Finally someone who pours the dirty water in the toilet and not the sink 👏🏽👏🏽👏🏽👏🏽
I read the comments to see if anyone mentioned pouring in the toilet - I immediately wondered if there was a reason to do that, and not just in the sink (or outside if you've used biodegradable products)?
One of my favourite CZcamsrs fills her bucket in the kitchen sink. She doesn’t show where she dumps it but either way that gross. No matter how much you disinfect your kitchen sink, your mop, washing your pets and the like should never be done in the kitchen sink. 🤢
some people doesn't even want that either on their toilets... should be outside.
Flush the toilet and as the water goes down dump in your mop bucket water. Less splash back
@@cocoaicado NOT pour cleaner water/chemicals outside! Many drains go straight to the ocean in a lot of areas. If you pour into the toilet, it is going where waste water goes to get treated.
Bet you didn't think you'd get so much criticism about mopping. I loved the tips. Honestly I just love to watch people clean and you clean like a normal human being so that's always a plus for me because I too am a normal human being. 💙
❤️❤️❤️
Steam mops are wonderful and kill bacteria as well as drying in record time
Can't be used on wooden floor and floor board though
They can be used on sealed hardwood
@@SandraDemrovski45612 I wouldn't risk it
@@AmysAttitude it is not ignorance but work experience. No need to be nasty.
@@E_w_aI have used steamer on my oak floors for years
I used to mop conventionally. But now I vacuum with the shark lift away and then use the Bissell cross wave CORDED. No weird smells and you can rinse the cup and the brush filter and lids. My old mop could never.
Just buy a steam cleaner. So easy to use kills any germs and dries fast. Also you can spray a bit of cleaning solution on the pad but there’s no need the high heat will kill the germs. No fragrance and better for your hormones and the eco friendly.
A steam cleaner doesn’t kill germs since most steamers don’t get up to the recommended temperature and u have to let it stay in contact for 10 mins
SURE , EVERYONE CAN AFFORD TO BUY THEM! NOT 😝😝😝😝😝. MOREOVER NOT EVERYONE HAS ELECTRICITY!
Eh i just do a first mop getting the tough spots with boiling water and cleaner. Then dump the water and do just a hot water mop with no cleaner. Works everytime with no film.
Always rinse with fresh water after soaping floor. Like washing dishes, soap and rinse.
The vaccum/mop is great idk what you’re talking about. Great for keeping up during the week and it’s easy to clean
And no smell. I have dogs and use odoban. It's 99 disinfectant and all natural so it doesn't hurt my dog.
i agree, save time...if it smell bad it's that you don't clean it after...and put the roller in oxyclean for an hour can be good idea.
I hate cleaning it ❤️
As a professional cleaner.. Vacuuming is the way to go!!! Work smarter, not harder
Agree! I love my Tineco mop and couldn’t live without it lol
Those cleaning slippers look neat! Ive never seen those before!
❤️❤️❤️
I just use mom covers on my feet. Lol
@@DM-ss4fm what is that?
@@AndreaJeanwhere do you buy them?
Amazon of course.
Put a separate bucket in the mop bucket for clean water then what’s flung out will go in the main bucket it’s a cheap hack compared to buying the special 2 part mop buckets 😏
I had a bissel crosswave and wasnt that impressed. I gave it to my friend that's disabled she loves it! I'm glad it went to use!
We had our hardwood floors refinished a few years ago and were told to only use white distilled vinegar and water on them.
Same i only use vinegar and water on the floors because of pets and babies .
Vinegar doesn't clean
@@fburton8455 it does clean look it up
@@fburton8455 yes. It does. It is an acid so it does clean and kills germs.
Not true
Unfortunately, some of us can't sweep or mop. The back and forth of the mop/broom gives me a lower back/waist pain. I use, of course, vacuum mop. When i want to just do a quick mop/sweep, I use a microfiber pad. A side to side wipe like a dust mop doesn't hurt my back. I don't know why it doesn't hurt my back it just is what it is.
