History of the Scythians: an Ancient Nomadic Culture

  • The Scythians were a nomadic culture that flourished between the seventh and the third centuries BCE, as their territory expanded from Thrace in the west across the Central Asian Steppe (a steppe is basically just an open swathe of grassland), to the Altai mountains in Mongolia. Their name comes from the Greek “to shoot” as they were known for their skill in archery. Even their cousins, the Parthians--also famous mounted archers--were influenced by the Scythians.
What we understand about the Scythians has been built on the foundation of archaeological finds, especially since they left no written texts or records. Other than the archaeological trail of the Scythians, we also have texts surviving from the ancient world at the time they flourished, namely Akkadian cuneiform tablets and the writings of Herodotus. Since the Scythians were nomads, moving around regularly on horseback in tribes unlike most other ancient cultures in the first millennium BCE, they didn't leave any cities or settlements. The places where we find the most evidence of the Scythians is in their burial mounds known as kurgans, which were monumental burials for the elite of Scythian society.

The Maykop culture arose from a meeting and mixing of Zagrosian/Iranian farmers and Caucasian hunter-gatherers. The Proto-Indo-Europeans originated with the Yamna culture people (3300-2500 BC). and migrated to Central Europe and created the Corded Ware culture,

In Late Antiquity and the Middle Ages, the name "Scythian" was used in Greco-Roman and Byzantine literature for various groups of nomadic "barbarians" living on the Pontic-Caspian steppe who were not related to the actual Scythians such as the Huns, Goths, Ostrogoths, Turkic peoples, Pannonian Avars, Khazars and Slavs. For example, Byzantine sources referred to Russian raiders attacking Constantinople in AD 860. in contemporary accounts as "Tauroscythians" because of their geographical origin, and despite their lack of ethnic relationship to the Scythians. The Scythians were part of the wider Scytho-Siberian world, which spanned the Eurasian steppes of Kazakhstan, the Russian steppes of the Siberian, Ural, Volga and southern regions, and eastern Ukraine. In a broader sense, the Scythians have also been used to denote all early Eurasian nomads, although the validity of such terminology is controversial, the Scythians, Saka and Cimmerians were closely related nomadic Iranian peoples, and the ancient Babylonians, the ancient Persians and the ancient Greeks used respectively the names "Cimmerian", "Saka" and "Scythian" for all the steppe nomads,
The Mongoloid (Proto-Turkic) peoples in the Altai Mountains embraced Iranic Scythian culture (horsemanship, nomadic way of life, traditions, clothing) and mixed with the Scythians to form their own unique Iranic-Mongoloid.

In Hungarian, the word "ANIMAL" had several meanings until the 19th century. It also meant the word animal, but it also meant the state of something. In folk songs, the antlers of the stag reach up to the sky and are covered with the light of shining stars, candles or the sun. The magnificent stag connects heaven and earth. Shamans wear deer antlers because they have a stronger connection to the sky than other people. This tradition appears not only among the Scythians but also among the Celts. czcams.com/video/O3PsiRtaJec/video.html time 9:00.
In the video below, a Hungarian folk prayer is sung, asking for God's blessing, and in the lyrics the miraculous deer appears, and one of the singers gestures to the miraculous deer with his hand. Descendants of Scythian rattling sticks can also be seen in use. The Scythian rattles often feature a stag. czcams.com/video/fNgz69lqW4E/video.html time 1:19.

The Scythians managed to avoid a direct confrontation with the Persian army due to their mobile lifestyle and lack of any settlement (except Gelonus), while the Persians suffered losses due to the Scythians' scorched earth tactic. However, the Persians conquered much of their cultivated lands and damaged their allies, forcing the Scythians to respect the Persian force. Darius halted the advance to consolidate his gains, and built a defence line.

