- Join us for a week in Rincon Puerto Rico, meeting locals and learning what it's really like to live there, travel vlog style.
We'll tour you through our charming Airbnb studio at Mango Mountain with its gorgeous ocean view, show you some beaches around town, and introduce you to some awesome locals living in Rincon, including Natalia, the owner of Rincon Mail.
Natalia will share what it's like to live there full time, including safety, surfing, traffic, lifestyle, real estate, and home prices. We'll also discuss the kind of people who live in Rincon, how they feel about mainlanders, and how it compares to living in the San Juan metro area.
Then we'll take you with us to some of our favorite restaurants around the area, including Cafe 413, The Beach House, Casa Islena, and The English Rose. Always in search of foodie waterfront dining, several of these restaurants have fantastic ocean views and delicious, healthy meals.
We also meet up with Cassie, Britton, and Aeden from CZcams Channel LifeTransPlanet, pick up some random new friends who just happen to be free that day, and go on a little local adventure with an easy hike to neighborhood waterfall and swimming hole, Ultimo Brinco.
Then we go on to see a favorite local's beach, where you'll find the Bote Millan, with its gorgeous, sandy beach views. Afterward, we move on to drinks and appetizers at the beachfront Villa Cofresi, another favorite local watering hole.

I’m from San Sebastián and there is nothing like the west. I love the drive from Isabela all the way down to Cabo Rojo. My best memory of Rincon is spending time with the family at El Faro and watching the surfers on a windy day. Thanks for sharing. Enjoy
Beautiful Puerto Rico 🇵🇷 “ Isla del Encanto “ “The enchanted Island” my experience in Rincón was short in 10 days but while I was there.. I did a lot but again I was born there and left when I was 13 yrs old. Parents decision for a better life (support a big family of 6 ) There are a lot of hidden gems & beautiful areas in PR and Rincón happens to be where a lot of people from the mainland choose to visit bc everyone speaks the most English. it’s a very touristy area.. I stepped away from the tourist area and in that area everything is a bit over price compare to others away from Rincón and Aguada area ..I went to visit a Hacienda where the locals are also very welcoming as well.. We always have be aware that Tourism is great for the island Bc it helps our economy but at the same time it’s hurting the island bc a lot of the from main islanders are buying our properties and the cost of the properties are going sky high.. the locals are not able to afford anything.. I thank God we have our property still that our parents left us and I am returning to go live back after retirement.. Bc that where my passion is .. I will never outgrow my “Isla del Encanto”. 🇵🇷👋 Thank you for showing the beauty of PR 👋🇵🇷

As I always say… island living, accepted for what it is, and not for what it isn’t, enjoy the good, such as the welcoming locals, the weather, the scenery, the food…and you will certainly be able to deal with the bad. Rincon was my favorite when I visited Puerto Rico. I'm an artist, and that city has that artsy vibe that I loved. The locals were super friendly. Here's hoping to returning soon ♥️

Nice chill video. What I miss the most is the sound of the breeze hitting the palm trees. Rincón i am sure is really cool and safe but always be aware of safety. Hate to say but a tourist vacationing with his family was killed by a man that tried to rob the Airbnb house. I think it was rincón a few years ago. So always make ur safety a priority bc although rare, sometimes u see some crazy things. I grew up in San Juan. Have only visited rincón twice ( a cousin owns an apt there). Have been in the nyc/Nj area for 30 years but visit the island every year.

Thanks for posting this video about Rincon. Rincon has been my wife and I happy place for the last year and a half. We have a property Playa Corcega. We are planing to open a small hotel later this year. Great video!
I love and respect people who come to Puerto Rico willing to become part of the community, including learning the language. I dislike people who come to the island and isolate themselves from the mainstream. Real Estates prices in Puerto Rico are all subjective; look at the prices in Hawaii!!!! Hawaii has NOTHING on Puerto Rico; There IS no good food in the Hawaii period; there are too many hobos all over the island of Hawaii; Puerto Rico has a powerful cultural identity compared to Hawaii. Lastly, Hawaii is in the middle of nowhere!!! And too commercialized.
