    I always thought the Haunted Manor looked out of place in the city.

  • @Admb_
    @Admb_ Před 2 lety +33

    I would say flip pop culture Street around 180 degrees so the taller buildings are together and the kwik-e-mart is at the front so the landscape is gradually building up and the smaller buildings are at the front so you can see them better.

    • @txoptimusbob
      @txoptimusbob Před 2 lety

      But then it would be harder to see Ghostbusters Firehouse and the sitcom tower. And they honestly look so great together it would be a shame if it wasn’t immediately visible

    • @Admb_
      @Admb_ Před 2 lety +1

      @@txoptimusbob I know because I like them like that you would probably be able to see the sides and backs though. Or brickie could get rid of the space the kwik-e-mart is in and move it so part of the road isn't at the front instead the kwik-e-mart with the road back a bit.

    Have you ever thought on making train tracks above the roads? Something like Chicago. I think it would add some density to the Lego City.

    Way better, although my suggestion would be to remove the buildings running along the amusement park and make the third section of buildings (where the bike park is planned presently) two baseplates wide like the others.
    Will surely give you more modular space… plus you already have the camp ground for that stuff.

    • @Funglejunk81
      @Funglejunk81 Před 2 lety +1

      I know you’re excited to trial the other style baseplates there but the buildings infront of the amusement park look wrong and you can see the backs of them.

    This is my favorite type of video, watching the City evolve… and the time lapse really shows the amount of work it takes to make the best layout possible. While I’m sure the park is temporary until more Modular’s are built… I do agree that you should swap locations with the row of Modular’s next to the amusement park. You’ve worked too hard on that area to cover it up. Keep up the great work

    • @thomashayes507
      @thomashayes507 Před 2 lety

      Totally agree! Including the time-laps vid was great to see … and having the park be in between the city and the amusement park makes a lot of sense! I am looking forward to seeing the landscaping of the park! Very smart to migrate to MILS so there will be much more opportunity to have more terrain possibilities. Most “real” larger cities have the trains underground anyways! 🤗

    Really liked the update, but to be frankly , the train is missing as a part of the city
    It would be really awesome to create a railway above the city, add some mountains with tunnels (as a suggestion)
    Then connect the trains obove the rebuild city to your other city in the room. Add your awesome MOC station to it and by doing that both cities are connected ,
    But then again it is a suggestion, and in my humble opinion that would
    Look awesome

    You can put the train station beneath the table with the train tracks. Also I've always wondered why you had so many railroad tracks around the city, I knew it would give you so much space if you freed it up, so I'm glad you guys noticed that too. You can even get rid of some more of the roads too to make more space for modulars. The park idea is cool, but you could also maybe just make it half that size because you already have the forest with the camp site. I could see a skatepark next to it. Maybe you can add a public pool, doctor's offices, of course the arcade, a karate dojo, laundromat, or a skatepark. Things like that. But yes I love the progress!! Great job guys ((:: hope you don't mind my suggestions.

    @steveewens2187 Před 2 lety +1

    Absolutely awesome, I enjoyed the timelapse of the changes, and love the idea of having a park. One idea, or something I would try is remove the road between the building and park, make a big park at the town hall end and put more modulars at the other end where the blank green baseplates (I know they won't remain blank) and the other end of the road is. This can be done when you remove the train track at the back of the amusement park leaving half a baseplate for an alley between the two modulars (where the road currently is). I have probably just confused you, but you just go with your vision it will be awesome I'm sure. That's what I love about a modular city, just so many options my problem is getting back into it too late and not enough $$$$
