RESTORATION MY FAMILY'S ABANDONED TOWER SPEAKER

First veneering and painting, although those were some pretty lower watt woofers, definitely not some high-end speakers, probably not worth repairing. But it's my family's old speakers, full of my childhood memories, and of course it was me who pushed the dust cap in like that. So i enjoyed the whole restoration process, and i'm pretty satisfied with the result,.

I must stay you were lucky that the bass surrounds and spiders and the glues holding it all together weer still ussable. I recently repaired some old 3 way monitors and out of the baas unitst, only one voice coil and the two cones survived, I could not repair the mid ranges and although I thought the tweeters were ok after a bit one started buzzing, Fractured glue between diaphragm and voice coil.
Manged to get some modern but obsolescent equivalents to the mid ranges shipped in from Australia, but they didn't fit so a mate 3D printed and adapter plate to mate them to the original facepplates.
Expensive, but a labour of love really.

some car speakers would be a cheap upgrade but next time dont line the insides with rubber but fill it with 1) pondfilter or 2) pillow stuffing

Надо было добавлять третий динамик на среднюю частоту, ставить фильтр... Объём позволяет.

The big disappointment is, that you did not do anything to improve the sound quality of the speakers. That small resistor on the tweeters doesn't do anything. Both drivers will play frequencies, that they should not play and in the end that will just sound ugly. With the right improvements, these speakers would be capable of a much better sound.
