It took them long to adjust to the new world but they would soon go back to being heroes of their respective nations.

Squigly vs Karl Kroenen (Skullgirls/Hellboy 2004 film):
*They both used to be normal people who stood out in the music department, more specifically in opera.
*But then everything would change after a certain event (Squigly and her family getting attacked by Black Dahlia due to them possesing the Skullheart at the moment/Karl's career ended due to his voice getting hit pretty badly by puberty).
*These events are noteworthy due to the massive suffering that they made them go through (Squigly got (temporarly) killed by Black Dahlia alongside her family/Karl would end up becoming insane and his self-harming tendencies would begin as well as him conducting horrific experiments on his body in his search for perfection).
*Due to these accidents (or in Squigly's case the aftermath of these accidents) their mouths would become affected in someway (Lorenzo sewed her mouth shut so she wouldn't tell anyone what happened/Karl removed his upper and lower lips in one of his experiments).
*They would become involved in a certain conflict in their stories (Squigly would be attacked alongside her family by Dahlia in a massacre conducted by the Medicis/Kroenen would fight alongside the nazis in Proyect Ragnarok).
*After this conflict they both were thought to have died (Squigly got put in a long slumber after the Skullgirl's defeat since no one was controlling her at the time/Kroenen got blown up by a grenade and impaled by a steel bar during the war). But they ended up returning (Squigly got reawoken due to Marie showing up/Karl reapeared after 74 years).
*They are both practically unkillable (Squigly is a zombie and the only way to kill her is by destroying the Skullheart/Karl is inmune to pain and very hard to kill).
*They are connected with a certain supernatural villain who is partially responsible for their current situation (Double gave the Skullheart to Squigly's mom, Selene/Rasputin would become Karl's new boss).
*Despite looking like humans they are not entirely human (Squigly is a zombie/Karl has several cybernetic implants including a mechanical heart).
*Contrasts:
*Hero vs villain.
*While Squigly despises the main villain group (The Medicis) for what she did to her family, Karl is a villain and is very loyal to Rasputin.