This is going to be a long comment but it'll give you some actual sources from Persian side of the story and make things clear
Unfortunately Herodotus writings overshadows the Achaemenid sources
The information these Achaemenid sources provide us are the opposite of what Herodotus claims
Sometimes small details can give us a lot of information
I'm analysing based on all sources during the reign of the Achaemeinids
      The Achaemeinid ones included
For example take a look at their inscriptions
The ones made by Darius and Xerxes
Unlike what Herodotus says, according to Darius inscriptions and the carvings on the entrances of his and Xerxes tombs, his Scythian campaign in Europe was successful since he chased them away from his borders, burned a Scythian city which was one of the tribes capital and conquered parts of their lands which is north of the black sea
Plus an Achaemenid inscription and a fort were found there and if I'm not mistaken and remember correctly, the inscription was about a Persian victory over the Ionian Greeks
As if it was sent there to inform a satrap
There are Scythians who are referred to as Overseas Saka on those carvings and they're among the people under the Achaemenid rule
It's the Scythians north of the black sea which as you can see on many Achaemeinid maps, it's part of their empire
So between the sources of the Achaemeinids which were recorded during the reign of the king who fought them and a biased Greek who was writing all of these decades after those kings death and had something against the Persians, i'm gonna trust the Achaemeinids on this one
There are evidence of Scythian people being conquered by the Achaemeinids in Persian inscriptions and carvings as i mentioned
In the inscriptions they are named as :
      1-Saka Haumavarga
      2-Saka Tigraxaudā
      3-Oversea/Beyond the sea Saka
The last one clearly means the Scythians in Europe if you just take a look at the maps
There are also Scythian subjects in Persepolis carvings who are offering gifts to the king of kings
      The ones with pointy hats
Achaemeinids didn't even try to conquer all of Scythian lands nor going deep into it because there wasn't anything there that would benefit them like was in Egypt, Indus valley or Lydia
They didn't even want to stay at Gelonus after capturing it which could be a great stronghold deep into the Scythian land
      Instead, they rased the city
They had already conquered the strategic Scythian lands in the southern Scythia
Their clashes with the Scythians was over strategic positions like control over rivers, chasing them away from their borders or subduing and preventing them to attack the main land or making them protect the empire's borders from other Scythians
We can see Scythian subjects not only on the carvings on Persepolis but other inscriptions as well
For example, the DB Behistun inscription of Darius I (circa 510 BCE) mentions the haoma drinking Scythians, the Scythians with pointed caps, the Scythians across the sea (Sakâ) and Chorasmia
These sources are not what can be easily ignored
They give us evidence of Persian rule in Scythian lands both in Europe and central Asia
Not to mention that aside from superior numbers, the Achaemenids had every battle troops necessary to deal with Scythians
Heavy cavalry, light cavalry, horse archers, foot archers, heavy and light infantry spearmen, javelin throwers and slingers
Many settled Iranians such as Persians and Medians who had defeated the Scythians before, during the reign of Cyaxares the great, were familiar with nomadic battle tactics since they themselves were nomads before and some still were
All this can only mean that unlike what the Greek records claim, the Scythian campaign of Darius the great was in fact totally successful

