- I find little hard to catch yellow tail in winter .. so its perfect time to collect mullet .. and target the river Jewfish.. and this is the cheap and easy way to collect your own bait... I am happy to share my knowledge with your guys ... thanks for watching again... enjoy the video..

Usually i Walk around the edges & have look around if there are mullets before I put my trap .. hope it helps .. there are some creek around Brighton has plenty of mullet..

usually most of the rivers has it.. if you walk along the river and creeks.. but this one was on cooks river

Catch heaps out west Sydney.. get a beaten old falcon and do a burnout and they come flooding in.. and I'm pretty sure your aloud to use a net

Wefish Regardless of the knockers posting so far who brag but know shit about what your doing and give shit and derogatory options, THIS IS A VERY GOOD VIDEO. YEH IF YOU HAVE MONEY TO BURN YOU CAN CUSTOM BUILD AN ABSOLUTE CLEAR TRAP OUT OF CRYSTAL CLEAR ACRYLIC and wich I have researched and will set you back around $200 building it yourself. But this method is something anyone can do with a bit of patience to get bait needed for the mythical Jewfish in Australia, which grow to around 100 pound and more. What the hell is wrong with you knockers. Obviously just keep what you need for a fishing session. 20 is the limit hence nothing wrong with that but its easy to overdo it and get excess to your needs at the time as you don't need that many for a jewie session.Great video, thanks for posting!!

david galainy high tide is the best time.. before you put your trap ... you have to find mullets .. they move around .. they don’t stay on same place .. but once they grow little big they move to the sea .. hint you can still get it around creeks 😉

Your only aloud 20 mullet for bat fish and the hole is supposed to be 60mm,and your supposed to have a tag with your details on it floating at water level above the trap

Dude those are so small, you should not hunt them if they are under a certain size. But I do not know the laws in your state and also I do not know what is the size of adult mullet, but those just seemed a little bit small to me.
You can use them as live bait (limit is 20 per person)
(He has a fish tank air pump on his bucket so he just swaps the water every so often an that pump runs to supply oxygen so the bait doesnt die)
