My bolt was so great I was gifted another. I think you got a bad unit. I'm on 6+ years for one of mine. The LEDs have burned out already. I've jumped cars 20+ times over the years. It's giving up now tho, not holding charge well at all anymore but definitely got my use from it. Daily charger for 30&65w usbc-PD devices

I've had mine for years and jumped my car at least 20 times with this it's awesome, I can even get 4-5 jumps before having to recharge. BUT, if you're jumping your car and the light will not go solid and just stays blinking, I've discovered that's because the battery has no charge at all. So it won't jump start if the battery is dead dead, it's got to have a tiny bit of juice in it. I think this is because it wants to detect a tiny amount of current, just enough to make sure you haven't hooked up positive to negative and vice versa.

Strange... I wonder if you got a bad one to begin with. My bolt has jumped everything from my riding mower to a 7.3 Powerstroke; although, that one took a while from a deeply discharged battery. Unfortunately, it got dropped in a bucket of water and I’m letting it dry out completely before I charge it back up.

@Lord Cygnus quite mad. I drilled 2 small holes in it; one to take compressed air and one to pull vacuum. Ran that cycle for 15 minutes to remove all water. Then I let it sit for a week.
      And it works brilliantly. 🤣

These things are junk alright, last the 90 day warranty but fails soon after and you may get to jump 50 cars before it takes no more charges and becomes worthless.

I can tell you the battery you had in your hand 5800mAh is fake. The best 18650 is Samsung 3600 mAh 35A discharge rate. As for the Halo Bolt I was looking into this thing for a family member before they fall for QVC adds. I have the Audew Jump starter 20000mAh and it work great now that I fixed it. Yes I had to fix a brand new jumper pack because when it was assembled 1 of the 4 batteries had a low voltage and for some reason the BMS would not charge this battery to the level of the other 3. 3 batteries have 4.02 volts at full charge but the other had 3.60 volts. I sent Audew a message about my problem and they sent me another pack free of charge and I get to keep the first one also. They even offered me a 70% refund of the $89.99 I spent. I said no because I have 2 packs that work fine and I do not want to hurt the company when it was a easy fix. Yes some people would take the 70% refund with the 2 packs but is that the right thing to do? NO!

You need to keep it charge a least one bar if you let it fall below that it could damage it faster and one day it won’t take any charge

Can you tell how it’s supposed to be opened? I’m assuming it’s with the pin holes on the sides, but I’d like to be sure before sticking things in them. I have one that was dropped and the plugs in the car charging port got misaligned.

I Don't own 1 but did you buy it used , have a low charge or store it near the "Ground" ? Also , these Ion packs do need to be Drained of its charge at a minimum of 65% & preferably TOTALY dead or THEN Recharge the first few rounds of use . ION batteries have "Muscle Memory" unlike regular triple A's . Once receiving ANY Ion ALWAYS drain that thing And Fully charge it then repeat at least once of it'll go to crappp in no time . Could be A day or a year but no where as long as if you readied that ion for long-term use .

Srry but your review is horrible and inaccurate! I have the same exact halo bolt u are using. Not only has it started my car instantly, many times. But I’ve also helped a bunch of people , since I work in a mall. It literally has worked perfectly every time I’ve used it!!!!

QC might be poor, mine couldn't really ever jump our 3.1L V6, 120v output works fine but USB is slow to charge alot of devices