James Tod[25] writes that the tribes here alluded to are the Haihaya or Aswa, the Takshak, and the Jat or Getae; the similitude of whose theogony, names in their early genealogies, and many other points, with the Chinese, Tatar, Mogul, Hindu, and Scythic races, would appear to warrant the assertion of one common origin.
Professor B. S. Dhillon states that the Jats are mainly of Indo-Scythian lineage with composite mixing of Sarmatians, Goths & Jutes in History and study of the Jats.[26] Historian James Tod agreed in considering the Jats to be of Indo-Scythian Stock.[27] Moreover, Sir Alexander Cunningham, Former Director-General of the Archaeological Survey of India, considered the Jats to be the Xanthii (a Scythian tribe) of Scythian stock who he considered very likely called the Zaths (Jats) of early Arab writers.[28] He stated "their name is found in Northern India from the beginning of the Christian era." These people were considered by early Arab writers to have descended from Meds and Zaths.[29][30] Sir Cunningham believed that they "were in full possession of the valley of the Indus towards the end of the seventh century.[31]
Stephen Fuchs suggests that the Jats probably migrated from Central Asia to India as a "predatory nomadic tribe".[32] Natalya Romanovna Guseva considered the Jats to be the descendants of the Sakas.[33]
It has also been suggested that "the Rajputs proper were of mixed origin - pre-Muslim invaders such as Scythians, Bactrians, Parthians, Hunas and Gurjaras who came in before, say, the end of the 7th century."[34]
Sir Alexander Cunningham, (Former Director-General of the Archaeological Survey of India) wrote: The Xanthii (a Scythian tribe) are very probably the Zaths (Jats) of the early Arab writers. As the Zaths were in Sindh to the west of the Indus, this location agrees very well with what we know of the settlement of the Sakas (Scythians) on the Indian frontier.[35]
Sir John Marshall, (Former Director-General of the Archaeological Survey of India) wrote: "These Scythian invaders came principally from the three great tribes of Massagetae (great Jats), Sacaraucae, and Dahae (still exists as a Jat clan of Punjab)[36], whose home at the beginning of the second century B.C. was in the country between the Caspian sea (sea) and the Jaxartes river (Central Asia).[37]
Arthur Edward Barstow wrote: "Greeks of Bactria (partly modern Afghanistan), expelled by the hordes of Scythians, entered India in the second and first centuries BC and are said to have penetrated as far as Orissa (an Indian province in south-east). Meanwhile the Medii, Xanthii, Jatii, Getae and other Scythian races, were gradually working their way from the banks of the Oxus (River valley in Central Asia) into Southern Afghanistan and the pastoral highland about Quetta (a Pakistani city), whence they forced their way by the Bolan Pass, through the Sulaiman Mountains into India, settling in the Punjab about the beginning of the first century AD. It is from these Scythian immigrants that most of the Jat tribes are at any rate partly descended."[38]
    A. H. Bingley wrote: "It is from these Scythian Immigrants that most of the Jat tribes are at any rate partly descended."[39]
Professor Joyce Pettigrew wrote: "Another view holds that the Jats came from Asia Minor and Armenia in the successive invasions during the period 600 B.C. to A.D. 600."[40]
Professor Henry Smith Williams wrote: "The extent of the Scythian invasion has been variously estimated. Some scholars believe that they virtually supplanted the previous population of India (means Punjab), and there seems little doubt that by far the most numerous section of the Punjab population is of Scythian origin."[41]
Professor Pritam Singh Gill wrote: "There is a general concensus of opinion that Jats, and with them Rajputs and Gujjars were foreigners who came from their original home, near the Oxus, Central Asia."[42]
Professor Tadeusz Sulimirski wrote: "The evidence of both the ancient authors and the archaeological remains point to a massive migration of Sacian (Sakas)/Massagetan ("great" Jat) tribes from the Syr Daria Delta (Central Asia) by the middle of the second century B.C. Some of the Syr Darian tribes; they also invaded North India."[43]
Horace Arthur Rose wrote: "Many of the Jat tribes of the Punjab have customs which apparently point to non-Aryan origin. Suffice it to say that both Sir Alexander Cunningham and Colonel Tod agreed in considering the Jats to be of Indo-Scythian Stock. The former identified them with the Zanthi of Strabo (Greek Geographer of the ancient times) and the Jatii of Pliny (Roman writer) and Ptolemy (Another Greek Geographer of the ancient times); and held that they probably entered the Punjab from their home on the Oxus (in Central Asia) very shortly after the Meds or Mands (still exist as one of the Jat clans of the Punjab), who also were Indo-Scythians, and who moved into the Punjab about a century before Christ."[44]
Sir Henry Miers Elliot wrote: "These ignorant tribes (Jats) pointing to the remote Ghazni (Afghanistan) as their original seat, the very spot we know to have been occupied by the Yuechi, or, as Klaproth says, more correctly, Yuti, in the first centuries of our era, after the Sakas (a Scythian tribe) were repelled back from the frontiers of India, and left the country between India and Persia open for their occupation. The Jat tribes not doubt emigrated, no at all once, but at different times, and it is probable that those in the North-West are among the latest importations."[45]
    I. Sara wrote: "Recent excavations in the Ukraine and Crimea. The finds points to the visible links of the Jat and Scythians."[46]
Sir Mountstuart Elphinstone Grant Duff wrote: "My conclusion, therefore, is, that the Jats may be of Scythian descent."[47]
Ujagir Singh Mahil wrote: "Jat were called Scythians; because they were the inhabitants of the ancient country of Scythia. The Jats who invaded the Punjab and conquered India up to Benares were called Indo-Scythians."[48]
James Francis Katherinus Hewitt wrote: "Further evidence both of the early history and origin of the race of Jats, or Getae, is given by the customs and geographical position of another tribe of the same stock, called the Massagetae, or great (massa) Getae."[49]
Sir George Fletcher MacMunn (Sir and Lt. General) wrote: "Alexander came to India in his capacity as the holder of the Persian throne. From his camp near Kabul (Afghanistan), the Macedonian (Alexander) summoned those chiefs whom Skylax (Persian general) had conquered in the old time afore, to come and renew their homage to their ancient Persian overlord in the person of himself. Several obeyed his summons, others did not, and it has been surmised that those who did were later arrivals, of Jat or Scythian origin, outside the normal Aryan fold as later comers to India."[50]
Syed Muhammad Latif wrote: "A considerable portion of the routed army of the Scythians settled in the Punjab, and a race of them, called Nomardy, inhabited the country on the west bank of the Indus (river). They are described as a nomadic tribe, living in wooden houses, after the old Scythian fashion, and settling where they found sufficient pasturage. A portion of these settlers, the descendants of Massagetae, were called Getes, from whom sprung the modern Jats."[51]
Dr. Gopal Singh wrote: "The Jats of the Panjab, are Scythians in origin and came from Central Asia, whose one branch migrated as far south in Europe as Bulgaria. "[52]
    N. Singh wrote: "The Scythians appear to originate from Central Asia. They reached Punjab between 50 B.C. and A.D. 50. It seems probable that the Scythian ancestors of the Jats entered the Sindh Valley (presently in Pakistan Kashmir) between 100 B.C. and A.D. 100."[53]
Satya Shrava wrote: "The Jats are none other than the Massagetae (Great Getae) mentioned in Diodorus as an off-spring of the ancient Saka tribe.... a fact now well-known."[54]
Bakhshish Singh Nijjar wrote: "The Jats are the descendants of Scythians, whose kingdom's capital was Scythia, in the present Ukraine (Ukrainian), Soviet Social Republic, is the constituent Republic of the European USSR (Population 49,757,000) in 1947. Now Ukraine's capital is Kiev, the third leading city in Russia. Before the invasion of the golden herd, 13th century B.C. Scythian, ancient kingdom of indeterminate boundaries, centered in the area north of the Black Sea."[55]
Rima Hooja suggests that the Jats are "probably descendants of the Scythians who entered India in early historical times".[56]

