@IshootURface if the guy's allergic, it's his responsibility to carry what will meet his specific needs. I can't be carrying condoms for every guy's special needs. And if the guy is too stupid to carry something to meet his needs he's too stupid to sleep with me.

The current culture doesn't need to speak in this kind of code. We are visible and part of the community, with manhunt holding our specific likes and don't likes. With widespread acceptance and alternative, instead of gay, bars...well we are losing the identifiers, and the culture that once existed. I miss going to a bar full of men. Frankly I miss going to a bar that hasn't been infiltrated by heteros. It's great you think we're cool, leave us at least one spot where we can be alone?
What would the hanky code be used for? Is it like a next-day thing, where you tell your friends what you did last night by waving a hanky? Or an in-the-club thing, where you're like, "Hey, I want you to pee on me" by showing someone a yellow one? I'm not judging, I just don't understand the functionality.

As a gay man, I would suggest you learn about it and other parts of gay history as it's a cultural pride thing. Not that you need to "flag" to be gay.
