- A LoloYodel AUDIO (audience recording) upgrade from a recent video post by MrMojoInco (see credits below).
To see the entire show, go to my Channel & "Playlist".
Jerry, this evening, with his black tee-shirt & green pants, seems to have the 'ol swing ! But you're the judge.
AUDIO : (an excellent) Master Audience recorded by Mr. Darby. AKG451EB/CK1's ~ Sony TC-D5M ...
VIDEO : a very well filmed video, front of stage, slightly to the left and probably from the nose-bleed seats. Possibly/probably taped by "mrmojoinco", straight from the Hi-8 master transferred in 2015.
The quality is sincerely (as usual), very, very good ! Stable, honest and clean ! Congrat's & thanks !
Set 1:

11 Way To Go Home
12 Corinna ~
13 drums ~
14 space ~
15 The Last Time ~
16 The Days Between ~
17 Around & Around
18 encore: Liberty
LoloYodel Notes :
1st set : well executed 1st set, nice song selections, well played and Jerry even has that knee-twitch before "Let it Grow".
2nd set : a sweet "Box of Rain" to open followed by a swanky "Aiko-Aiko" (with Jerry's leg's dancin' and a finger pointing at 8:28) ... "Corinna" is electric, "The Last Time" has Bobby returning for an extended "haaaaa" ... and "Days Between" is surprisingly haunting. Even "Around²" has a sweet end jam !
Shit, I thought 1994 was the beginning of the decline (perhaps so) but this STILL has good life !!
Enjoy ! - Hudba
A song I never want to hear anyone other than Jerry singing.
such a beautiful riff at 7:39 - god I remember crying at so many shows - even sober - was always an honor to hear this man play
I am so grateful that I got to hear the man sing too. Miss him and those days so much. "All we ever wanted was to learn, love, and grow." I am forever grateful. ⚡❤
We were so SO blessed...

Crying now
crying is natural. It means maybe, you are A LIVE. Love as always.
Wow I don't know what to say I didn't realize anybody was paying attention I am I am actually tearing up I miss I miss him
A masterpiece through and through. Proof that music can transcend time and carry emotions through to the next generations.
Here with tears in my eyes another year of the Days Between. Never got to see Jerry, but my god has he had an impact on my life.
Amen brother
That is a beautiful jam. Love U Bruddah.
The beauty is that he is with you every time you listen to his guitar, voice, and emotion. I’m glad you can make such a connection with the grateful dead, even though you never saw shows with Jerry…I believe they will always be a part of your life based on your comment …hey now fellow Deadhead… enjoy every moment of this incredible beauty that you get to experience
You Never Seen Jerry ???
@@Fictiussadly, no! I was 13 when he passed
No chorus, no bridge, only verses that express the experience of life perfectly.
I'm glad Jerry is not around to have to witness the times we are now in. So much death, greed and destruction.
He checked out too early but managed to escape, leaving behind a long trail of fine words and music.
See you in Dead Heaven Jerry!
He checked out on time. Prolly for the first time. (͡° ͜ʖ ͡°)
I have often thought the same things. he missed monica lewinsky, 9/11, shock and awe. sigh. i sometimes thank god jerry is dead too. and hank, and townes, and so many others. they were too good for the shit we're in now. then again, maybe we're in the shit we're in because all these great people are dead. ? But, I get it. Much love, JSN.
Nice username, I always use that phrase though it's not that original I suppose lol
There were days I know where all we ever wanted was to love and learn and grow... Thank you Jerry for all the days you’ve shared with us❤️
In remembrance of my late husband rest in peace dear one I love you and I'm sorry
RIGHT ON SISTER !!!
You lived, no reason to be sorry. Much love.💕💕💕💕
may everyday be a celebration of the love you shared, and may your memories of him help your soul shine it's light brightly
Be his eyes of the world
I think I know where your coming from .He understands and you will meet again.Trust and Love to you
Not one down vote in any of the comments. Blessings, my friends. Jerry made us ALL better. Opening hearts, minds, the thoroughfare to love immaculate. ❤
God, LSD, and Good Music.
You can feel the wonder joy pain and struggle of life itself in this performance of days between, god its heart wrenching.
Oh Jerry! You make me weep. You were an original. The one and only. We still miss you terribly.
These are definitely the ones that get me teared up. So many roads, ripple, I guess at times a lot of tunes put a lump in my throat. Lucky Ol' Sun....I remember hearing that for the first time at a JGB show and soaked my bandana...I don't know how to explain it but I would think more about my son Instead of Sun, who at the time I hadn't seen in 7 years but I got custody and things turned out OK...Good Lucy and great music were like a golden sunrise in the morning to which I saw a lot of after JGB shows. Then he was gone and more tears came. I feel bad for the people who never got to see jerry and only Dead shows. What a huge difference.
Augest West thank God to the amazing tapes and the technology we have today, with a little help from Lucy at the age of 23 I experienced what felt like time travel to a dead show right through my television, I know it's only a taste but I fully experienced the magic that's for sure, the music is timeless
@@Luminous-iLLusions thats the next best thing brother..
oh yeah lucky old sun for sure - glad it turned out ok for you - a dear dear friend of mine - Smilin Dave - turned me onto so much Dead love, he always used to sing that song. He passed in a snorkeling accident last year; everytime I hear it, I think about him rollin round heaven.