Thanks a lot for all your efforts, I appreciated, enjoyed your good documented video despite some wrong informations to be corrected:
    1. First of all, scythians were not red haired, they were ostrogoths mixed with scythians. Germanic visigoths, slavic ostrogoths were genetically different as also some descendants are still very different from scythian descendants. If we look at ydna of scythians and ostrogoths, ostrogoths have I2 ydna mostly in balkanic, ukrainian region (also we can realize their language as slavic easily) on the other hand scythians had R1a, R1b ydna (which is entirely different genetics) mostly in east and west euroasia. They had mostly brown hair and colored or brown eyes not red hair. Germanic visigoths had I1 ydna like their direct descendant Swedish people having mostly blonde hairs and blue eyes and slavic ostrogoths had I2 ydna like their direct descendant Jugoslavian people having partly red hairs and blue/green eyes.
    2. Scythians were not entirely speaking indoeuropean language. Even, their language is a strong mystery, we dont know their language directly. Their language is SUPPOSED TO BE iranic because relative Khotan language was iranic as a bactrian tribe (which are again genetically distinct from but mixed with persian, grecobactrian J2). If we look at their genetics, they may also have spoken turkic/altaic languages because of their altaian genetic ancestry. Especially Tsar scythians were speaking turkic language as well known. But again, turkic people also have mixed with mongolic C3 which is genetically distinct from altaian P1, R1a, R1b ancestors.
In conclusion, as a distinguished people their language is not exactly known. I think they may have spoken dene-yeniseian (new language family theory) languages originally. Native american, Yeniseian, North Caucasian, Elder Sumerian, Tyrrhenian, Vasconic people have spoken in history or are still speaking these agglutinative languages. (As a turkish man, I also had a doubt that we could may also have been speaking dene-yeniseian languages in history as Saka and Sumer descendants.)

