth in which it added to the characters. This scene was about as real as it could get! I remember the first time I experienced it, I forgot I was even playing a video game.
Im the first cahpter of the first game, Drake tells Elena that he had spent time in a panamanian jail afte they are attacked by pirates. In tgis scene we learn that the jail he mentioned is the one tgat appears on uncharted 4...
Watching this scene, I think it’s amazing how not only the graphics have improved since the first game, but also the voice acting! I mean don’t get me wrong, Nolan, Emily, and Richard were fine back then, but the emotions have been dialed up to eleven! Emily as Elena in particular I think just knocks it out of the park with the amount of anguish she packs into her dialogue segments is heart aching. One more reason this is my favorite game in the series as well as one of my new all time favorite video games period!
I've watched Nate fight pirates, mercenaries, zombies, yeti's, etc. I've seen him escape death literally thousands of times. None of that phased me. But when he walked in that room and Elana was there, I actually gasped.
i cried when Elena left the room crying... man... Nate's lies to Elena... Nate treating Sully kinda bad... the bad guys found them... but when Elena left the room crying I cried because I thought she would leave Nate... I thought she would never come back... i cried because this was what i was thinking see Elena crying was one of the worst things i saw in years... i like Elena... she's the kind of person that i want for my life see her crying... was really bad for me

Mimi B Sam did force Nate because he said if he doesn't get the treasure he will die so Nate didn't want Sam to die so he helped him.
Mimi B lol, giving up your life is considered a lot by most people's standards but I don't know.
When Elena said “who are you?” I felt that..
And the way she plays with her ring is dangerous..
and the fact that all Sully could say is I’m sorry.
Oufff so many feels.
This entire scene is *_masterful_* - it is really incredible. To think it's form a videogame, too! I love all the obvious and less obvious details - namely:
- Sam's body language - especially after the reveal of his lie, it makes full sense how uncomfortable he really is here.
- Elena toying with her ring
- Nate calling Sully by his full surname, *_Sullivan_*
This is such an emotional scene on multiple fronts and it is masterfully crafted
I bet Emily (voice actress for Elena), is so completely used to saying Nathan all the time in so many different ways...Considering she not only did this game series but also Haven, in which her love interest was also called Nathan XD
The look on your face when you walked into this room...if you're done lying to me, you should stop lying to yourself.
Dead Or Alive Modelling Agency Nah she just has the magical powers called being a woman
Nate: "Look it's gonna sound crazy"
Elena: "Try me"
Shit just hit the fan for Nate. He's scared now.... Amazing chars and char development and just mesmerizing chemistry and mesmerizing Elena. She is the perfect woman/wife tbh.
5:23 ''Without me?'' He's right, by that time his body count was around 2000.
This might be hella out of character but I deadass wanted Sully to slap Nate and then be like, “God dammit I’ve watched you for years Nate and in all your years you have never found a treasure more valuable than that woman right there. She is the best thing that has ever happened to you. Go get her”
Kirito Kidigaya have you heard of the wonderful world of fan fiction? You’d be good at it.
He still thought he had to save his brother, anyone with a brother they love would do the same
bro i would’ve loved to see that
One of the best comments I've ever read 😞👌🏼❤️
Gosh that is so fucking cringy sounds like those relationship mobile games
Not so obvious but a tear has already rolled down on Elena's cheek. Okay let's all cry now.
Theia Alexandra Dy yup, I didn't even know how to feel after this scene. I just felt bad for basically everyone haha, especially elena ):
This scene alone is the main reason why A Thief’s End is my favorite installment in the franchise. Naughty Dog really drove home the heart of the cast of characters, as well as the connection between gamers and the characters. Such a satisfying end to an amazing adventure.
As well as the plot twist. This game does a good job of creating a sense of realism amongst the characters. The writing is spectacular
I think the part that made me want to punch Nate the most was at the end when Elena was about to walk out the door and she says "I have a plane to catch" and you can see a tear running down her face. :(
+Mkc N so what?
+Mkc N someone needs to rewatch this
Wow, someone doesn't get the gravity of this lie.
Claire Um... K.
If Sam was Elena's son, he'd have been Sam Fisher...from Splinter Cell.
lololol
Tralalka Pipets 😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂
Tralalka Pipets exept he wouldnt
Tralalka Pipets Would still be Sam Drake...
Illuminati confirmed
@@ckelcro What did the notes say?
@@redaxer2908the old lady that was in that house during the flashbacks was like Nate. She loved adventure and travelling. She had a loving husband and child but wasn't enough. They broke it off and the their child wanted NOTHING to do with her. She was pretty much gonna die alone.
The one time playing the game I actually teared up. The acting is SO good.
Coming back to this I just grow more appreciative of Naughty Dog. The facial animations are just amazing. Can't wait for the Last of Us Part 2.
3 years later u would probably regret the last of us 2 story😂🤣😂
Hope you didn’t waste your money on the last of us 2 lmao
@@azgaming4532 disagree
@@superdrifter-1773 not a waste
@@Josh0639 You actually liked the sequel ?
I had a small feeling that they were going to kill off Sully after how he treated Sully. Like the last thing he said was horrible and that can't be changed. Thankfully not because they have teased his death one too many times! xD
Sam twiddling his fingers in the corner like he's a homeboy watching his friend get scolded by his mom.
I feel really bad for Elena but I understand Nate too. *spoilers* I'm glad she came back for him later.
Nathan made a huge mistake... giving an explanation while Elena has a gun.... mostly men won't survive that....
Lol she would never shoot him, that would make no sense...
He wasnt having an unfair.
@@GameDjeenie yandere
i have no idea why but that comment made me chuckle
@@crashpal she isn’t a yandere tho
That "Who *are* you?" put chills in my bones. Do not mess with Elena Fisher.
