As an Asian who had tried "overdose" consuming Yakult, I can confirm that it won't kill you, but you're gonna spend some good time in the toilet.

Fun Fact: The reason Yakult is in a "shot" size is because it has live bacteria. Making the size bigger will cause some customers to leave it for later, causing that bacteria to die, rendering the drink useless.

As a kid, me and my siblings would always poke a small hole in the top with a toothpick and drink it from there cause it just tasted better that way somehow. Also if you freeze them, they taste super good. Would be epic if you made a Yakult kulfi 🤔

Yeah same. My grandpa when I was still living in Philippines, got me loads of things to eat after school. One of then being Yakult. He was so kind. He also got me a bunch of other Filipino consumables like Cheese Rings (and sometimes McDonalds but we call it “McDo” for a funny short term). I still drink Yakult to this day. He then died on the May if 2019, cried an ocean of tears that night I found out. I believe his name was Prudencio and he died at 55 years of age.

My mom asked this when visiting the Yakult factory in the Netherlands. The small shots are to protect the bacterias. If it would be in a pack you would use for a couple of days, the bacterias would desintegrate.

As a person that indulges in Yakult almost every day id like to say I’m honoured
as a filipino, yakult has been one of my favorite drinks ever, i never get enough of it because theres only 5 in one pack, and it can only supply me for 4 days since i atleast take 2 at the first day lmao, i love it and i will never forget it.

Hey! My dad actually works in the manufacturing of Yakult. It has a lot of benefits for digestion as it’s high in good bacteria which assists in gut health. A lot of elderly people drink this but it’s for all age groups. It is recommended however to have around 2 a day.