Haplogroup U2 was identified in Russia in a 30,000-year-old Cro-Magnon. Scholars believe that this group, after migrating north, became the dominant lineage among the foragers who eventually settled in Central Asia and South Asia and became the Indo-Iranian groups.
The Maykop culture arose from a meeting and mixing of Zagrosian/Iranian farmers and Caucasian hunter-gatherers. The Proto-Indo-Europeans originated with the Yamna culture people (3300-2500 BC). and migrated to Central Europe and created the Corded Ware culture,
Zagrosian/Iranian people mixed with the native hunter-gatherers of the Caucasus, creating the Yamnaya people, they then migrated north and absorbed extra northern Eurasian hunter-gatherer DNA, creating the Slaves, Goths, Celts, and so on.
Sintashta and Andronovo are Indo-Iranian. Fatyanovo and Abashevo can be considered as Proto-Indo-Iranians. Fatyanovo represented the very beginning of the split of the Indo-Iranian people from the Corded Ware culture which eventually returned to Iran from the steppes.
The ancient Iranian peoples include the Alans, Bactrians, Dahas, Khwarazmians, Massagetae, Medes, Parthians, Persians, Sagarts, Sakas, Sarmatians, Scythians, Sogdians, and Cimmerians, among other Iranian-speaking peoples of Western Asia, Central Asia, Eastern Europe, and the Eastern Steppe.
History has preserved the names of some of them: Ishpakaia, Bartatua, Madyes, Idanthyrsus, , Skyles, Tigratavā , Octamasadas, Xāravalāna, Artavatauxma, Zarinaea, Sodasa, Sawarmag, Saurmag, and Zari- "golden". This was the name of a legendary Saka (Scythian) warrior queen. They are descended from what is called andronovo horizon they are Indo-Iranian horse nomads Iranians speaker, they have Iranian names.

Jatt and Jaats in North India are the descendants of Scythians.. They came all the way from Middle East Asia.. Now they’re inhabiting all around the world with different surnames.
Once upon a time Denmark was also known as JattLand.
Scythians are born talented at Martial Arts and Farming (Ploughing). They were mostly farmers, but also considered as the most bravest people out there; they also fought many battles with Mughals and other rulers such as Alexander the Great (328-27 BC), Taimur, Nadir Shah, Ahmad Shah Abdali, Mahmood Ghaznavi and Mohammad Gauri.
According to many historians there was a time when there was no one in Asia and Europe who would stand a ground against Scythians Jatts.
Once they also attacked on Greece and won Athens as well. They ruled Iran and Afghanistan for quite a long time, then they moved to Sindh (ruled 137 years) and North West India; they also won Scandinavia in 2000BC. The last ruler from Jatt Clan (Scythians) was Albaaroo of Spain in 10th century.
In this day and age, they are mostly named as Jatt, Jaat, Jot, Jateh, Goat, Goth, Gete, Jetti, Jette, Juti, Jut, Jattu according to the region.

I regard Scythian/Saka not social, political, or ethnic grouping. They were global spiritual and cultural phenomenon of nomad movement within Pan Eurasian steps and beyond in pre- historical millennium human interaction migration and evolution centered around human with horse mobility.
Thier commonality of life style, life/death views, Cosmology, spirituality had been phenomenal and vast. How vital that Horse mobility brought and created such vast common identical spirituality and culture before any world religions emerged in history. Thier interaction with animal world and animal related legends are so unique. Thier technology and artisanship with goldsmith and arsenals are extremely sophisticated though they left nothing kind of writing records and. huge architectural monuments. Behind all material remains, they demonstrated heroinsm, cosmic shamanism, highly spiritual brotherhood and ethical attitude of federal governance discipline without any power center of empire building.

