- We have been thrilled about exploring Canada since first learning about the Loop a year ago, and today it's time to see if our preparation holds up! Before leaving the U.S. we have one more site to check out, Boldt Castle. Boldt Castle has a heartbreaking story. Originally it was architected and designed on Heart Island as a homage to Bold's wife, but unfortunately, she passed away during construction and all progress was halted, and the island was abandoned.
After touring Boldt Castle we cruise to Rockport to check in!
Thanks for watching!
Cheers from the Loop,
Jennifer and Elliot

ABOUT US
Hi! We are high school sweethearts from Atlanta, Georgia who decided to take a year off to travel around the world. Together we decided to create vlogs for our journey as a fun way to remember it. On September 15, 2019, we left Atlanta with 3 bags, 2 one-way tickets, and 1 goal of traveling for a whole year. Little did we know, 6 months later we would find ourselves in a nationwide lockdown in India. After spending 5 months in India, we came back to the United States and decided to purchase a 34’ Trawler, dive headfirst into boat life, and kick-off America’s Great Loop.
The good, the bad, the ugly - and most importantly, the real and real funny. We’re not here to tell you “how it’s done.”, just how we’ve done it. And that whatever it is that’s calling you - the way you’ll do it is much more attainable than it may seem.
Thank you for following us along our journey!

Thank you for watching! This video was filmed on July 14th.
I worked in Belleville, ON from 1983 through 1986 and, having married a woman from Trenton, I go back often- mostly to Kingston now. I used to frequently charter sailboats out of Olympic Harbor and spend magical weekends in the Thousand Islands. More often than not, we would spend the nights tied to a buoy in the Admiralty islands. Beau Rivage was one of our favorites. Fond memories in this video!
WOW!!! That water is GORGEOUS! 😍 So stoked to see more of an area of Canada we have yet to visit. The Florida Keys to Canada…beyond proud of y’all ❤
My husband and I spend 8 weeks up at the 1000 Islands. It truly is magical. We have been going there for 34 years and this is where he proposed to me. It was so cute to see you guys get so excited about it. ❤️
Welcome to Canada!!! Cant wait to see you reaction with some of the locks on the Trent Severn.
Well done you two crazy kids!
I grew up outside of Syracuse, NY and in my youth traveled around the upstate and Thousand Islands. You guys are the first Loopers to stop and record your travels along the Erie Canal. It was nice to see little towns with restaurants and festivals. Can't forget to mention Ollie.
Congratulations on making it to Canada. Enjoy the Ride
Drove tour boats out of Rockport for 5 yrs and then worked out of Kingston for 12 yrs. Acapt. from Kingston is doing the Loop from here this year. Safe trip and Welcome to Canada
Wow. Gorgeous water! Can't wait to visit there
Its been a while, But ive been to the castle and over that bridge. The Thousand Islands is no less amazing now
We have been on the water on the Canadian side many times in a rented 16 footer out of Gananoque. As such, and as we are not the best mariners we avoid the main channel and keep to the small bays and passages between the islands - they are magical. One passage near Smugglers Cove is between two islands, one of which is called whirlpool island. You can see the small pools and eddies. If you can , make sure you see Half Moon bay, the big boat will not navigate it but the tender will. I also suggest you visit Muskie Jake’s lounge in the Gananoque Inn. Also Kingston has some great Brew Pubs. You will remember this trip for years, the 1000 Islands is a true wonder. But the River can get very unfriendly when the wind gets nasty. Watch your charts too, many shoals.
Welcome to 🇨🇦.. An exciting video... Enjoying your excitement. . Looking forward to the videos...🇨🇦🇨🇦
Canada is a beautiful place to visit and cruise the clear waters. Glad y'all finally made it to Canada. Jen sure knows how to work those ropes when docking. 🤠
Great content guys love everything you guys do
Welcome to Canada. Can’t wait to see your footage of our local cruising area in Georgian bay and the north channel.
Congrats on this milestone! You guys are doing great!
So exciting to make it to Canada! Great video…so much beauty along the St. Lawrence River! Safe travels❣️
Love your excitement over traveling from Key West, FL to Canada. Quite an accomplishment. You guys have learned and experienced so much!!!
Love your videos, thousand islands is beautiful. I never had an urge to do the loop, but after watching your videos i'm starting to think about it. I finally broke down and bought some nice headphones, i never realized the quality of your background music. You really pay great attention to every detail of the video. Thank you again for the time and effort you put into this.
