    Today I'll talk to you about some of the less obvious functions on the 245t, such as the "analog" input, stage select gate it and start / stop.

    Another fun way to think about the 245T's analog input is as a quantizer. A very, very weird 4 channel one, with custom scales of 5 notes or fewer. (oh duh you've JUST said that in the video, here I thought I was being smart)

      Hahaha indeed that's one of the funniest (yet very hard to tune) way to use it ;-)

    I really like the analog in for stage select. Like the phase-driven sequencing in Bitwig or using Phasor in Max/msp. I feel it's the most natural way to drive a sequencer. I just discovered these techniques and I want to implement those in an actual module, maybe with schmitt triggers.

      Interesting ! Happy to try that module if need any beta testers let me know ;-)

    The cv input on the Voltage Block I’m assuming is influenced by the analog input.

    Why is using a sequencer as a sequencer not the best use for it?

    • @Stazma
      @Stazma  Před 7 měsíci

      I meant to say as a « note sequence » and because I think the 245 are better to modulate other parameters of a sound such as timbre or lengths.

      wi@@Stazmawith four banks it's very versatile. Pitch, filter freq, FM modulation index and panning...at once.
      One thing i used to do at CalArts was use it to control it's own pulse generator and set up the steps so it cuts it's frequency in half a few times (think half note/quarter/eight/16th - then advance the sequnecer using the analog input, but do it with a stepped random that is in sync with the pulser.
      Instant random rhythms.

      Lovely patch idea I'll give it a try. I do love to use one lane to control the width of the pulser to get different hold time with 281, makes funky things. By the way are you the man behin PlanB ? @@PeterGrenader

      @@PeterGrenader niiice! Fun to have you here. I remember being in the hunt for one of your timbral gate back when I started eurorack, couldn’t find one and ended up finding the QMMG I still have now. Will check out your new modules then ;-)