Scythians (or Sakas) are a group of ancient tribes of nomadic warriors made up of various ethnic groups including Turks (protoTurks). Turks were most probably the ruling tribe despite they weren't possibly constituting the majority in this confederation just like the many other Turkish empires in history. In the ancient times and even today normadic people could/can speak several languages and people at those ancient times had no objection to mixing with the other ethnic groups .
We don't have much information regarding Scythians as we don't have any access to Scythian texts beyond some toponymic and tribal names and appellations, and for the science of etymology these are the most controversial and unreliable sources of evidence. What's more those sources who brought the data together aren't very reliable either. In short these informations aren't as reliable as the dna samples extracted from the graves of ruling Scythian elites and the big match between this dna with the common dna which exists exclusively in Turks or in the people who live in the geographical lands Turks ruled for thousands of years.
The link below suggests one of the reasons why people think that Scythians are the proto-Turks.
“Concerning the legacy of the Iron Age nomads, we find that modern human populations with a close genetic relationship to the Scythian groups are predominantly located in close geographic proximity to the sampled burial sites, suggesting a degree of population continuity through historical times. Contemporary descendants of western Scythian groups are found among various groups in the Caucasus and Central Asia, while similarities to eastern Scythian are found to be more widespread, but almost exclusively among Turkic language speaking (formerly) nomadic groups, particularly from the Kipchak branch of Turkic languages "Genetic origins and legacy of the Scythians and Sarmatians

The war techniques used by Scythians are idential with Turks’ and also just like Huns and Kok-Turks they too were using runic alphabet which Iranic people didn’t have and didn’t use. These are the other reason which makes people think that Turks and Scythians are the same people

To the Scythians, Dionysus was a foreign god, so they translated him into their language, and the Greeks added a Greek suffix to his name (Borystenes). The point is that there are three Hungarian words in the name. Wine, (Hungarian "BOR"), god (Hungarian: ISTEN), and the first syllable of the Hungarian word for god is an old version of the word ős, still in use in the 12th century (Hungarian: ŐS, in Old Hungarian: ÍS).

The eagle is the symbol of the celestial being, the deer is the symbol of the relationship with the celestial being. The body of the stag is the framework of the relationship with God. It has two frames, one is the created world and the other is my personal body. The deer coming out of the eagle's mouth symbolizes that the relationship with God, and its frame, is born through the word of God in the created world. The Scythians were Iranian tribes, from the nomadic Aryan people, who geographically reached from the north to the southern plains of Siberia, from the south to the Caspian Sea to Central Asia, from the east to the Sinkian region to China, and from the west to the Danube River. The Scythians were Iranian both racially and linguistically, and they themselves were divided into different tribes such as Scythians, Dahe, Massagets, Amirgians, and even new and evolved tribes such as the Sarmatians and even the Parthians themselves. I doubt the Scythians descended from the Celts, or vice versa. There are genetic / archeological arguments:
    - The haplogroup associated with proto-Celts is R1b (as well as with proto-Germanic, or proto-Italic) coveing most of West Europe.
    - while haplogroup of the Scythians is R1a (as a part of proto-Iranians, as well as proto-Balto-Slovians dwelling in Eastern Europe and much of Asia).
Generally speaking, Vistula river and the Carpathians Mountains range were a border line not only between Germania and Scytia, but also between 2 main indoeuropean peoples R1b and R1a.
In both haplogroups fair hair or red hair and blue eyes were / are common, and they acquire these physical features when they were still part of one indoeuropean people, so before 4000-3000 BCE probably.
It means much earlier than both Scytian and Celtic ethnicities had formed. Celtic culture formed only about 700 BCE (Hallstat), Scythian culture formed about 1000-900 BCE (in early Iron Age, with rise of early horse cavalry in eurasian steppe).

"Since their language is Indo-eur*pean" is the shittiest and the worst argument I have ever seen. What source are you basing this on? What are you defending, citing as evidence? To make such a claim as if it were accepted, without providing any sources or arguments, is clearly nothing more than vile, Indo-eur*pean propaganda from the nineteenth century advocating white eur*pean supremacy. Currently, no archaeological, linguistic, or genetic data indicates that the Scythians spoke an Iranian language. There are those who "think" it is, based on just a few small pieces of data. You are trying to make the Scythians look like Indo-eur*peans by associating only a few words that may have passed into Scythians from other languages with their "similarity" to Iranian languages (not even directly proved though). However, on the other hand, there are dozens of Scythian word records with direct similarity with Turkic words. None of these words are found in Iranian languages. In addition, the Scythian ruins found around the Altai Mountains are another proof that the Scythians were not of Iranian origin. It is clear that the runes found in the ruins around Lake Issyk are not related to any Indo-eur*pean language or alphabet. A 6 year old child can also see that this script is clearly related to the Göktük alphabet, which was later completely deciphered. Yet by ignoring them, you dare to say "Since they spoke an Indo-eur*pean language" in support of theories that defend your white eur*pean supremacy.