I went to a store to compare mops and noticed cheaper ones tend to have a shorter stick. I use Bona and never gives me any issues, and this is coming from someone with a fragile back. I can’t stand Swiffer, gives me a sore back. Other longer sticks I can think of is commercial ones. My uncle’s wife used to be a school custodian and she’d have no issues at all.
I totally love the mop-vac. Easy to use, and it doesn’t stink if you…ahem…clean it.
They are a pain to clean ❤️
@@AndreaJeanthey aren't. The parts of mine can also get cleaned in the dishwasher, from time to time. Otherwise just give it a rinse and let it dry.
@@AndreaJean That's strange, I don't have trouble cleaning mine. It does have a self-cleaning setting, and then I just pour out the dirty water and air dry. It works for me.
I love mine too! It saves my back and my knees by not needing to vacuum/sweep and then mop. So much easier to pull off parts and rinse
@@AndreaJeanWeird. I clean them the way the manual says and it's been no trouble at all. But I use a crosswave
I use those slippers too 😂 sometimes there are spots on the floor that won't come up with the mop but are removable by those slippers. Also I'm never having white floors again after we move!
Tineco is awesome... but I couldnt afford it. So I have a Crosswave and cleaning them are easy if you follow the directions in the manual. And they dont smell bad
Love the slippers!
❤️❤️❤️
And make sure you rinse the floor too !
Love ur slow pass so we can actually understand and love ur soft slow voice! Please keep making more videos! TY Linda. Pa.
Thank you! Will do!
You have this way of making cleaning fun and exciting
I am so glad 😃
Thank you! I can't afford a tineco or Bissell so this was very helpful.

Yay! Thank you!
All of you Californians are in my thoughts during the nasty times with the flooding and mudslides and now earthquakes🙏🙏.
-always sweep before you mop, especially if you don't want to haul around a vacuum and/or save electricity.
-use Pinalen (Mexican Pinesol that has the old school classic Pinesol scent)
-mop the floors
-enjoy the outdoorsy Pine tree scent.
(I don't recommend pine products if you have dogs, pine is toxic to them)
thnx, didn't know that, throwing 😳 OUT everything with pine, don't want my fur boy harmed
Pinelan your using is made with pine and that stuff comes from the same place as pinesol..
I love those socks , I wear them all the time , bought about a dozen pairs
I needed a vacuum really bad. I searched and search and still ended up getting something very expensive that it’s not much help for me. I am 72 and have arthritis all over my by. So I purchased an O’cedar, the second one and I still don’t like it. What I need is a housecleaning lady that won’t bust my vacuum like the last one.
Great suggestions!
Love watching your videos, you are an amazing lady. Thank you for your super smart cleaning hacks I love your homemade power wash I use it all the time❤❤
Thank you so much!
Love the tips! What is the homemade power wash? Do you have a video short for that too? 😃
Love the mop
I was trained that to save your back mop in an S pattern.
"S" pattern is fine on linoleum and tile foors.
Crossing the grain on wooden planks floors MORE dirt & moisture into joints.
UNLESS A WOOD PRODUCT IS WARANTEED WATERPROOF, Use
stretches and warm up exercise to protect your back.
I had the Turbo mop system that is similar to the o'cedar but not as sturdy. I loved the mop. The fastest most cleaningist method. My sister broke the bucket. Finally my floor got so dirty I broke down and used the mop hand squeezing it out. Still my favorite mop. I use dish detergent on my vinyl floor. Biodegradable from Costco my fav. Nothing better. I leave my mop head in the sun for up to two days to dry thoroughly and avoid smells. I like your floor drying socks, but I usually mop barefoot, hence biodegradable soap. Good for pets, too.
Vinyl as in sheet vinyl?
@@susansmith493 Yeah, that shit. Old school. Sheet vinyl is still good for kitchen floors. Yeah vinyl gasses off (toxic stink) when it is new, but just keep things well ventilated as long as it stinks, as it does have plusses if not for everybody 1) vinyl is soft and insulating and you're less likely to break things on vinyl than say tile. 2) Better than engineered formica flooring on particle type board as that stuff is bad with water in a kitchen. 3) wood is not really great with water in a kitchen. 4) vinyl plank flooring has too many seams, also bad with water 5) Real linolium is a healthier long lasting choice, but $$$$ and you don't have the same color/pattern choices. 5) Budget cabin choice is floor paint, renewed now and then.