So many roads 7/23/95 I think it was it last concert ever. ThT makes me sad😞
Jerry would be 79 today.
25 yrs already.
Damn.
It's really never been the same
No it hasn't...we've had 9/11, covid, anarchy, wars...and the music nearly died...but we got to carry on...until we get to the other side and become angels ourselves if we earn our wings...I think J. Garcia did.
He plays and sings from his heart on this and those of us who are lucky enough to catch it, live with him in our hearts forever..thank you Jerry, you gave me love to share in the days between and ALWAYS.
There were days
And there were days
And there were days between
Summer flies and August dies
The world grows dark and mean
Comes the shimmer of the moon
On black infested trees
The singing man is at his song
The holy on their knees
The reckless are out wrecking
The timid plead their pleas
No one knows much more of this
Than anyone can see anyone can see
There were days
And there were days
And there were days besides
When phantom ships with phantom sails
Set to sea on phantom tides
Comes the lightning of the sun
On bright unfocused eyes
The blue of yet another day
A springtime wet with sighs
A hopeful candle lingers
In the land of lullabies
Where headless horsemen vanish
With wild and lonely cries, lonely cries
There were days
And there were days
And there were days I know
When all we ever wanted
Was to learn and love and grow
Once we grew into our shoes
We told them where to go
Walked halfway around the world
On promise of the glow
Walked upon a mountain top
Walked barefoot in the snow
Gave the best we had to give
How much we'll never know we'll never know
There were days
And there were days
And there were days between
Polished like a golden bowl
The finest ever seen
Hearts of Summer held in trust
Still tender, young and green
Left on shelves collecting dust
Not knowing what they mean
Valentines of flesh and blood
As soft as velveteen
Hoping love would not forsake
The days that lie between lie between
There were days
And there were days
And there were days between
Polished like a golden bowl
The finest ever seen
Hearts of Summer held in trust
Still tender, young and green
Left on shelves collecting dust
Not knowing what they mean
Valentines of flesh and blood
Still tender, young and green
Hoping love would not forsake
The days that lie between lie between
Oh boy, it makes my heart cry

I was introduced to this by Stephen Inglis' slack key version! 'Cut da Dead some slack'

Here we are again. Happy birthday Jerry.
Jerry these words ring true 2018 brother still holding true... Thanks Robert for all the magic you made happen when you put pen to paper.
As Phil said "achingly nostalgic". Great work filming this, preserved for all to set. The last Hunter/Garcia masterpiece
YEP !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Is it though?!?! This is something ive been researching some time for. The last song that garcia wrote. I figure its between this, liberty, and the rarer one believe it or not.
From my understanding the secret of their last song may have died with the late, great hunter. So we may never know the final composure
Now it's 28 years since a new live note from the sonic joy that was Jerry. was possible. Today I still miss him and am so grateful for the experience and the technology that brings him to me now
The last tune Hunter and Jerry wrote together. What a gift!!!!
The song and somber feel itself makes me cry. When I read the lyrics, it makes me cry. When I hear Jerry's fading voice it makes me cry. And when I hear his heart-wrenching guitar solo it breaks me. I end up in a river of tears and snot!
Robert Hunter’s indelible, haunting lyrics that envelope you in the space and time of a lifetime, and the majesterial melodic line and deeply soulful vocal interpretation by Jerry…it rarely got better than this. It burns with quiet fire.
truth
This song is such a fitting send off for such a mighty songwriting duo!! Such beautiful words and I agree with Hunter that Jerry sang it like a prayer!!
What a blessing it is to have these moments preserved forever
I remember in RFK 95 hearing this as my buddy was trying to talk to me. Turned to him and said can you STFU!!!! I'm trying to listen to this gem!!! Miss these times!!
I told a lot of people to shut t6fuck up especially during a good attics!!!!
So sad and so funny
What a great haunting song. Garcia/Hunter are being inducted into the Songwriters HOF. Justifiably deserved honor. This is one of many reasons why.
The contrasts in life, beautifully captured
Was at this show. I remember this song so intimately. It brought tears to my eyes when it flowed over me. I definitely got "Jerry-ed" in this song.
Magic Energy... These are the portal opening consciousness ranges of expression through music. In the future, it will be known that
"The Grateful Dead" were at the front and center of the human consciousness evolution... As the post ice age human batch here continues to evolve, hopefully, we will continue to shed our egos completely...
Gorgeous. Rest In Peace my friend. You are loved

