It very difficult not to wish your life away. I'm wait to die so I can meet my maker. I'm 42 and I find life different I don't remember a time when it wasn't so. It very difficult not to give up on life on earth completely and just wait for God to call us home. I know it not the right attitude at all but nothing really make me happy nothing expect God.
Pastor Dennis Pollock on CZcams said that God enables us to repent by the gospel and the Holy Spirit, but... He won't do the repenting for you. So why do I feel so hopeless in repenting of my sin? I do not feel the power of the Holy Spirit and it feels like I am just using my willpower and failing to hate sin. It is almost like God saying 'You have the ability to do so, so choose to hate sin with your free will that I gave you or go to hell.' Even Calvinism does not seem as hopeless as this. At least with Calvinism, God changes your heart and you will obey and you will not be able to refuse even with your free will.
Nakedness, as you can see, is always portrayed in shameful manner. This is why it is doubtful that sexual intercourse within marriage is an illustration of Jesus's marriage to the church. The non-erotic parts of marriage are the illustration of Jesus's love which is agape love, but not eros. Men and women do not marry or remain married in heaven not because earthly marriage is only an illustration of the marriage to Jesus, but because it involves nakedness and sexual intercourse. Of course, God had to temporarily allow nakedness in order to produce the amount of peoples He intended for to exist. It is no wonder why erotic immorality is such a severe sin. If you show your non-erotic love for your spouse to another man or woman, it does not matter, and it is even commanded to love other people. This is because God’s love is agape, not eros. Husbands and wives are supposed to be devoted to each other in agapsin love, and this love can be had with the same or opposite sex and within and outside of marriage.