@@OWK000 Sheet vinyl is underrated. It'll make a huge comeback. I replaced my old house decades old linoleum with new actual linoleum and you're right. It was EXPENSIVE! But I don't have a massive modern kitchen and I love the vintage look.
Somehow missed if the cleaning packets are 👍for hardwood floors.
I just bought that mop and buckets spinner. I'll get those floor tab cleaners today! Thanks!
I love my Tineco vac/mop!
I use a steam mop distilled vinegar 2 capfuls in my water .
I love my steam mop, you can walk on white socks after moping.😉
why the vinegar tho? it doesnt do anything the steam doesnt do.
@@blah914 keeps any minerals from hard water clogging up your mop .
@@lindapeters5497 cant said ive ever had that problem, but we probably have different water 🤷♀️
I guess I'll be heading to Step 2 soon!!
Thank you❤
You're welcome 😊
Great tips. I’m going to see if the items you suggested in the video are available in the UK. Thanks. 🙏
Thank u so so much for the last tip. I have to go to a laundromat so i never put these in the laundry but i do have a utility room sink so i could clean it like that...hmmm😮
You are so welcome!
Ooh I’ve got the Tineco (which she hates… apparently) and I LOVE it. Swiffer is expensive and doesn’t do much while mopping is way too much water for genuine hardwood floors. The newer Tineco also has a self clean cycle (about 5-10mins) and doesn’t smell if you care for it🙃 for me, WAY less effort than soaking a mop overnight
It does self clean but you still need to take it apart, clean and let it air dry 👍
TY ❤❤❤❤
Love ur videos. From a follower. Merry Christmas 🎄🎄🎄
Same to you 🥰
That first swiffer pad looked amazing.
My only thing is that if your vacuum has a *soft* roller head it absolutely gets all that dust. I do recommend the swiffer for the walls, and I recommend using a traditional mop to wipe the baseboards, because bending down can be a lot.
I Swiffer excess dirt/hair then use my Bissell Crosswave. Works great and clean it after!
Woo hoo, Andrea! These tips may be simple but they are soooo good to know! ❤
So glad!
Do you need to rinse?
Who doesn’t already know this? Common sense
I have that mop. I was wearing gloves when using it and the glove (too loose) wrapped around the spinning handle and twisted my thumb.
I was fine. But for those who wear gloves while cleaning, beware.
What kind of chemicals are in that solution to make it smell good?
Citrus lol…. Idk 🤷🏻♀️
I don't like those mop make the floor very wet, i used an old conton towel.and a thing in Brazil caled rodo.
As a vacuum collector, 💯💯agree those vacuum mop things are a pain in the ass. Also, if you want one that REALLY scrubs the floor, you need one with a stiff rotating brush. Not a soft one.
Nothing beats good old manual moping IMO
How do you get those mop heads to dry? I had mine propped up for days before it dried,
In the dryer medium heat 👍
saved this!
❤️❤️❤️
I have the Shark lift away & love it. It has the removable canister with a removable filter that you can rinse & add a fragrance to it. The canister can be rinsed. Vacuuming leaves a nice scent in my home. Just bought the O Cedar mop today to see how it’ll do for mopping.
I just bought this too ❤️❤️❤️
Where do you get the small packs for the water to mop? Also where do you get the mop slippers? I love your videos. Thank you
Thank you!! They are linked in my Amazon store 👍
Please leave a link to your Amazon bio
I do janitorial work at an elevator manufacturing facility. Talk about satisfying water dumpage.... thick black water from just one back bathroom and that's just one day of usage.
I put my mops in the machine on a 60 degree (Celsius) circle. No bleach needed.
Also bring you water to a near simmer in the stove, pour in bucket, it dries faster & cleans better
Be careful with hot hot water on hardwood floors 👍
Hi Andrea! Can you please take us through every room and teach us ur ways of organizing and cleaning every room! Sorry for such a talk order but I really admire you! And trust you! Ps. Can you also show us ur ideas on Christmas Decorating! 🥰🙏 Linda, Pa.