Thanks for your comment.
Pure soul and emotion coming from Jerry and the band.
why did you leave us jerry? you were and are still loved by so many of us. dammit! I miss you.
God can only leave heaven so long. That's true but actually I figured it out tonight. It's in my comments on his and the first set. He vibrated every string. We are all a string. It's einstein's deepest theory- spooky string theory. Leave it to the leader of the dead to come liberate us by ringing all our bells. Don't worry. There is a grateful dead heaven. You'll go there and so will everyone you love. Am a two time death experience survivor from non-drug experiences: one time I went while living in a Tibetan monastery and one time in a barn. Both times I have seen the way and gone to heaven. It's real. It's not much different from here just entirely pure. Ya like this world is an extraction of it in a way. We try to recreate it here in a way. No animals though- only birds. Animals are people- all people are great beings win extraordinary powers. Never tire, never hunger, everyone works at something they love. Everyone is married to their one true love who frequently sits out this life and acts as our muse or guide. It's really something. From there anything is possible and the fro their of space is thrown open for travel. Remarkable really. Don't worry. He's God. I swear he is. He came and did a mission and did it perfectly.
@@veek.6463 Thank You
Missing you Fakir, mussing you Jerry ... your work, your art is living on... shine light on us all.
His singing in '94 was often stunning.
RIPeace Jerry! I can remember walking down the boardwalk in Mission Beach in San Diego after hearing he had passed. I felt soulless, tears streaming down my face. It seemed everyone I passed knew the reason, the why.
Oh my..the solo before the final verse. One of those moments that restructure the rest of my day.
A side effect unique to Jerry’s music? Been listening for 35 years and these little scraps of magic still have the juice.
Despite just one fumbled line, this is an incredibly tight, haunting, intriguing and delicious « Days Between » ! Wonderful !

... valentines of flesh and blood, as soft as velveteen - ----this has to be one of the top moments of garcia beauty - has to be!
I 'discovered' the Dead in 85 or 6 in Frankfurt Germany... via Workingman's Dead. Saw many shows after moving to California in 87. This is the only song that showed magic potential that was really never FULLY achieved. This is very close... sad to see Jerry so frail. But, Damn...the FEELING... RIP Jerry. Miss the twinkle.
....agree ... potential.... imagine how this song would have reached the performance heights of Wharf Rat, Morning Dew, Stella Blue, ...etc...and they were well on their way to that..... exploration takes time.
Bob has shown honor in exploring this with Dead & Co...but, it's full majesty is yet to be realized.... so far....it will come, somewhere, somehow, the reigns will be set free, and this song will cry aloud and deep as imaginable.
RIP MR. HUNTER AND MR. GARCIA
Never thought this song would be interrupted by two ads ... what a fucking shame people
Sweet piercing guitar, soothing melancholy vocals, forming a dreamy soundscape.
TYPICAL JERRY THOUGH !!!!!!
Jerry's goodbye song. I can feel his heart. I keep playing it over and over. Good job Lolo

Takes me right back to that time as if no time has passed at all.
All we ever wanted, was to live and learn and grow..

