A FASTag is a sticker that is attached to the windshield of your car and has an imprinted Radio-frequency Identification (RFID) barcode which is linked with the registration details of your vehicle. As you drive through any toll plaza on any national highway in India, FASTag readers will read the code and will deduct the amount required to pass the barrier.

Can one vehicle's FASTag be used in another vehicle?
No, FASTag is issued after submission of KYC documents for every specific vehicle. Suppose a FASTag is purchased for a car and has been used in a truck, then such FASTag will be blacklisted. Users are instructed not to do this at all.

bhai aap bol rahe ho purse se bhi deduct ho jayega but aapane glass me lagaya tab deduct hua usako car me kahin bhi rakhenge to ho jana chahiye tha . . ek baar kahin bhi rakhakar try karakr dekhiye mujhe lagat hai deduct nahi hoga main bhi apani gadi me pest nahi kiya hun alag se card bana kar rakha hun glass me touch karane par hi toll katata hai

No No, Just hiding inside a car might result in deduction... But if covered properly with Aluminum Foil, will surely make it digitally invisible.

yes they can deduct, but if you're tell them you're local residents they usually won't.. fastag covering will help in giving some time to you to tell him (operator) your condition. 😄
