    Timon Klein from Hillsong actually uses a Fender Strat Plus with the lace sensors in them! It was originally blue but he painted the guitar and the pick guard black.. not sure if maybe that’s who you were thinking of. Inspired me to buy a 1987 Strat Plus.. it’s awesome!

    • @Worshipgtrmagazine

      Haha. Thanks for the confirmation. I was watching a video a few weeks ago of United and saw that it was Timon Klein and not Dylan and also that he was using Lace pickups as well. Both are sweet guitars nonetheless.

    What he says about the smaller the POG gets the worse they are is absolutely true! “Worse” may be a wrong word to use but you don’t get the same tonal abilities out of the micro and nano POG vs the POG 2. It’s exactly why I use the POG 2 instead of downsizing to the smaller versions.

      Ajay with the amps off stage your hearing the guitar coming through the front of house or on stage monitors. Also with the camera mic I’m sure it makes that small delay more obvious than is really is.

  • @jalguitarman
    @jalguitarman Před 6 lety +1

    So, is he just running his pedal board right into the front of both of those amps? Or is he running time based effects in the effects loops of those amps? Assuming the have effects loops. I am trying to figure out if I need to have effects loops on my amps or just keep running everything straight into the amp? Which mean that I am only getting distortion from a pedal.

    • @Worshipgtrmagazine
      @Worshipgtrmagazine  Před 6 lety +1

      He is running everything into the front of both amps. Rarely do we see guys running effects loops.

    • @brianjones8018
      @brianjones8018 Před 5 lety +2

      The only time you would need to use an effects loop is if you are using a high gain amp. If you are using a lot of gain from the amp, you would put your time based “wet” effects in the loop so they sound okay and the gain doesn’t distort them. But when you are using a mostly clean amp, it would be fine and almost preferred to run everything into the front of the amp. If you aren’t playing rock or metal or something, it should be fine to run everything into the front

    what is the yellow thing on top of the two amps?

    • @Worshipgtrmagazine
      @Worshipgtrmagazine  Před 7 lety +2

      They are called SGI Boxes by Radial Engineering. Basically they convert your signal from your pedal board from 1/4" unbalanced to XLR which can be run over 300 feet without signal loss. The signal is then converted back to 1/4" going into the amp. So you have 1 foot or so of 1/4" cable instead of hundreds of feet.
      There are two boxes. One at the pedalboard which converts to XLR then another one on top of the amp, which you are seeing, that converts it back to 1/4".

    • @Worshipgtrmagazine
      @Worshipgtrmagazine  Před 7 lety +1

      Glad we were able to help out. The SGI boxes are fantastic. I use them on Sunday morning at our church. Anything over about 20 feet of 1/4" cable run you start to see some tonal loss on the high end and it just get's worse as the cable get's longer. Kind of like a small hose that is super long compared to a small hose that is 1' long.