Great idea!! ❤️❤️
You are not pulling back rugs to sweep & mop under them? Lots of dirt gets under them.
This is a video less than 1 minute… it’s assumed you would do that as needed 👍
I always mop 2x the cedar measures life so much easier
Do you have any videos on cleaning as a side hustle? What to charge and what to do? Debating if I want to give it a shot. I’m a good cleaner and I enjoy it.
I absolutely hate that sound, I've been trying for months to stop my floors from sounding like I spilled kool aid on my floor
I need the leopard slippers!❤
I don't understand why you aren't using a steam mop. You don't need cleaner, it sanitizes, and it's dry in 30 to 60 seconds.
They aren’t good for hard wood floors 👍
What is that little pkg solution. ? Where do u buy those. ?
All products are linked in the description box or tagged 👍🎉❤️
Step #7: Always give a final mop with HOT, clean water to remove any remaining detergent! You're floor will stay clean longer.
I like pinesol... but I everything else you showed except the excess cleaner in the water.... I do need a pair of those flop mop slippers
Is that an enzyme based cleaner? Would that be needed and or safe on hardwood every time you cleaned?
Gonna try O Cedar pads
If you have a tile floor then it's cleaner if you use more water. Of course you'll have to go over it twice with a dry mop to dry it and leave a window open/turn on a fan to dry it.
If you didnt walk the outside dirt onto a floor how long could it go without cleaning?
I have 4 kids so idk…. Mine needs to be done weekly 🤪
You forgot body posture! You worked so hard and strained your body instead of using your mop as an ab workout while protecting your back!!!
I miss my hardwood floors, they were so easy to clean and it showed. Moved to another place with all laminate flooring and it’s harder to clean them. I feel like nothing is going on when I mop the floor. It’s like there’s a greyish film over them. I’m wondering now how the previous tenants cleaned the floor.
❤️❤️❤️
Um might be water damage or they're worn out need to be replaced which is a pain and expensive..
Someone steam mopped them too often.
The way you have to bend to use that mop would leave my back sore for daaaays!
Lol I am kinda tall 😂
@@AndreaJean Not an option for ppl who have chronic back pain
Would love a link to those Cleaning socks you had on

Those mop heads do great in the washer :)
Yes they do ❤️
I've been wanting to get a mop and bucket like this. Is it as good as it's claims? How sturdy is the foot handle/ wringer?
It’s my favorite!!
Probably should add that this isn’t a good idea for all flooring. Some could be destroyed if the pH of the cleaner isn’t correct or there is too much moisture.
I do agree with cleaning floor first tho.
I would love to do Andrea❤
Very nice
Where do you get your mop socks
Linked in my Amazon store 👍
Do you have a cleaning pattern for a home asking for a friend?
Yes I do!
Umm that’s a huge LIE! The tineco is the best thing I’ve ever used for my floors and I will never go back to using that traditional dirt slosher. You do have to keep up with washing the filter and brush but that’s about it. So idk what you’re trying to say about it. I guess you never kept up with it that’s why it left your house with a bad smell. 😅
Actually not the case at all ❤️
“A huge lie”??!!?? Omg🙄 How about maybe just a difference of opinion..?
Geez maybe keep scrolling if all that can be said is negative and honestly, really ridiculous.
@shanzbe agree
Don't think putting water down your toilet is a good idea.. depends on the septic tank I suppose...
If you have a septic tank just dump it in the yard.
I need yjr cleaning slippers 😆

Mop with the grain? I gave tile.
The tineco is so good and ur being biased. If it stinks it’s cuz u didn’t dump the dirty water or ur floors are dirtier than u think
It’s a pain to clean every time and having to leave it out to air dry….
go natural. cotton vs plastic pads.. remove the chemicals from your home... best thing you can do.
The tineco cleaner is way less steps than pulling out the mop in my opinion
Cleaning it properly is time consuming
When my husband used to lay wax on floor, he would always wax in his old socks.