come on humanity, save the earth!
Hunter knew everything was winding down, but not all was lost, but limited time for all. Jerry knew it too. This is a beautiful, tragic song.
I love that line from his poem at the funeral:
You sang it like a goddamn prayer
So true. I love the way Robert could sense the end was nearing and nailed the fucking moment with grace. So many people try to be like they used to be as they age and can't accept it. But Robert and Jerry killed it with these later songs!!
Sooo bittersweet 💜🎶🎵💜
4 words I MISS YOU JERRY
Magnificent God blessed
And there where days, and there where days. . . .there where days unknown. . . .
A broken angel sings.... Rest in Peace, Hunter/Garcia.
Last Garcia, Hunter masterpiece...
YEP !!!
Always here for you...a long standing angel now...captain trips looking over from the other side...while he was here in the days between (8/1/42-8/9/95) there was love, wasn't there?...now beyond...and I'm just an old hippie with a guitar whose been on the road a very long time...ready to come home...Jerry's music led me to california in '19...now let's head home to hippieville Bend Oregon, shall we? Further on down the road...look over me like you did 3 years ago...my guardian angel J. Garcia...
I maybe crazy...just an old 61 year old sober cat on the ship of fools, so be it...but truth is what it is and it can't be denied...
thats so fuckin good
Holy s#¡t I miss Jerry!!!⚡️🌹⚡️
The blue of yet another day
fantástico, fantastic !!!!!!!!!!!!!
Love You Jerry!
wow this loud and awesome and yah
So profound and epic, so sad and a catharsis, of sorts. 38 years ago can seem like only a few yesterdays ago, everything changed as much as it has stayed the same. Gone but not forgotten.
BRAVO jERRY!! fUCKIN' BEAUUUUTIFUL!!!!!
OMG....Amazing,
Finest ever seen... days between ~ forever, velvet memories
YES REMINDS ME OF MY LATE WIFE !!!
Encapsulated all of it. Hunter/Garcia
I was at this show. ❤❤🎉
Oh my lord! 😢😢😢
I still can't believe he was able to remember so many lyrics...and under the influence
I swear to God, if i'm having a boy one day, he's name will be Hunter Garcia
who thought the 80's/90/s we would look back and say remeber when.....
30 years > Hunter > Garcia > Days Between > Heads = Everything sacred~ past and present and onward is here....
i dig.
💜🧡💙💚
AWW, JEEZE!!!
A magic song, strong performance. Looking back in retrospect, and looking at Jerry's obvious physical deterioration and knowing he would be gone a year later, one can get pretty cosmic and sad about this, rightly. But as a musical moment in time, it is a strong performance musically and vocally, no? If he had been healthy at the time and lived another 25 years or more, we'd just be saying "great performance of a great tune!"
Happy Birthday Jerry!!
That first line though:
Summer flies and August dies
The world grows dark and mean.
(I'm a sap for loss of innocence motifs)
So sad and so good simultaneously
Fucking beautiful
Damn this ones really scaring me shitless
the wreath of shining laurel lie
upon your shaggy head
bestowing power to play the lyre
to legions of the dead
If some part of that music
is heard in deepest dream,
or on some breeze of Summer
a snatch of golden theme,
we’ll know you live inside us
with love that never parts
our good old Jack O’Diamonds
become the King of Hearts.
I feel your silent laughter
at sentiments so bold
that dare to step across the line
to tell what must be told,
so I’ll just say I love you,
which I never said before
and let it go at that old friend
the rest you may ignore.
that's a good one there
Rip
damn i miss jerry !
Even a barely coherent Jerry playing sloppily doesn’t diminish the haunting beauty of this. In fact it may even enhance it. I had been at Riverport for the previous night’s show. Regret missing this one.
exactly. amen.

does love, like tarnish iron, get a little green, then just disapear?
One of the very few songs they did that was an old sailors song and only done maybe two times in their 30 years.
I'm sorry bud, but this is not an old sailor's tune. Its one of the last great Hunter/Garcia masterpieces. Lyrics written by Hunter, music by Garcia. And it wasn't even performed until the last few years of Jerry's life, so they didn't have close to 30 years to perform this gem. Not trying to be critical; just trying to educate. Much love
This is seriously crazy. I have been looking at spooky string theory tonight. I realized those lucky number 11:11 is pointing to that. It's IIII. I started thinking about how spooky string works and instantly my mind went to Days: "there were days, and here were days, and there were days between. That's the 1111. I just posted that on the first set and come here to find Lolo has just outed it in the comments. I am a bit overwhelmed.
There were days 11 and there were days 11 and there were days between : It's the space between the strings science is trying to figure out. This is fascinating to me. Garcia never lets me down.
Vee K. 11:11 is the lightworkers call , once you realize this there is no turning back, synchronicity, I’m not a new age fruitloop either !
@@davidjacuk4286 Old school fruit loop.🤣
