Recently discovered your channel. I'm addicted. I'm binge watching to catch up. I enjoyed this video too and was glad to see the ghost town of Cerro Gordo among the mentions. Brent, who now owns the ghost town, has an awesome youtube channel. He has done some amazing things with this property. Thanks for taking us along on this ride.
I love Brent’s channel. So glad you found us!!! Lots more coming soon!!
Excellent video as always. A few local to Idaho worth considering are Bay Horse located close to Challis, Virginia City Montana, Custer and Bonanza located along the Custer motorway between Challis and Sunbeam. Don't miss the gold dredge of JR Simplot along this trail.
Virginia city is on my list. Sooo much linked ID/MT history there.
Ghost towns and abandoned mines are my favorite things to visit while out on trips, so this is a very useful video for adding some places to my to-do list.
Although your color grading made me look really sunburnt, which I don't appreciate! Lol.
Whoops....I blame your iphone...and myself for not remembering to un-red your face.
Another great collaboration all! Bodie has always been on my list but after this the list just got a lot longer lol
My list got longer after this one too!
Super fun video! Thanks for letting me be a part of it!
Great section on the mansion!
@@Venture2Roam Thanks dude!
Great job! This was a really fun collaboration!
Loved your section on the ruins..I want to go there now..in the daylight.
I actually saw silver city on one of your you tube videos and drove up there from Utah and went and saw it. My kids loved it.
That's so cool to hear. It's still one of my absolute favs!
Will! How much fun was that!? Thanks for putting this together. I feel like all I want to do while overlanding is explore creepy stuff like this. Maybe a ghost town or old west cemetery trip is in order! And @allthingsoverlanding Fletch! I drove through Elletsville on my way home from Overland the Red yesterday... wish I had watched this beforehand! (P.S. I like your shirt!)
This one was probably my favorite collab so far...I really want to do another one of these...ghost towns part 2..because we just scratched the surface I think.
Loved seeing all the cool places in this vid Will.

Your section was so good dude.
That was very cool man!! Definitely need to visit some of these places!! Thanks Will for putting this together!! J & C
Thanks for watching...there are a few one places on my list after making this vid!
Great video gents! Definitely interested in visiting Centro Gordo one of these days
Same here. We should go together.
Such a cool video. I've seen a few of them before one way or another but definitely not all of them. Would love to see the ones up in Idaho and the church ruins in Carolina would make for some awesome pics with the right weather conditions.
I'm hoping to do a follow up to this one...we missed Utah, Colorado, New Mexico, Arizona..so many cool places there too.
Really enjoyed Silver City as my first stop on my September trip. Plus I volunteer at Cerro Gordo!
That’s so cool!
Great video Will and I know that you know that we love this collab videos . So entertaining and educational. Keep them coming.

Thanks for watching!
Great collaboration video! We love exploring ghost towns. There were some great ones on this list 👍
Thanks for taking the time to watch. There are a ton we didn’t cover, but that just means we’ll have to do a part 2!
Loved it! Thanks for asking us to participate in this one. We’re going to have to ‘Venture’ to some of the others nearby!
Bodie is so cool. It’s on the top of my list for places to see.
Great job Will and everyone else involved. Sometime I’d love to check out a few in Southern California.
Thank you sir! I want to get out to some of these as well.
Hi, I just found your channel by chance. Thanks for the very nice video & Regards from Ody Slim
I’m so glad you found us!! Thank you for the kind words.
Great video! We just did Bayhorse and Silver City last month on our Owyhee/Magruder trip. Loved Silver City👌 We did Irwin in Wyoming last year and that one is amazing!
I’ll have to take a look at Irwin! We’re considering some Wyoming trips next year.
@@Venture2Roam Irwin is amazing and a really fun drive. You won’t be disappointed!! You can also see the remnants of the house Amelia Earhart was building before her plane disappeared. I’ll message you on IG with a couple of pics🙂👍
I enjoyed the video a bunch. History always a cool
Thing
Thank you!!
Great collab.
Thank you!!
I loved this video, could've watch for hours. Won't be getting to any of those destinations from Australia but we do have plenty similar old mining towns here that I have ventured into several of and explored in the old buildings and tunnels. Ghost towns are off the itinerary now as my wife has been known to bring some unwelcome guests home.
Whoa…really? Like she brings ghosts with her??
@@Venture2Roam Yep. Brought home a young man from a party we'd been to in another state. Turned out he had died in a rural car accident. We went back there and she navigated to the exact location with no knowledge. That was a traumatic few weeks.
@@davewain363wow. That’s absolutely terrifying.
@@Venture2Roam She knows how to deal with them and helps them cross over. I don't see the spirits - only her emotions. Though there was one night she wasn't home and there was a knock at the door at 2 in the morning. That freaked me out but I knew not to open it because that is inviting them in.
Cool video.
Thanks!
First!!! Go Will go!!!
🙌🙌
Go to Elk Horn Mountain there is a ghost town there. We stopped to camp there on our way to Alaska this summer.
Elk Horn Mountain in which state?
@@Venture2Roam I will send you coordinates in Instagram
Shouldn't we be giving a tag or link to Brent at Cerro Gordo? His town and great videos!
I didn’t do any tagging or linking on this vid. Lots of orgs involved with these places though.