No genetic analysis shows that the Scythians were Indo-eur*pean. Based on the nonsense that R haplogroups belong entirely to Yamnaya people, you are trying to portray all ancient civilizations with R haplogroups from yourself. However, I have bad news for you. Racial/ethnic classification based on haplogroups is not scientific, and haplogroups that emerged thousands of years ago, even from cultural regions, cannot be associated with any nation/culture/ethnicity/race. Because these haplogroups spread among unrelated cultures even before the cultural regions emerged. I say this as a genetics student. You are still propagating nonsense, based on racist approaches from the nineteenth century, that have lost their scientific validity, and that the Indo-eur*peans are the spreasers of civilization and the highest civilization. Fortunately, with scientific studies in recent years, these genetic analyzes are interpreted more accurately and you cannot make propaganda. As before, the views that argue that a single haplogroup belongs to a nation are gradually disappearing with scientific studies, but unfortunately, pages like you continue to defend these mistakes. For instance, you have argued for years that the "high and mighty" civilization that domesticated the horse was also the Yamnaya people. However, this has been proven wrong with the remains of Botai Culture people whose existence has been known for years. It was the Botai culture that first domesticated the horse and taught other societies how to tame them, and we are sure of this today. But communities like you still ignore these facts and persistently support the nineteenth century argument that the Indo-eur*peans domesticated the horse and spread civilization around the world.

The word HAL in Hungarian means both animal fish and the process of dying. On the Scythian tattoo, on the leg, there is a standing fish. ÁLL in Hungarian means the verb to stand.
    HAL+ÁLL: HALÁL.
The word HALÁL in Hungarian means death. The tattoo is a warning that every step in our lives brings us closer to death. In the 10th century, this symbol is found on Hungarian canes.
In the zodiac, Pisces is opposite Virgo. If Virgo is up and Pisces is down, and Virgo turns the Pisces around with her hand, this symbolizes the Virgo reversing death. This is not a mutant mermaid. This symbol can be found in Otranto, Italy and in the Hungarian church near Oradea.

Majority of huns were of northeast asian descent before migrating westward. Also, there are 3 pillars on the grasslands of Mongolia that represented the 3 great steppe empires/civilizations, xiongnu/hun, gokturk & mongol. Darius crossed the Black Sea at the Bosphorus Straits using a bridge of boats. Darius conquered large portions of Eastern Europe, even crossing the Danube to wage war on the Scythians. Darius invaded Scythia with his general Megabazus, where the Scythians evaded Darius's army, using feints and retreating eastwards while laying waste to the countryside, by blocking wells, intercepting convoys, destroying pastures and continuous skirmishes against Darius's army.[7] Seeking to fight with the Scythians, Darius's army chased the Scythian army deep into Scythian lands, mostly in what is modern-day Ukraine, where there were no cities to conquer and no supplies to forage. In frustration Darius sent a letter to the Scythian ruler Idanthyrsus to fight or surrender. The ruler replied that he would not stand and fight with Darius, unless the Persians found and desecrated the graves of the Scythians' forefathers. Until then, they would continue their strategy as they had no cities or cultivated lands to lose.[8] Despite the evading tactics of the Scythians, Darius' campaign was so far relatively successful.[9] As presented by Herodotus, the tactics of the Scythians resulted in the loss of their best lands and damage to their loyal allies.[9] The fact is thus that Darius held the initiative.[10] As he moved eastwards in the cultivated lands of the Scythians, he remained resupplied by his fleet and lived to an extent off of the land.[9]
While moving eastwards in the European Scythian lands, he captured Gelonos, the large fortified city of the Budini, one of the allies of the Scythians, and burnt it.[9]