3:31 she’s grabbing at her wedding ring. Man, naughty may have messed up with one of their biggest games, but their attention to detail is amazing.
i love when nathan says "i don't even care about the treasure" and they do that push in on elena's face and you can see the tears in her eyes and she says "the look on your face when you walked in here... if you're done lying to me then you should stop lying to yourself" and then the look on nathan's face he knew she was right
When Elena hold her ring as if she want to remove it is Oscar worthy! I felt the emotion!! This is amazing! 3:32
1:49 You can see the sadness, disappointment in her eyes, and her voice just start cracking, incredible.
You know a character is good at acting when even you the player feel bad for him
Daniel Gibeault i even feel bad for myself
This scene made me want to give up the whole treasure hunt and just go with Elena and make everything better. Funny how only Naughty Dog games mess with me like this.
I was honestly surprised Elena turned up there it was great to see her involved in the hunt for the treasure too she saves Nate later and they patch up beautifully later 🥰❤
"The look on your face when you walked in this room"
GIRL YOU LITERALLY WERE FACING THE WRONG DIRECTION WHEN HE CAME IN
They should have changed that to "the sound of your voice when you walked in this room"
Poor sully 😭
When you hear your wife say "try me" you better be prepared to run like hell
4:00 “If you were killed i... I wouldnt have even known about it.”
Imagine if he was cheating with Chloe during all that time.
But why would he? He hookef up with chloe in U2 but in U2 he wasnt really in a relationship with anyone
2:34 I am pretty sure even Sam was scared af 😂
Uncharted 4 story is way better than the last of us 2
I agree with you ♥️🙏🏻
It’s crazy how some of the bad guys get off (Nadine) whereas they brutally kill beloved characters for no reason in others
This part made me realize how much the story brought me into the game because one minute you’re having a blast explosions and shooting everywhere then this unexpected scene. we all felt like it was us and felt guilty about it lol
Nate calling Sully "Sullivan" hits hard
Elena is the perfect woman and perfect wife. Any man would be lucky to have a woman like Elena and she cares about him and loves him so deeply and he knows he messed up. The acting, dialogs, movements, silence where nothing is said but so much is conveyed. I was engrossed, amazed, intrigued, scared, moved, involved at this point. What a game, what amazing cutscenes and what amazing woman who voiced this - she is truly sublime, a beauty and a perfect woman imo. A man would do anything to be with her always.
The cutscenes in this game are absolutely beautiful
They always find out. Somehow.
sameold23 she knows this stuff like the back of her hand by now
sameold23 especially when your wife is a journalist
It was actually pretty clever though! In a couple of scenes beforehand, Rafe tells Nathan that his phone has GPS, leading to how Rafe found out about their location. If Rafe could see their GPS, so could Elena!
Video game is the highest form of entertainment and this explains why
This scene hits harder because right before this was an insanely dangerous chase sequence that Nate could have been easily killed at any moment, and like Elena said she would probably never know about it.
After
I got married not too long ago and at the time this scene wasn’t that effective. I understand why it’s a powerful scene. If I had lied to my wife about what I was doing without being honest with her, it would be hard for her to forgive me.
Tbh I almost cry at this part
when he walked into the room she was looking at the map not at him and by the time she turned around he knew he fucked up so how did she know the look on his face?
marvin lezcano Yeah I noticed that too
marvin lezcano females. they just know
Corsaro what about when she did turn around
Still think uncharted 4 is the best thing naughty dog has put out, yes even better than TLOU
Big fax
One of my best cutscenes in uncharted ever
To this day, the best cutscene in gaming.
Just jaw dropping. Incredible mocap and voice acting here.
Im the first cahpter of the first game, Drake tells Elena that he had spent time in a panamanian jail afte they are attacked by pirates. In tgis scene we learn that the jail he mentioned is the one tgat appears on uncharted 4...
Michael Saba that attention to detail tho it’s like they planned it out from the beginning
Oh shit I didn't even think about that
Watching this scene, I think it’s amazing how not only the graphics have improved since the first game, but also the voice acting!
What a scene full of emotions. I hope these games never get remade into live action films
Ya, they’re making movies
Well, well, well... I'm from the future and...
i'm sorry for you lol
Damn this scene alone gets the cake for the GOTY in 2016. Can't believe why the hell not
I swear this is better then most movies
1:47 that expression of her face... Disappointment and disbelief carefully hidden behind that veil of casual talk. Simply remarkable.
@@honor6200 fixed, ty
Damn I couldn't stop saying sorry to Elena after this scene ended, the acting was so good lol
i cried when Elena left the room crying... man... Nate's lies to Elena... Nate treating Sully kinda bad... the bad guys found them... but when Elena left the room crying
I cried because I thought she would leave Nate... I thought she would never come back... i cried because this was what i was thinking
see Elena crying was one of the worst things i saw in years... i like Elena... she's the kind of person that i want for my life
see her crying... was really bad for me
2:45 Elena's face xD "........what? Sully, explain"
At 4:00 she says "if you were killed i wouldn't have even known about it." The thing is, he most likely was killed many times. How does she always forget about Nates ability to come back to life?
I’ve seen this scene a bunch of times and it still gives me chills bro
1:40-1:43 I just got one word for drake. BUSTED!!
The magic of Naughty Dog!
“You should have seen your face when you walked in” she wasn’t even looking 😂
This might be one of the best acted scenes in any video game yet.
This scene couldn't be anymore realistic not just the graphics but also how Elena reacts when she found out that Nate.
Why is some people hating on Elena for calling out Nathan's deception?
this is the best cutscene of all uncharted games
Some of the best voice acting in video game history.
Probably one of the many reasons, you just come to love Nate and Elena.
