- A great walk for the ‘first time’ fell walker or children. Plenty of free parking at Martindale Church (St Peter's Church), which is west from Pooley Bridge and just up from Howtown. Great views over Ullswater, so well worth the effort!

For such a small fell the climb offers big rewards. Got to be one of the best in the Lakes + there's a fantastic little circular walk around the bottom of fell that drops right down to the edge of Ullswater.
Chris Sale - To true Chris, it was great to sit and relax at the top, I could have spent the afternoon there to be honest. I will be back for a wildcamp as soon as the weather is right. Cheers Alan

You were so lucky the little church was open... sad indeed so many have to be locked up now! Beautiful scenery but then that is what I always expect from your videos!!! Amazing sunglasses, my friend... blue.... wow!
It was such a shame to hear that things were being stolen from the church and a sad indication of the times we live it today but I was determined not to let it spoil the day. An old video this one but good to look back sometimes. Real good of you to watch and comment, cheers Alan

Love Hallin Fell. Sorry to here the church has had vandalism 😭
Graham Saunders - Thanks Graham and yes, very sad to read about all the trouble they have been having. Apparently, anything worth stealing has been taken, such a shame as it is such a lovely church. Thanks very much for watching. Cheers Alan
Good informative video, I'm thinking of doing that walk tomorrow Nov 18th. It's a great view along Martindale to the Nab.
After I do Hallin Fell I'm wanting to go to the end of the dale and walk along to the Nab hoping I might see some Red Deer.
Thanks very much for watching and your very kind comments. I hope you have a great walk up Hallin Fell tomorrow and fingers crossed for some good weather for you, cheers Alan

The hardest thing I find about going walking is finding the start of the paths, I hope I'm not the only one who sometimes struggles with that.
