I always get so overwhelmed by other planners on CZcams because of how full and fancy their planners are! This video highlights how you can utilize space even if you don’t have a ton going on. Thank you April :)
Not going to lie, I’ve been binge watching the channel, not to discredit your other channel, it’s awesome, I love seeing all the things. But for me & my application process, “decor” = panic / chaos. I found when I start getting into the decorative verses function I’m like an addict n I go way over board then NOTHING works for me. I’m one of “those” either or but can’t mix. If I want to function, I must function… same with decorative, if I decorate, I ONLY decorate n it functions zero for me. I love with you as a creator, when I need my “decorative fix” I can pop over to your other channel n “ooooo /aaahhhhh” over how beautiful it is, but I think right now in my life, I need to hang more here to have my planner “work for me” as opposed to me “working for it”. Hope that makes sense, to anyone 😂 I know I ramble a lot sorry in advance-ISH.

This one is like my regular weekly layout. I’ve tried others but this works for my brain better. I’m always decorating with pens, markers ( because I like to doodle) plus stickers washi and images cut from magazines and junk mail. It’s so fun! I love the bunting idea👍

I would love more ideas on how to use different color pens to make a layout look decorative without needing all the washi and stickers because I have a bunch of pens and I feel like I’m not getting the best use out of them, if that makes sense? I love these ideas so much! I definitely do the different pen points and fonts in my planner, it’s so fun and I think it looks nice. Thank you so much April, I definitely enjoyed this video! YES!!! Right?? Okay, I feel the same! I buy alllllllll the colored pens and I feel like they get neglected. But I feel like a rainbow week is awesome ... what about a mermaid week? OOOH ... a tinkerbell themed week ??!! Okay, now I am getting some ideas! Look at us!! I love that we get to draw inspiration from one another!! I love how just changing the font, gives a different look to this layout. I ran out of my favorite washi tape pattern, so I borrowed from (I think it was one of your videos), and just drew in a small area of "washi tape". I'm having so much fun doing planning frugally. YES!! Doodling washi tape is such a cool tidbit, especially if you don't have what you really want, but have the pen or marker that matches!! I am in awe that you tried it and very humbled!! If you are ever on the West Coast, let me know and we will meet up for dinner. I am always up for a trip to the coast!! The Oregon coast is amazing! There's whale watching, the weather is completely unpredictable and watching the STORMS is one of my favorite things! I and sending you all the salty air vibes this week!! 🐡🦦🦈
Thank you for showing how to do planning without spending LOTS of $$$$. Over the years I, and probably a lot of other people have been dragged into trying new shiny, glitzy planners, pens and washi that we end up not using or tossing out and buying something else that's newer and better six months down the line. My favorite planner and the one I stuck with the longest was a converted composition book that I decorated myself and I went through several before I was coerced into to 'dark side'. I'm planning on going back. Thank you so much for giving me so many ideas..
