That's the thing about Coldplay, they have always been a treasure to find! Sometimes I find it okay that not all of their songs are globally known, it's just better this way. People who have been true to the band knows that Coldplay is a gem! No awards can do the justice to the music they make🤍

One of, if not the greatest musical masterpieces ever. They are so freaking good, it’s nuts. This song is so deep, so perfectly done, every time I listen to it, I’m just blown away. Coldplay has the best fans in the world and are loved by so many but they still don’t get the credit they deserve.
Coldplay are one of the bands/artists that it’s ‘cool to hate’ unfortunately. But they lean into it now, they don’t really care
@@skaterlad1234 yeah I agree. It seems like most early 2000’s bands get hate now days. But Coldplay is one of the very few that are still around and more successful than just about any other band to ever exist. In my book, they are the best but I know there are many other greats.

I'm absolutely obsessed with this song and play it endlessly and repeatedly. It's so beautiful from the lyrics to the music to the way it is performed. It's one of my favorite songs ever, and that says a lot.

They played here in Brazil a few weeks ago. Three shows in Rio. This is one of my favorite songs and I was truly afraid of not listening to this live, due to the fact that they don’t usually play it. I had to change the tickets because of work, I couldn’t go to the Sunday show, but I managed to go on the Tuesday one. And guess what… Tuesday was the only day they played it. It was one of the most magical moments I’ve ever lived

Being one of the fans of PF and 'lost'myself (..and my youngest daughter follows..) in all the songs of COLDPLAY which isn't 'cold' at all and most certainly a great 'play'. I don't know if I would go that far, but it is without a doubt the best on the album. The whole album ranges from pretty good to average and then this absolute masterpiece comes out of nowhere. Best song they've ever written for me.
@@xelumbra What they said actually has some truth with it, Guy Berryman said they had to go behind Max Martin’s back (the producer of MOTS) to record Coloratura how they wanted it to be, instead of having a pop version of Coloratura. They definitely had a lot more passion for Coloratura than the others given that they were willing to rewrite the song without a producer, but yeah, they still wanted to make the other songs.
@@LunadeMusic wait is that why the past couple albums sucked? I’m a huge Coldplay fan, but I feel like A Head Full of Dreams was their last album. This song, Coloratura, is the only song that felt like the ColdPlay I grew up with in the 90’s and 00’s. Ghost Stories was an acquired taste for me, I ended up liking it more after a year. I just can’t even listen to 95% of their latest stuff.

This is one of the best songs from Coldplay and believe me it is hard to pick. From scientist, us against the world, Amsterdam, magic, yellow, fix you, there are so many! It's it tough for a real fan to make up their minds when it comes to selecting the best. Coldplay has it all. This will be a classic. It is the space oddity - David bowie of our time and believe me it is up there.

Epic. They pulled it off brilliantly with all its complexities, dynamic changes and instrumentation. I can understand why some of "M.O.T.S." is getting slagged, but for people to ignorantly say that Coldplay have lost their way is baffling. Are bands not allowed to grow and change with the times? Thank God The Beatles didn't keep singing "Yeah, Yeah, Yeah" through the sixties. And while this (to my ears) harkens back to some of their earlier work, I appreciate that they reinvent with each record rather than repeat themselves.

I truly wish they played this more on tour, but it genuinely looked really hard and exhausting to play for Chris. The piano notes seem more complex, and on top of remembering lyrics, it might be too taxing to play regularly. Absolutely love this song though- best song on the album!
