That "Stars" jam between Marty and Hal-ca was THE BEST STUFF I've heard on Rock Fujiyama so far! Incredibly high level of playing from both artists. Hal-Ca is a gem (and her bandmates are incredible too!), please share the word about ASTERISM!
Asterism are my favourite instrumental band. Hal-Ca has such soulfulness to go with her technical skill, and the Yoshinaka brothers are at the same level. Miyu's bass playing is pretty special. So happy to see Hal-Ca finally featured here.
EDIT: I commented before I saw Marty and Hal-Ca playing Stars. That was truly amazing!
In my opinion Hal-Ca is one of the strongest guitarists. I don't know any name that can compare to her in terms of technique and charisma on stage. She is unique.
Hal-Caのギタープレイの物凄さを改めて確認しました。ハーモニクス音と通常音を正確に弾き分ける強力なピッキング。高速の小指ストレッチであんなにしっかりした音出せる人って男性プレイヤーでも少ないのでは。正にワールドクラス！そしてマーティも言っていたアステリズムの楽曲の良さは特筆！今日のコメント聞くまで本当に年若い彼らが作ってるのか疑ってたほど。CZcamsで見られるHal-Caのステージ上のパフォーマンスはめちゃ可愛いし、三拍子揃ったアステリズムは現在でも素晴らしいが将来への期待は途方もない！
I'm so happy to see Hal-Ca appear on Rock Fujiyama. I've wanted to hear Marty and Hal-Ca jam for ages and I was not disappointed. It would be awesome for Marty to invite Asterism to tour with him. Exceptional talent that deserves to be heard around the world!!

初めて聴いたのが大山まきさんとのコラボ(LOUDNESSの曲)でしたけど、ハルカさんのギターとみゆ君のベースを聴いた時の衝撃は今でも忘れません！
HAL-CA嬢はその超絶テクニックはもちろんだが、ステージのパフォーマンスが実に素晴らしい。全身でロックしているZ世代最高峰の一人でしょう。凄い凄い。
Finally the little guitar speed demon gets some recognition for her talent and efforts. She may be only 21 but she has been writing and playing gigs for 10 years now together with the two other extremely talented band members of Asterism. They are all world class musicians and I hope they rise in fame internationally like some Japanese bands have started to do (Band maid, nemophila, lovebites, gacharic spin, hanabie, etc.) and tour more out of Japan - I really hope I can see them live some day.
There are many talented musicians in Japan. However, since Japan have the second largest music market in the world, they do not actively promote it overseas. Because if it sells domestically, they can make a lot of money. Even if band want to work overseas, agencies will choose domestic market rather than overseas where success is not guaranteed.
The band will become deficit if they hold a live show overseas. It is difficult to make a profit unless they can attract a large audience. If music festival organizers invite bands, they can play overseas.

鬼のフルピッキングだ…且つタッピングも上手い。タッピングが達者なのは本人が言ってたゲーム音楽の研究由来からかな。ゲーム音楽って無理矢理ギターで弾こうとすると、ムチャクチャ手がデカいかタッピングじゃないと出せないフレーズ多いもんね。この子もLisa-Xも、若い世代の子はメタル一辺倒じゃなくて柔軟に色々吸収してて凄いなぁ

佐賀で観てたとき、ギターが上手いだけで終ってほしくないな～と思ったりしてましたが、音楽性とか、ミュージシャンとしての成長がすごくて、うれしくなりました😊 バンド内での切磋琢磨がお互いを成長させてるのがわかりますし、これからがさらに楽しみです😉
For me, she is the best Japanese rock girl guitarist of the recent time. I follows quite a few of them (J girls guitarist) for the last 5 to 7 years ago. She play tighter, more powerful and precise than others even though some are playing more technically advance than her.

In 2019, I used to sit in my car every week at 6:00a.m before work, watching Asterism play live on Instagram from the Hard Rock Cafe Fukuoka to a handful of family and friends. So it goes without saying that it's awesome to see her jamming with Marty!

@@waterwalker9600 it’s taken a bit to warm up to the new album, I actually like her singing, just didn’t think they had to have her sing every song. I like instrumental music, or at least long sections without vocals. Band-Maid are obviously great at it, even though they have two wonderful lead singers.
Been on quite a Nemophila binge. So excited for new album and didn’t realize they are playing Budokan? So happy for them.

I really like that Marty and co does let female musicians get some spotlight, since most of them don't stand much back from the males. Especially since I've seen him lately use the current East Of Eden bassist in his band.
I've always ranked Hal-ca among the best 10 female shredders, and kind of wondered if there would be a spot for her. And very happy that she proved me right. Really loved that thing at the end, with Stars. One of the finer moments at Rock Fujiyama for sure!
I hope to see Kanami and Miku from Band-maid at some occasion. Would make a fun episode, since Miku is such a character. Kanami? She is just made out of music!

If you're in to pure hard and metal, I recommand their album "Ignition". If you have a wide range of musical tastes, I recommand "Guernica +" (masterpiece IMO). If you prefer heavy rock with singing, their last album "Decide" is great. There's also an anime covers album "Animetic", quite spectacular too.
