I still find it hilarious that the title Kramer gave it is "Nya Becomes Water". It's like the most blatantly simple description of what happens and all the memes that happened when the episode came out don't help. It kind of works in its simplicity, but it's also funny to say out loud.
its especially funny given how intimate and emotional the track is, just to have such a silly name
I found it funny as well… I had an audio edit of the track I’d attempted to make saved as “One with the Sea”, that comparison only made the actual title of the track funnier lol
i think its supposed to reference season 5, where Wu tells Nya to be one with the water

The first half of this cue will definitely remain one of the most unique and cinematic pieces of ninjago's soundtrack. Literally nothing in the series sounds similar in terms of atmosphere and instrumentation choice. It combines electronic things for the aquatic atmosphere with one of the oldest instruments in the world which has the established role of representing very important mystical things in the series, in this case the sort of entity that the sea is, coming back as she jumps off the roof in the next episode. I can't tell what the first melody on duduk is if it's meant to be anything in particular (at the beginning), but the two others are the master of water theme when she exits the door and then the yin-yang promise when she mouths "I love you". It feels like the equivalent of her life flashing before her, similar to Zane's memory montage in that aspect, but it's done in a less obvious way that feels even more impactful.
God I love Nyad. Such a powerful episode, you're right about the flashing before her eyes bit, I can totally see that having happened

The last to eps are 4 of the best ninjago has to offer
Still waiting for a lot of other Seabound tracks, because this season's soundtrack is insane. This one alone proves that, Jay and Michael never disappoint

@@papersparrow899 She’s the reason ninjas became a team, and also gf on jay, sister of kai. Zane is a important friend, just a friend and also family. But nya’s more important. Zane didnt got rebuilt, he just got his skin torn off. And nya’s was more intense, because of being melting down, being frozen, difficult way to cross for help.
@@AbedAnimsX While you may see that, I believe that Zane's sacrifice also had an impact.
In 2014, many fans were possibly younger during the rebooted era for Ninjago, and Zane was a favorite character, seeing him die felt different for them,
He's even a nindroid, one that was meant "to protect those who can't protect themselves." The reveal of him being a robot even answers why to the others, he acted weird. (Like laughing at a drama show or staying in the fridge and eating there.)
He even gives off MegaMan X vibes.
For Nya, it was surprising that she went from being Samurai X to being the master of water, only for it to be revealed that her element isn't part of the original elements.
Her sacrifice was also sad, that she had to be part of the water for it to be calm, at the cost of Jay losing his lover, and for Kai, losing the sister he swore to protect since the pilot.
Both of their sacrifices have impacts for the series, such as Zane having a statue of himself for example,
And both are heartbreaking, so that's what I could say, God bless you.
(I forgot about her death in Skybound.)
This soundtrack captures the beauty of Nya and Jay’s relationship and how powerful the element of water can be. This soundtrack is one of the many reasons why Seabound is my favorite season from Ninjago! 🌊

One of thhe greatest ninjago tracks out there. I WISH it was on spotify!!! I love love love Seabound, and i love how it matches with Jays skybound. This scene was so great, especially with nyas turn back to say "i love you" to Jay one last time, and that being the 1st time she actually said it i think?? Because she knows that merging cant be undone. This is one of the BEST scenes in ninjago and i stand by that.

This is one of the most unique pieces in the show, and it goes along with one of the most unique scenes. I love the little doo doo doo doo sound. This episode had so many emotions in it, and I found it to be one of the darkest. I mean, the ninja have been close to death before, but something about Jay struggling to breath and coughing in the background felt so much harsher and realistic. And Nya sacrificing her humanity to save her city and her friends just... wow. I was always impressed by how perfectly this piece captures the emotions and events in this episode. It was a beautiful finale to the season, triumphant but saturated with the pain of loss. It's amazing. Thank you so much for uploading.

I've been watching Ninjago as a kid since the first season released, and then stopped watching after season 11
Then I finally decided to watch the hole series, and just finished season 14 ten minutes ago. I had been spoiled that Nya sacrifices herself at some point, so I slowly saw it coming and started crying during episode 15 of this season, I've now been crying for 30 minutes...
Seeing a character I've known for 12 years suddenly go is absolutely heartbreaking...

everytime i rewatch this scene i am reminded of how both beautiful and sad it is. The pure emotion that this scene made me feel really bought this series to light and i love it so much.
