I don’t usually ever comment on anything but this really saved me. I dropped them in this big puddle and this was also my first “adult” purchase. Long story short this really works. Go to the previous video and click the link that says water ejection. However it will say that it is untrusted. To let the iPhone trust the app, go to settings , and scroll all the way down to “shortcuts”. It should be an “S” that’s colorful. It’ll say something like you can’t trust it till you run a short cut. So then go to the short cuts app and run a short cut. The easiest one is the location so Siri will give you your current location. Once you do that you’ll be able to trust the water ejection app. Then follow his instructions. Hope this was helpful. You don’t need an Apple Watch btw

it works so well !! i dropped one in a cup of water when i was setting them down without looking and it was quieter and more muffled than the other one. so i tried the shortcut out for like 2-3 minutes and it sound just as it did before!!! so happy because these things are expensive lol thank you!!!

I used desiccant and rice for mine when I dropped it in water, I put it in a sealed bag filled with rice and desiccant packets and it works wonders!

This worked!! Two days on rice and then got it to charge. Ran the shortcut about 20 times and then progressively the vibration became stronger and the sound quality got better. I then put my lips around side opening and blew into it and now it’s back to normal

Omg this is a life saver. I left my headphones in my pocket and threw them in the washer. I tried to see if they would still work and only 1 worked and it was really quiet. I was sceptical but like it actually works. Now it works in both ears and both play at the same volume. This is amazing!!!

@@ania-.. it’s in the description bro. Atleast watch the video before you start asking questions. You’ll need to go to your settings to allow for shortcuts to be added this way though.

Zactakers if it doesn’t let u download it go to settings, then shortcuts then it says activate untrusted shortcuts if you can’t activate it run a quick shortcut then activate it then it lets u get it

The thing is when I try installing the water eject, it says it couldn’t be installed because the security of the app doesn’t allow untrusted shortcuts.

There's a bunch of videos on CZcams that play sounds which will eject water from your AirPods. I've created one which a lot of people have had success with, but I'm sure plenty of others work too. Might be easier just to use one of those vids. Simple and they work.

Have not yet tried this method out... but if it actually works!! I’ll owe you for life!!
Dropped my right AirPod into the toilet & I was able to fix it by washing it really quickly to remove bacteria (5 secs) then dunking it head (the part that goes in your ear) down into rice for two days.
After an hour of having it in rice I connected my phone to my AirPods & played really loud music ) then didn’t use my AirPods again till two days later. How ever between those two days that my AirPods were submerged in the rice I would move it around in the rice to make sure the water flows completely out of it.
I took it out in the second day, wipes it with an a bit of rubbing alcohol then played loud music & IT WORKED !!

And then when it says u have to have a previous shortcut, just create a random one and then use it once. Once u do that u can then allow untrusted ones.
