Is there a trick for getting the H nuts to sit in correctly when attaching the two sides to the headboard? I tried for hours last night.

After watching this video several times I put the bed together by myself in about 45 minutes. The new model doesn't have dowel pins.

Good question. I have not yet transform it into a full size bed. I suppose you would have to buy an extension

So me and my wife are having trouble keeping the nut to stay on the top part of step 3 idk if you guys had some issues with that

Yes I think the Ikea furnitures are easier and more straightforward to install. We found that the way to install this crib is sometimes odd and challenging.
