im moving into mary Park in about 4 days and just wonder if that's any different to this. i stayed in ward during the june overnight orientation and that felt very... barebones but im glad to see that that's alleviated with a bit of personalization. if you have any advice i'd really appreciate it cos im kinda worried tbh

soo Mary Park dorms have the same format as Mary Ward (and a better lobby tbh LOL) and I also felt how ... lacking the room was. but honestly there's lots of potential and space for your own style and comfort! I looked up a ton of videos and pictures on pinterest for some inspiration, and throughout the year sorta adjusted lights/furniture/decors more to my liking. don't sweat it if it's not exactly the room of your dreams the first few weeks ~ throughout the year I'm sure you'll make it your own :) supa excited for you and good luck!

Hi! I honestly really love it here :) the weather here is gorgeous, the ppl are very welcoming and inclusive, and there's always something to do whether on campus or a quick trip to the city or nearby neighborhoods! I actually regret not doing more than staying in my room all day tbh đđ

hmm so I haven't really gotten to a lot of the core major classes yet, but it hasn't been bad so far! I think your success definitely depends on how much effort you put into your learning (and an instructor with a good rating on rate my professor LOL), but there's definitely a lot of support on campus for cs students!

How many years does a college student stay in the dorm?
the sfsu residential halls (where I live) are reserved for only first years and we typically only live here for two semesters (a school year). But there's tons more on-campus housing options that are available for second years and above that you can apply to live in for two semesters at a time I believe!

I found some information for all the housing options in sfsu you can check out! -- and I believe meal plans are required for first year students
